You really don't need as many filler bricks as you might think. Scaffolding (made of bricks) works very well. If you look at the landscape MOCs on my site they are very large (relatively) but not anywhere near solid inside. If you must build solid filler I recommend buying garage sale lego by the pound... 'misspoke' ; ) and there I thought only the Clintons did that... God Bless, Nathan

A lot of them haven't been active for a while (or they've escaped my notice) but there used to be quite a few Israelis in the lugnet days. http://news.lugnet.com/loc/il/ Try contacting some of them. I heard from a few people a year ago who I thought were long gone from the hobby, so it is always worth the effort. God Bless, Nathan

Ebay fails me... And how to trust Bricklink?
Norro replied to Artifex's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Bricklink exists in the real universe. Ebay is just outside of it, so for some reason you don't get what you pay for. Sometimes it is far better, sometimes it is far worse... My advice is pay low amounts on ebay to avoid disappointment. I normally pay such small amounts that even only getting 50% of what is described is a win for me. Bricklink, on the other hand, is expensive and more useful for getting exactly what you want (specific part or set). God Bless, Nathan -

Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List

Another one for the irrepressible (and generous) SuvieD! Thanks and God Bless, Nathan -
I love the context of the scene with all the sets. Thanks for including that shot! God Bless, Nathan

Nice. While I love the continuation of the cliffs and water, there are a few points where this feels a little dis-jointed or cluttered to me. Though I think that is the nature of building adjoining scenes and they should not be judged as stringently as they are individually (each of these components is individually excellent.) I look forward to seeing a single large MOC from you in the future. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

I have to agree. While I build almost exclusively in what I describe as 'real minifig scale' I still find myself wondering when exactly the average Lego 'builder' became a minifig collector. I'm now wondering if it coincided with the population explosion of online Lego enthusiasts? Did Lego change or did a new kind of fan arrive en mass? Personally I bought a set solely for a fig for the first time ever this year. I needed the torso for a MOC and the cost on bricklink was almost half of the set's cost. I figured the other bricks must be worth something. But I have to admit I felt almost 'dirty' afterwards. ; ) God Bless, Nathan

How good is that Black Falcon print? Ben Stein: "Anybody... Anybody..." Thanks and God Bless, Nathan

More or less my thoughts exactly, although I'll confess that my firsthand knowledge is limited to about 98... and I'd never go near FBTB (license people are scary ) God Bless, Nathan

Nice. I don't know about the grey (stone) intermingled with the wood at the top, but i definitely like the base. Some good work there! Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

For me the big difference is that if I'm searching for 10 of a given piece, peeron can assure me that they are somewhere in my possession (ji.e I know I have 12 based on the sets I own). Brickset, as far as I can tell, can't. God Bless, Nathan

Love it! The eerie concept, beautiful scene setting, and scenic nature of the build are all great. Definitely the type of MOC I enjoy studying. It is always refreshing to see a labour of love! Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

It's a bother, I finally broke down and bought my duplicate SES when it reached a price I couldn't refuse on ebay a while ago... Lovely display btw! God Bless, Nathan

A complaint about the new SW sets
Norro replied to ThatGuyWithTheBricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
And that's why I'm proudly SW free and criticize the creativity retarding/over-priced/unoriginal/etc license as much as I want to  God Bless, Nathan -
LEGO is the design medium for builders and artists, so why does it have to "the kids who never grew up"? Just correcting a typo ; ) God bless, Nathan

I thought the Toy Shop would be a one of. I'm actually quite pleased that they'll be continuing the line. God Bless, Nathan

Actually it ran for two years (and into a third if you count the old style rolling release availability). And the two distinct years featured 2 factions in each (in my eyes), sticking to Lego's normal MO... Might want to fact check a few elements if you are creating a database, especially with such reliable and easily accessible references already developed. God Bless, Nathan
