  1. Your fav too? I've always noticed this is the dark horse of the all time great set stakes. A lot of people loudly profess a ship, or classic space model, but 6066 has quite a following as well. Especially when you consider its relatively small size! God Bless, Nathan
  2. The best set Lego ever made (in my opinion, but you know it's true as well...)! Absolutely brilliant, loved every minute of it, even splurged for a couple boxes (most unlike me...) God Bless, Nathan
  3. Much as I am normally against all this power tripping, since stash is such a great guy I'll pass on my congrats! God Bless, Nathan
  4. I was going to mention my two black swords... but I wouldn't want Sinner's mind to wander further. God Bless, Nathan
  5. For the first time in ages I'm building, and in the beautiful old grey.... Granted she's a tiny wee thing, but I still had to share my excitement! God Bless, Nathan
  6. Actually these were displayed (the pics) by Lego at comic con, they were introduced as undeveloped themes, this one being the Napoleonic era... Discussion on CC... God Bless, Nathan
  7. Looking good. I love the sense of motion connecting these... God Bless, Nathan
  8. Thanks for sharing! Always a classic set, I'm surprised at some of your low ratings (the blacksmith fig's brown cape is exclusive to this set... and the design for the original price is brilliant...) Personally I always wanted this one, and am so thankful to finally have it... God Bless, Nathan
  9. Simple and sweet! Thanks for sharing! God Bless, Nathan
  10. Interesting shape, imposing height, and some lovely detail work... I like the surroundings and also the exterior supporting struts. The only thing I'm unsure of is whether it is a 'Falconish' fortification, I always imagine them as the simple and sturdy of the Lego world... God Bless (and don't mind me), Nathan
  11. Interesting, the modulex I have suffer from too tight a hold, I suspected that either the tolerances were more difficult to control, or it was assumed that they would not be disassembled... Personally I've never been able to make sand red 'work' in any context, but the modulex shade is nicer ; ) God Bless, Nathan
  12. 1989! It's all about the build... Granted the new figs are intriguing (a trifle over detailed for my tastes) but the sets can't even begin to compete. Not only do they fail miserably to leave you with parts to build from, most of them wreak of being 'built to budget' to quote brickzone... Not that I'm against them, I'm thrilled to have pirates back and it is by far Lego's best line at the moment, just still not 89 ; ) God Bless, Nathan O.K. The soldier impulse was a nice gesture...
  13. Very nice work! I've been meaning to experiment along these lines for a while, so thanks for proceeding me. I particularly love the shots featuring figs... Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan
  14. These are looking good lads, though I have to admit the Lego cheekbones come as a bit of a shock God Bless, Nathan
  15. It was around $3, don't quote me... I got a few of the missing lad (with a more useful hat) from an unwanted lego pile a while back. God Bless, Nathan
  16. Any but this one and I would be very interested... I just hate that dragon so much God Bless, Nathan
  17. Congrats, a great moment! God Bless, Nathan
  18. This one... Not a big issue ; ) God Bless, Nathan
  19. Dang, beaten to my comment again... God Bless, Nathan
  20. I'm just going to echo this assessment anyway, so I may as well quote it The drawbridge I just bought for two figs...(I'm still in shock) confirms the opinion... God Bless, Nathan
  21. I took this a while back and ended up with 99.?% 1) Pure: if Lego made it and you didn't cut/brasso/etc it, you're grand. Stickers on the 'wrong' piece, misprints, prototypes are all fine. Mangling isn't 2) I'm as pure as they come, although I don't disassembling figs and turntables etc... 3) I'm not a big fan of mixed MOCs. I don't rant, I just ignore them... God Bless, Nathan
  22. Just wanted to pay tribute to my Ebay mentor: Mr. Phes! Since he painstakingly taught me to use the search function a few years back my skills have gradually improved... Until just this month I was able to buy a Barnacle Bay 1729 -tragically missing one pirate- for $1.95... Thanks again! God Bless, Nathan
  23. I'll bring them along next time we meet if there is any interest... God Bless, Nathan
  24. All right pirate experts, I've recently gotten a hold of 4 of the ladybird pirate books (continuing the Will and Captain Roger story). Delightfully they were classed as 'non-fiction'... But are these the only 4? 1) Will and the Gold Chase 2) Captain Roger's Birthday 3) Adventure on Shark Island 4) The Royal Visit (the numbers on the spines) And yes I do have a use for them... God Bless, Nathan -------------------------------- Scans of the books can be downloaded here.
  25. I'd like to see the inventory. Looks promising though... God Bless, Nathan
