Just to add to my whinner acclaim: that really bothered me. I loved the colour and am still busy trying to source the odds and ends of it which were included in the bonus boxes... God Bless, Nathan

Thanks for the in depth review of a set miles out of my price range! It was great to see more of this legend than the miniature square in my magazine... God Bless, Nathan

Some nice work there. Instantly recognizable! Cheers for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

The lighthouse itself feels too modern to me but everything else is excellent. Your shore water combo is very well implemented. I'll even forgive you for possibly mixing greys... God Bless, Nathan

I'd say, unfortunate as it is, that they only ran so many copies and faced with the choice between supplying overpriced europe and underpriced USA (from their perspective) they knew where they would rather sell out... The cost of repackaging/stickering just made the choice clearer. Why they wouldn't run off a few more for the us now though is beyond me. Any company should be able to produce more of an item certain to sell if it wants too and the price is right... God Bless, Nathan

Does Red Beard get some advantage for the peg leg? A staggered start? Great vig! God Bless, Nathan

The minute I read that he was responsible for bley I was able to snap straight into protest mode. I'm sorry you others have to consider facts... God Bless, Nathan

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Norro replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This echos my sentiments so exactly that I'm going to brazenly copy your words God Bless, Nathan -
I thought this would have something to do with the UN Lego in Ireland is available, just prohibitively expensive. I would say NZ is the worst place I have ever personally lived for sourcing Lego.... God Bless, Nathan

Hello from the rural South-East of Ireland

Welcome! Great to have another Irishman about! While I'm on the subject we're trying to start up an Irish Lego group. Please drop by if you're interested... Irish Lego group... God Bless, Nathan -
Brilliant work! I like the intricate sluice fastenings. It is always good to see a moc with this much character. Though I have to admit to a desire to play putt putt on it... God Bless, Nathan

Absolutely beautiful! Great landscaping, details, angles, and all round curve appeal. A pleasure to view! Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

Wow! What a brilliant MOC! The fortress is practical and beautiful. The standards of fortification have really gone up of late in the pirate forum. I can't wait to see them all assailed by the new pirates! Keep up the great work and God Bless, Nathan

I'm getting all sentimental! A very nice review of a very nice set which took too long for me to get my hands on... God Bless, Nathan

Very nice! Even more motivation to get mine finished now... In a completely non-competitive fashion of course Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

I've actually been toying with a few ideas relating to the old comic book, I'll see when I get my pieces... God Bless, Nathan

Very impressive indeed. This has the imposing feel of all great MOCs, all the more so since it is a giant weapon of war. Some lovely details, but I was more taken with how well the model as a whole presented itself. A nice symetry and a well planed scale... God Bless, Nathan

Cheers Mr. Phes. I've been moving with work/study for the last few years. And had a particularly abortive change of plans for family reasons that took me offline for a while. Ideally my lego collection will catch up with me early next year and I'll enter a building frenzy. Until then I'm more of a talker ; ) God Bless, Nathan

Hey all, Here is the circular I just sent out. If you're interested in some local lego fun please drop by and suggest a venue: "Hello all, I've just arrived back from a summer working abroad, and am still finding the rain pleasantly refreshing, so before I get stuck back in completely let's resume talk about an Irish Lego Group... A little later than planned, we have a temporary forum (thanks to Ronald!) And can begin planning some kind of meet up. Please drop by and introduce yourself/suggest a convenient city. I'm still dreaming of some Irish lego based craic... http://www.briqs.nl/ilug/viewforum.php?f=2 All the best and God Bless, Nathan"

I still have some piratey plans. But am also still separated from my lego. Watch this (not literally) space... God Bless, Nathan

Cheers! Please don't count this as a second reply, on second thoughts... God Bless, Nathan

Funky, scary, and equipped with nice figs. Great work! God Bless and thanks for sharing! Nathan
-
I always thought that this set was under-rated. It contains a really interesting collection of parts, a decent fig, and introduces an odd theme in only one set. Very well designed for one of the 'not greats'. God Bless, Nathan
-
The best part of this set (assuming you have a few samurai and aren't an army builder) is the cool mini poster/brochure. I wish they still included those... God Bless, Nathan

I just wanted to congratulate all you pirate loyalists for keeping the faith through all those years. I mean castle was gone for a few, but... Also I look forward to how much more interest you'll be able to stimulate with a newly released line at your back! Here's to lego's second best theme Phes God Bless, Nathan
