  1. Where have the pirates gone? What does everyone think of this new look? God Bless, Nathan
  2. Classic Castle can't come back until old grey returns! Not to mention normally coloured knights and useful pieces... I personally am switching almost entirely to used lego from the good old days. Classic Castle is returning to my house (via BL) ;-). God Bless, Nathan
  3. Thanks Jipay! Working grand now X-D! God Bless, Nathan
  4. What a brilliant MOC! I love all the detail, the placement of the various bat vehicles and the ample use of dark grey. The custom computer and suit are really well done as well. I wish Lego had contracted you to design their model (in old grey ; )! God Bless, Nathan
  5. When I switch back to the standard skin the custom Lego smilies aren't available... Am I the only one having this problem? God Bless, Nathan

    Pirate's Crag

    Exactly MisterPhes! God Bless, Nathan
  7. Looks promising! I like the gratuitous violence best ; ) God Bless, Nathan
  8. I have never seen those but they look really good! God Bless, Nathan

    Pirate's Crag

When Brickshelf is back up you'll see what I mean... It is a more modern pirate hideaway but has a lot of the spirit of a lego pirate set.... God Bless, Nathan
  10. Hey all, Check out this brilliant expansion of the pirate theme over on Lugnet. God Bless, Nathan
  11. I know you know etc... X-D All I mean is that lets have more MOCs. In the time it takes to do a fig display and take pics you could easily build something worth sharing! God Bless, Nathan
  12. I would agree totally, although many old sets were also more historically accurate as a sort of nod to more interested consumers... God Bless, Nathan
  13. Hey and Welcome... The obvious faviourite theme is castle of course? Though I must admit I donn't get it from the name ;-) God Bless, Nathan
  14. Thanks! He lost the horse and is forever dragging the cart around now (the smile is only on the surface ;-)) Thanks MisterPhes! I'll do this in future... God Bless, Nathan
  15. What happened to your leg Phes? ;-) On the original pics: Evil Willy call me an old fashioned purist but it's not really a MOC without something being built. A fig display is nice (and we all have fun playing with them) but Lego really comes into its own when you build a setting/background.... On the French/Brit debate: I have never liked extrapolating real history into Lego... all my lego themes reside in my own 'universe'. My castles are not necessarily accurate or based on a middle age structure but rather my lego castle world... my pirates, by extension, have two rival teams of soldiers (blue/red) who represent two empires, though not the french and british. Venturing into the 'what did leog have in mind' debate: I think it is very significant that the blue soldiers came first... If they had begun with red (obviously more famousand british) than a following blue line would seem french. But the Lego order supports more continuity (all british...) in my mind anyway... 16. The one on the left is a space part that first (don't quote me) appeared in the Insectoid line, unless this is a modification, I'm not sure if the old one had a technique connection in the middle and I would have to hunt around to find my only one to confirm this... Good review of a product I would never consider (bley is worthless to me...), so it is nice to see what Lego is up to. God Bless, Nathan
  17. Where are our cc refugees when you need them?! Not you Scnicker ;-) God Bless, Nathan
  18. 1463 Treasure Cart Year: 1992 Elements: 21 Figs: 1 list Price: $2 (USD) those were the days... Lugnet score (out of 100): 64 Review #: 7 Resources: -Comments left on Lugnet -Building instructions and Set inventory from Peeron The Thoughts of the remarkable Norro: ...in under a word per brick... O.K. it's small and simple and has nothing particularly special to commend it... but it is still a great set, it has a good fig, a nice selection of parts, an extremely reasonable price point, and an all round 'happy factor' that Lego seem to have left behind these days... Guest Minifig Comments: Yes, that' me. I lost the horse in a game of poker and I'm not saying another word... It's So Great I Must Have It Now: -On Bricklink -Or some non-lego specific site no one has ever heard of...
  19. Thanks for the review... I'll probably look for this set when it reaches Ireland! God Bless, Nathan
  20. Nice review and comic! The sub looks great but I get the imprssion from the pics that everything else suffers from bley overload....What is the % roughly? Thanks and God Bless, Nathan
  21. I'm starting with sets I have so there won't be anything extra special for a while ;-) The comments are general but I'm glad you like the guest fig comments... God Bless, Nathan

    The Valour

I like the colour scheme and idea but I have to admit this is way too tall for me... The sails and mast are very well configured (I always struggle with this...) and the ship has a nice imposing prescence. Keep up the great work! God Bless, Nathan
  23. These days I scrap the bley, then other useless parts and am left with a few good parts... every single one of those 350 is useful to me... so I errat it as equivilant to a 750-1000 piece set of today. God Bless, Nathan
  24. I am going to call on all the visiting castle refugees to salute this great set and add some good comments... God Bless, Nathan
  25. In the spirit of the thread: Congratulations on your 10th EB post... X-D ;-) God Bless, Nathan
