  1. YES! This was something I botched and meant to fix but goofed up my planning. Once the photos were taken, they were the first things I noticed as well...along with the crooked roof top brick! Thanks for the comments, I appreciate them!
  2. HA!!!! That was terrible, but as I actually laughed, I'll let it go. Guess you gotta be older for that one! Remember all, if the picture says Confidential across it, then it shouldn't be shared. If it doesn't say that and someone shares it... I am curious if the designer for this Sandspeeder set will have anything to do with the TRON set? Hopefully.....no.
  3. More info and pics of the RAAV please!
  4. Are you saying per team? RoN had a map and planned everything out by ourselves. Or are you saying overall, like here is an overview of the city and here are some key points? I think that could be a mess as two or three people may build the same block/building and it will look totally different. Please elaborate my good man.
  5. When I worked in the stores, Taj Mahal was the most frequently asked for set that had been retired. I think this is a trial by TLG to see if the demand from the Lepin sets really is as big a threat as people say it is. LEGO may not be designed as an investment, but when the company intentionally produces less than the market demands and continues to make special 'limited' edition items which only cause people to come out of their holes to buy up all that they can (first hand experience here in a North American LBR store), it becomes just that. Yes, it's a toy, but people will do whatever they choose to do. For the time being, I'm going to sit back and see what happens; let's see who goes flying off the deep end into a frenzy!
  6. [GBW - CP4] Commonwealth of Southern Territories - Dawn is when the RoN attacks! Studica F4 Three major attacks took place in the mission to rescue the city of Carrefour. Of those attacks, the one focused on the Southeastern section of the city had multiple parts. An APC team moved into the city and was in need of support from a ground team. Another team was sent to the Embassy. There was also a river incursion to secure some docks and regain the ability to control the city. This is the story of the river team... Dawn is when the French and Indians attack. Today, it's when the RoN attacks! The lone soldier traces back and forth guarding the dock. He starts at one side and walks to the other, keeping a look out for any activity. As he walks, he looks around to make sure no one surprises him. Since there seems to be no activity, he starts singing a song to himself. "One, two, three, four, fiveEverybody in the car, so come on let's ride" "To the liquor store around the cornerThe boys say they want some gin and juiceBut I really don't wanna" "Beer bust, like I had last weekI must stay deep, 'cause talk is cheapI like Angela, Pamela, Sandra and Rita" Suddenly, the Mambo No. 5 fan is grabbed around the shoulder and chest, pulled backwards, and a single blade of serrated steel is plunged into his chest where his beating heart sits. He is dragged into the water and held there until his heart beats no more. Objective one complete, neutralize the guard(s) and secure the dock. Once the initial two soldiers secure the dock, the rest of the team follows. All of the team stores their diving gear from the river infiltration in an empty cargo box found on the dock... Oso speaks..."Two objectives remain men. We have an unknown number of men on the roof guarding this area... "...and we have two soldiers on an M2 fifty cal." "Let's move." The strike team splits into two four-man squads. Squad one will breach the building and make their way to the roof. Squad two will remain on the dock and maintain stealth. The sun continues to rise... The team's sniper will continue to observe the roof top in case someone is spotted and will provide feedback for the breacher team once they are about to hit the roof top. GO GO GO! No flashbangs neccesary, breach the first room...cover your six! The team progresses up the stairs and encounters absolutely zero resistance. Intel was damn good. This was an understaffed dock along the river and an excellent location to take. The sniper gives the go ahead, neither of the guards are looking back. As the two men unsheathe their blades, the only sound to be heard on the roof top is the hum of the HVAC units... The two soldiers engage. Silently, but forcefully, they hit both men at the same time and drop them together. The bodies are then silently dragged to the corner of the roof. Sniper chimes in on the comms and alerts the roof team to a guard atop the blue building! Commander Oso moves into position... "He's in my sights, I'm engaging." Clack-clack-clack. Clack-clack-clack. The metallic sound is so subtle and silent, it's unnoticeable. Both of the three shot bursts hit; three in the base of the neck, three in the back to the heart. The enemy drops. