  1. @Krulis: Thanks for posting the pictures! Quick Set Reviews: Spiderman: I like the spiderman set. It has three awesome minifigures, two of which are, to my knowledge, exclusive (Venom and Nick Fury). The car looks cool. The Spider-bike looks ok. It looks like an exciting set. Definitely on my wishlist. Batman: This sets only so-so. Batman looks cool, but I could get a similar Batman (though in a different colour) in other sets. I don't really like Aquaman. Mr. Freeze is OK, though I find his character boring. Unlike most superheroes sets, where the minifigs are the stars and the vehicle is less awesome, the reverse is true here. I think that even though the minifigs are only mediocre, the Batboat looks awesome. However, I prefer to play land and air scenes, so I don't think I will be getting this set.
  2. What is "Legends of Chima"?
  3. Maybe they had a bunch left over from Alien Conquest? Is it just me, or does it look like Fury's car can transform? It appears to have wheels attached to the body via Technic pieces. So, I think you could pop the wheels out and have the car be like a regular car, or you could tuck the wheels in for the "flying car" effect.
  4. Except his figure doesn't look like a rat. I don't know if it's just the picture's resolution, but he looks like a mutant horse!
  5. Both new sets are awesome. Both, in terms of composition, are similar to Loki's Cosmic Cube (3 figures + 1 large vehicle), so I think they will be $20 each.
  6. Anyways, having another X-Men set would be awesome!
  7. I don't think the new sets are lackluster. I do, however, think that some of the minifigures aren't very good. The turltes all look great. Shredder looks great. In my personal opinion, Krang looks ugly and Splinter (the rat-guy) looks weird. Splinter and Krang also have bad compatibility with other sets. See, I like Shredder because I could also use him in Ninjago sets, as an evil samurai. The turtles, I might be able to play along with Ninjago sets too.
  8. The Dark Knight Rises Daily, precisely at 11:00 p.m. He only fights at night, don't you know?
  9. The trick is feeling for unique accessories. Another method for telling what's inside the packets is to use the dot method (looking at the dots at the bottom of the packet).
  10. I do hope that they reveal the pictures of the upcoming sets by Christmas, so I could plan my shopping accordingly.
  11. I just want to see what the Shredder set looks like... I don't watch the TMNT show, but I think Shredder looks the coolest of all the villains. (My least favorite is Krang.) Shredder looks like some sort of evil samurai.
  12. And me too!
  13. I'm hoping that the Shredder set comes with Donatello and is priced < $20. Don is my favorite turtle.
  14. I like the top set. (Turtle wearing red bandana chasing after shark guy. Sry, I don't watch TMNT.) What's your guess for the price of that set (in USD)? $10? $20?
  15. Without the blue, it looks more classic, like the early 1990s version of Batman. With the blue, it looks more high-tech and futuristic.
  16. My mini-review: Minifigures look good, though I am not a fan of rock music. The accessories are only ok. Personally, I don't like the guitar. I think having the guitar from Series 7, but in a different colour would be better. The drum kit is nice though. The cost is not good. There are many other choices of sets at around $14.99. For a little bit less, you can get the Batman v, Catwoman, Captain America, Ninjago, Star Wars Warrior set (the kind that gives you four minifigures and weapons), or a whole host of City sets. For a little bit more, you can get Wolverine's Chopper Showdown, Loki's Cosmic Cube, one of a whole host of Star Wars sets, or one of a whole host of City sets. The compatibility with other sets is also not good. I can see this in a City theme where the rock band is giving an open-air concert, but that's about it. It doesn't quite work with Star Wars, Superheroes, or Ninjago (three major themes), though I guess one could be creative about it (maybe have Batman and Superman be the singers instead? idk). Overall rating: Average. It's not bad, but it's not particularly good either.
  17. I agree. I am actually not a Turtles fan. In fact, I have not seen a single episode of any of the shows. However, I think the Turtles minifigures look great (especially the Turtles, though some of the villains look ok too) and I think I will pick a set up just to get a Turtle for my collection.
  18. The Bat looks better in the picture than I thought. Could you tell whether you could fit a minifigure inside the Tumbler? It looks like you could, but I haven't seen the actual model.
  19. Awesome!
  20. What are the price estimates for these sets?
  21. A Rhino minifig would be so awesome! I think they could make one like they did with the Gorilla-Suit Man and the Lizard-Suit Man in the minifigures collection.
  22. Marvel: Cyclops (XMen) Cable (XMen) - come on, with Deadpool, they definitely should make Cable! Rogue (XMen) Professor X (XMen) Storm (XMen) Sentinels (XMen) War Machine DC: Ra's al-Ghul Talia al-Ghul Batwoman/Oracle Nightwing The Flash Yeah, +Alfred the Butler, +Pepper Potts.
