  1. It was Rogue 2, Zev Senesca, not Wedge, who found Han & Luke after the Wampa encounter... Wedge was Rogue 3, and took down an AT-AT with the tow cable. I think both guys had orange markings on their speeders.
  2. I don't know that you can say Castle's using humans less & less… the skeletons & trolls (tho I think of the green lil dudes as orcs as many others do) were in one theme over a couple years, then it switched back to human antagonists (Green Dragons) in Kingdoms, and again humans (Dragons) in the current Castle theme. But if you know something about future Castle sets, please spill! With LOTR/Hobbit (sadly) winding down, I'd love a return to Fantasy to expand the troll & dwarf factions, give the CMF Elf Warrior a proper faction of his own (or at least an Elven one he can blend into), maybe add in some more factions like short-legged goblins, more evil dwarves, etc. …but back to CS, aliens would be great to see! Maybe some are good, the equivalent of the Toy Story greenies, and rely on the Classic Space forces to protect them from a more aggressive faction?
  3. I think Satine would've told Obi-Wan as she was dying that he had a daughter out there. She looks nothing like either Satine or Obi-Wan as well… nor is her helmet the same as Bo Katan's; Katan's has a much more defined "point" jutting down between the eyes (thus not even the same model). Even if they were identical, there's also one important point about Katan & Sabine: they are the only female Mandos we've seen in armor, as I recall (unless there were some others w/ Katan's group in the Ahsoka episode where Katan was introduced, or in the Maul eps, and I'm just forgetting) so the owl-eye helmets might just be a style preferred by Mando women in general. (A Lego version will likely be the same Mando helmet we've known for years, just with a fairly unique visor print) Lastly: Phil, Will. Jason, Mason. Luke, Duke. Han, Dan. Just because two people have a first name that sounds the same or is almost identical doesn't mean they're related at all… I would be very disappointed if Sabine turns out to be Bo's daughter or niece or whatever. The galaxy doesn't have to be as small as George Lucas tried to make it in the prequels! I didn't quote this bit, but I also think the Rebels sets will do well, especially once the series is up & running. I hope it becomes as big for TLG as TCW was! TCW faces aside, there were some great sets & figures in there.
  4. That's what I wound up doing with the Mirkwood Elf; I think I got a couple right away, then went back during a BOGO50% sale and grabbed several more (they had a ton of 'em!)
  5. One Target near me did that a few months ago; well, they put the King's Castle and Gold Getaway on clearance (I think they only carried those and Dragon Mountain from the line at the time). Both vanished incredibly quickly, which was a shock since the clearance was only about 30% off Gold Getaway, maybe 15% off King's Castle. Dragon Mountain? They jacked the price UP instead, jumping from $49.99 to $60.99, if I recall correctly.
  6. I haven't lately, because I'm foolish… I saw the Laketown Guard set a couple times, thought it seemed plentiful, and figured I'd get a couple later. Then they vanished. I did get the Legolas one w/ the blu-ray tho, and several Mirkwood Elves over a year ago.
  7. Consider this, then: the red versions of those might have been the only ones they had on-hand, rather than queueing up another run of them in black/brown/bley. Maybe not probable, but possible. In any case, I think Lego likes using multiple colors where they can, where they're hidden. And it's hardly "countless" pieces; there's, what, 40-ish non-black/brown/bley/dk-green (Ent!) pieces in the set? Several are technic pins & bits that are definitely hidden. Some may be for detailing parts of the interior or belong to the Ent (I haven't pored thru the instructions to check). There's only 6 colorful bricks* (the orange & yellow ones), a couple bright modified plates, a couple tiles… hardly worth getting upset over, when you can easily get them elsewhere or already have 'em in your spare-parts bin (like light-bley replacements for the yellow technic bush bits). Not every builder is buying Orthanc solely for an earth-tone parts-pack… just because you have no use for the red/yellow/orange technic & bricks doesn't mean everyone else will find them unusable for making MOCs. *sorry, 10…forgot the 4 green axle-hole bricks
  8. Of the licensed ones, yes, I think so. The Fantasy-era Trolls might be the first bigfigs entirely, far as I know; they debuted a couple years earlier.
  9. That's how I got my Harley Quinn! (plus a bunch of other stuff, so technically I spent a lot more than the cost of the cheapest complete Harley+shipping, but since I got more than I wanted, I think it counts as a 'savings') I don't have many Hoth sets, so I'm planning to get some pieces to make a probe droid. Hoth's not the only place any droids were sent, after all!