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Objective two is complete, one objective remains. Eliminate the two soldiers on the 50 cal. machine gun. Slowly...silently...carefully...two of the men approach the machine gun nest from the rear and line up their shots... Tick-tick-tick. Tick-tick-tick. The rounds go off in three shot bursts, the guards drop like sacks of potatoes. All three objectives complete. Commander Oso notices a subway station on the corner across from the machine gun nest. That would be a great way for the enemy to sneak around throughout the city...He decides to eliminate that option for the enemy. One of the men run over and throw some explosive down the stairs... The team prepares for the explosion. They cover all directions in case more of the enemy decide to show... Fire in the hole... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!! The explosion goes off and the subway station is buried and burnt! With the mission complete, the sniper removes a uniquely designed communication device recently developed by the brilliant minds of the RoN. This new technology hasn't been broken by the enemy yet so it proves quite useful. "Joint RoN Command, this is River Strike Team. Dock secure, six enemy KIA (killed in action), subway station located and destroyed. All men accounted for...mission a success. Over."
  7. Lemme chime in here really quick... Billiybob, I would love to know where, or who, gave you this information. As a former LEGO Brand Retail Employee (for quite a few years and I had a quality position during my tenure), North American stores (where I worked) were always run differently than the European stores. The powers that be then tried to make them all the same a few years back...but as you can see and from what I saw in my last few years there...they were not run the same. So, that being said...TLG SHOULD be handling all of the backorders that were made online, up to a certain date, first. Judging from what Fuppy stated, they are not. That's a customer service issue from two different sides of the pond. Maybe they are and people will be contacted Monday, only time will tell. But if it's not being handled this way...well, no surprise and that sucks. Yup, I said it sucks! Poor forecasting on a set that has been in demand for years, and terribly understocked release. Fuppy, try and be calm with the language. Although I am all for free speech on an adult fansite...please use some discretion. Billiybob, don't tell people what to do. I know you're trying to provide some courtesy to everyone...but unless people MAKE a stink about this, nothing will get changed. And if you don't ask, then you may not get one. Let us, the Moderators, tell people what to do. Thanks.
  8. My info came a few months ago...but I'm not one to start rumors unless I know for a fact. But yes, a "QUALITY" cantina is WAYYYYYYYY overdue. I think we need a kick ass Cantina set before another version of a Cloud City. Yup, I actually said that. Sorry, I'm sure some of you are cussing me out right now...Actually sorry, not sorry.
  9. So, as I travel back and forth to Minneapolis every few weeks for work, I'm curious if anyone wants to get together and meet up for dinner or something? Online is great, but meeting up in person is pretty cool too! I've met countless people from EB in the Chicagoland area, at conventions, those passing through the area, and others who are traveling. So, if anyone's got some free time early next week and wants to meet up for dinner either Monday or Tuesday, lemme know!
  10. Yes, please keep us in the loop! Good to see you around as well!
  11. For all of you salivating... I have heard rumors of a new Cantina as well...but not from a source inside the company. Of course, when we have a bit more confirmation, I'll post things in the 2018 NEWS topic. I honestly don't feel like going through every week though to see who was right, who was wrong, and who was full of shit. I got better things to do...like build and work!
  12. @GryffindorResistance and all... Honestly, I do not know that much about 2018. My sources within the company are drying up. Honestly, that's ok. I like the surprise. That being said, if any info trickles down my way, I'll be sure to post it for everyone else.
