I used Brickshelf for years, and it gets a lot of traffic. But I moved to my own site recently to have a permanent home for the links (which I control). My BS gallery clocked up over the 50k mark in visitor terms. My new site, NTbricks.com has gotten around 7k in it's first 2 months. A slight drop, but not to bad... And I can now finally share my set reviews and building techniques without having to worry about masses of links disappearing. My blog is also proving to be a refreshing outlet. It's not meant to be read daily, but it is a nice way for me to share my lego opinion's visually without flooding a Brickshelf equivalent. I do post on MOC pages, but generally only a teaser of each MOC. And I, for one, have always really hated Flickr's navigation system. I'm told it's brilliant, but I just don't seem to understand... I'm pretty sure one of the ninja sets shipped with this misprint. Though I can't remember where it was discussed. I defiantely have a few... God Bless, Nathan

Surely they'll be available on Lego.com, similarly to the Brickmaster CD pack? Surely... God Bless, Nathan

One of the all time great Lego sets... and yes the box addded greatly to the experience. I don't generally keep the packaging, but I have this one God Bless, Nathan

Welcome to my corner! I would agree about the classic vintage, though I might stretch it a little further. And I really don't like the fantasy element (which is now well beyond 'creeping' in). You'll see me complaining (in good humour) on this subject regularly, classic (historical light) castle is the way I build and what got me interested in Lego as opposed to action figures or other mere toys. You can see my 'legends' on my site, which show just how fanciful I get (not very)... Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

Two ideas stand out for the number of times I've toyed with them just to realized the scale is beyond me at the moment... A giant, overgrown temple for Jonny Thunder... And A massive, working, mine cart track for another explorer of my own... Not my usual I know... God Bless, Nathan

I would consider the post reviewing on EB. I'm just using my site for hosting... God Bless, Nathan

Updated the Blog with a few items of interest... And a new Norro's set review: 6017 King's Oarsmen... God Bless, Nathan

Congrats! I can only envy that record! God Bless, Nathan

Good to see some old fashioned Lego warfare. I like the scale, number of troops involved, and sheer imposing walls. Good work! God Bless, Nathan

Generally I find it hard to find a toy store that has all the sets at Lego's suggested price... God Bless, Nathan

I know you know... I just stuck that in for the benefit of other readers... Altough I have begun to wonder about building walls using the round plates... God Bless, Nathan

Cheers! I've consistently argued that Bionicle is not a part of 'system' no more, no less... As I'm clearly not an 'advanced' builder, and not 'trying' I won't comment... I was flabbergasted at your implications of 'shame' on myself.... not piece use. Of course anything *can* be used... but I don't build just to say I used x piece... I tend to design first, and then build. If a part helps me achieve an effect, it gets used. I don't scratch my head over parts I haven't used thinking it is not a creative model until I've successfully integrated them... Nor do I feel less creative or that I have not 'tried' hard enough. You have to reference across a selection of pieces. Slopes, tiles, and any non-brick pieces can make old grey much more expensive... Believe me... God Bless, Nathan

Never my favorite line... but 6718 Rain Dance Ridge was a well priced taster set, and in hindsight I wish I had stocked up on it for pieces. The Rapid River Village was the only eye catcher, and even then there wasn't that much there once you built it (in my opinion). That said I don't know what you could do with this line... It would be very hard to develop piece intensive playable sets... The tepees were great though! God Bless, Nathan

Fair point. Try buying old grey for 10 cents a brick these days... God Bless, Nathan

I was just about to explain to Grevious that I would let this lie, as I think the cultural gap (especially the Irish taste for banter) makes it hard to conduct a debate... Then I saw this, and it strikes me as exactly what the anti-Bionicle camp was accused of doing... I never questioned whether it or not it was manufactured by the Lego Group, just whether it was inherently a subset of the Lego system... I don't appreciate slurs on my creativity... I have never leveled insults at people who build exclusively with bionicle, just asserted that it is a different art form to my own. While I won't rest on past laurels, I like to think that I have a decent track record of MOCs. Could you link to some of your superior, and more broad minded works please? I'm always glad to learn... Nathan who is still slightly flabbergasted... 'shame'?!
