    As I don't have any SBricks yet, I think I will rebuild my zorex into this one as I like the studless undercarriage better.... I think this is a better pairing with D3Ks 6x6 truck and will go great with the 42043 and 42042 when released!

    That is huge! I wouldnt be surprised if it doesn't give the upcoming MB Arocs a run for its money in the size stakes...

    I have a feeling both TLG and bricklink would sell out of 11L cylinders shortly after the set is released as everyone scrambles to update all their old cylinders with the new ones

    Almost 2800 pieces.i know it's guna b the biggest technic set by piece count, but isn't it getting close to the largest set ever made by lego or am I wrong there? I do hope the clamshell grab pieces are a decent size n quality, there's been a real need for this type of grab for a while n I hope they don't disappoint!

    Has the brickset report been published yet? I thought it was due at 930?

    In regards to the pricing, I've seen people band around the idea that 42043 will be around $200... Couple questions: 1: Is it reasonable to expect that it will be priced around £150-170 similar to the 8110 and 42009, and of course the Volvo loader..? 2: Is here any news on the price of the crane yet? 3: is the fire plane the third and final set of 2H set 2015 or are there others that haven't been leaked yet?

    The only issue I see with the new pneumatic Rams is that I like to double up the one that lifts the boom, and with it being a new piece the new longer Rams are guna be expensive to buy!

    I wouldn't say they were better overall just for lifting higher mass loads or for keeping booms upright etc they are the better choice. That said TLG did manage to combine pneumatics and LA's well in 42008 so who knows hopefully 42043 will see them combined just as well...we will just have to wait and see won't we..it's only what 9 days to Nuremburg now anyway then we will know once and for all

    I agree, as far as aesthetic purposes go, sure pneumatics are a better representation, but their lifting/pushing ability is some what lower than the LA's, not to mention the fact that they are a lot harder to control and a lot less precise than LAs. Also due to them relying on air compression, they are subject to leaks and the piston is prone to collapse under load, ref 8421 and how even with 4 rams, the crane boom began to sink almost as soon as it was elevated due to the weight of the boom...

    Guys, don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see pictures as well, based on the descriptions released so far, the new crane and MB truck sound awesome, but we seem to be missing the big picture here...the fact the sets aren't released for another SIX MONTHS AT LEAST!...so I'm sure we can wait two weeks for the pictures from Nuremburg Toy Fair can't we? Or am I wrong on that?

    Catching up on this post, I must say I'm impressed if we are actually guna get a truck with a clamshell grab crane and a new crawler crane... I foresee only one issue...if they are putting out such big sets in 1H2015.... What' are they guna be able to do in the 2H2015 that are going to be just as spectacular?

    The only MOC I've built is Jurgen's Zorex 220 PF excavator,, plus I've made a few modifications to the Unimog and a few others. My next project is to build D3Ks Modular truck with the side tip bed and the unimog crane but in a palfinger style

    I think there was a lego cuusoo project last year some time in regards to this... Maybe @D3k, Blakbird et al might be kind enough to post the link here for it, I'm not quite sure how to do it; sorry!