  13. Good day ladies and gentlemen, my name is Chuck Dizzle and I am the distinguished representative from the Commonwealth of Southern Territories. I would like to take this moment to thank all of the citizens of Carrefour for removing themselves from harms way. The CoAC have decided to stomp into an RoN city and attempt to wreak havoc. For those civilians that are still inside the city...we, the RoN, URGE you to please evacuate yourselves to the airport as quickly as possible! We will make every attempt to avoid any collateral damage...but a warzone is no place for innocent civilians. The RoN will continue with operation BUZZSAW, the unconditional blockade of the city of Carrefour. Get to the airport people, it's your safest bet at the moment. Hurry!
  14. Bold statement Mr. Larkin, but The Commonwealth of Southern Territories supports your motion to begin humanitarian relief to the city of Carrefour.
  15. HAHAHAHAHA! LoTR! This was just what I needed to see this morning!
  16. Oh wow! That paper shredder is great!
  17. Please! Do take pictures at your event when this is completed. Looking fantastic as it's in progress, can hardly wait for a finalized version.
  18. Really Balls? The war will do nothing good? We openly and sincerely offer to help your alliance's innocent citizens, and you think we will hamper that? We make a goodwill gesture towards all of the people of that city. Our city, by the way, which you have invaded... Your thinking so backwards that you probably think we would use innocents as human shields. That's just messed up Balls, that's just messed up! Again, the RoN will help any and all innocent civillians in getting out of the city, which has been attacked by CoAC forces. Please head to the Carrefour Airport as soon as possible with your passports and identification. Dizzle out!
  19. Good day ladies and gentlemen... My name is Chuck Dizzle, and I am the Brick of Nations distinguished representative from the Commonwealth of Southern Territories. Due to the recent activities on Studica, the Commonwealth of Southern Territories is urging ALL of it's citizens in the city of Carrefour to return to the CoST as soon as possible. The CoST has sent planes to the Carrefour airport and will begin evacuation as soon as these aircraft are on the ground. We ask that you bring 'only what you need to survive' (so if you show up with an industrial size hair dryer, it will not make the trip out). We also encourage all other civilians to remove themselves from the city of Carrefour as well, both RoN and CoAC citizens. These forthcoming battles may be fierce and we encourage you to be as safe as possible. CoST planes will remove CoST citizens along with citizens from other RoN allied nations. And yes, we will also remove citizens from CoAC allied nations. We have refugee camps designated within our borders until a timely exchange can be made with your home nation. Thank you.
  20. If I may address...at least with regards to what happened on our side (RoN)... In no way is the removal of players a penalty, at least not for the recent purge...maybe it did not come across that way, sorry. I just want people to be able to play, and if there are those that aren't participating (not just building, but at least reading messages and contributing to conversations), then I felt that they should be removed to make room for others who may be interested...and apparently a few others felt the same. AAR posts are only hidden, so that player can always come back. I get what you're saying, other things come up, I know this for a fact from BoBS. I made sure to participate in conversations, until the repeated snide comments from leadership, on our own team and in general, I stepped back to take a look at things and decided that it wasn't working out, and that I didn't feel I wanted to be part of that team any longer. Merc4Hire spoke up on his own and stated things weren't working out the way he had planned. If things turn for him, I welcome him back! Silvasio and KyloStabbedFirst have had well over three months (90 Days) to contribute to a conversation...but nothing. No builds, no communication, they didn't even read the PM. So we moved them for the time being to let others in who may be interested. It's tough with all of these build games going on right now. I've actually been approached about a prospective Sci-Fi / Steampunk building game in the near future. But with AG, BoBS, SW, TGBW, and GoH, those are a lot. And if you're involved in two or more...I GET IT, YOU'RE SUPER BUSY!!! I just ask players to be honest with their team and themselves. Hope that cleared up some things, at least why the RoN is a little bit lighter this week than last week?
  21. @J4JacobR, you pick yet?
  22. If @Phadeoutconfirms...then there ya go.
  23. Oh snap!!!!!!!!!
  24. Well, as RoN has pushed back CoAC into their territory, CoAC gets the honor of naming it. You guys wanna take a few days to come up with a name?