  10. Between Werewolves & Chima we've got loads of Big Bad Wolves… you can get 3 Piggy Suit Guys and three of these heads to make monstrous Three Little Pigs to turn the tables on the wolf!
  11. Sure it is. It can be infuriating trying to figure out if something is supposed to be dark bley or black in the instructions, and sometimes you don't wanna rummage around in a pile of black for the one specific black piece that you could've sworn was there but now can't seem to find (not everyone builds the same way!). Also, Lego is taking a cue from AFOLs anyway who often use the bright (or otherwise clashing) bricks to build up the interiors of thick castle walls, foundations for landscaping, etc. And it's pretty ridiculously easy to replace the colorful bits of Orthanc with a small, cheap Bricklink order, too
  12. I'm hoping for a mix, humans AND aliens in the 'enemy' faction. I loved the variety of the criminals in SPIII, if not the execution of many (I much prefer the CMF Space Alien to SPIII Squidman, for instance, as far as prints go). If it's Blacktron, the outfits would unify them; if it's space-pirates of another sort, maybe they have their own shared style or maybe the point is they don't share one, but are still clearly tied together by not wearing Classic Space suits
  13. Yes, please. I'll take a few of those, easily!
  14. Don't forget Gladiator! An Evil Viking might be nice to see, and I'd love a non-horned Viking Helm (one with 'eyes' similar to the BrickForge one would be great, provided it covers less of the face…tricky to do) on it or on a Viking Chieftain… a Viking Berserker might be a good place to get the Caveman hair/beard in one of the oranges or dark tan or something (I'd love to have it in a range of colors). While the technic gear-on-a-stick makes for a nice mace, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a proper one-piece accessory added to the mix (the 'flail' doesn't cut it for me as a mace, since it's on a chain) Others mentioned that I'd like to see as well: cheese wedge w/ printed cake (angel food, devil's food, red velvet, any & all!), the 1x2 tile w/ bacon print, lute, lantern, tankard, pilgrim/puritan hat, flat cap.
  15. Me, too…provided we get to see the pirates they expect to encounter!
  16. …with aliens. Rench needs some fellow non-human Blacktron buddies!
  17. Another major point against a potential Young Justice Season 3 is the showrunner, Greg Weisman, has been working on Star Wars: Rebels. I hated the reasoning supposedly behind the cancellation, that the toys didn't sell well enough (Mattel should've made better toys; the 6" figures were terrific, but the way they marketed them and the character/costume selections were atrocious) and/or that too many girls were watching (not sure if WB's confirmed either of those reasons, however). It's the best action/adventure DC show they've done in years. Ack! That reminded me of another potential reason: Cartoon Network execs not being keen on having too many action/adventure toons in their lineup, preferring comedy. Plastic Man's a goofy low-level thief-turned-superhero in most iterations of his character! Good idea on the legs, may have to try that myself. I grew up watching the Plastic Man cartoon in the early '80s… next game they should do Baby Plas as the preorder figure
  18. LOTR may have come first, but in the books the troll only gets a foot in the door, which is stabbed by Frodo, and that's it! An orc chieftain stabs Frodo revealing the mithril shirt. In the books, there is no "Rancor of LOTR" (maybe Shelob, in that she's in a dark place full of death, and Gollum is gleefully hoping Frodo will be consumed by her), but in the movie, it's definitely the way I put it
  19. I like Hulk a lot, tho I wish his head could turn (same w/ other bigfigs), but tops for me is the Rancor. That thing is beautiful. The Cave Troll--the Rancor of LOTR!--is second. I wish they were a bit more poseable, so maybe we could swap parts around more, but they're still pretty neat. I would've loved to have seen more trolls with LOTR sets (Black Gate, Minas Tirith, Grond). I really like the Wampa, too, but it's a shame they didn't give it swivel-wrists like most other bigfigs.
  20. The bags for the ones at SDCC itself could have the SDCC logo on them? That's all it really takes for most people. The ones who want to have the contents of the package itself, in this case the figures, be limited exclusives nobody else has are generally jerks anyway. Preview figures like Azog are probably the best way to go. Everybody wins.
  21. When I think of the Witch King, I think of the armored one... Twilight one is okay, but still leaves a massive, gaping hole in the collection. Getting another Ringwraith off BL would help, but that'd mean waiting for BrickForge or BrickWarrior or someone on Shapeways to make a helmet for him (if they haven't already).
  22. The Clone Wars retconned the look of the Z-95. Previously, various EU sources used the McQuarrie version as Headhunters, but no longer (tho TCW used the McQ art as reference, too, as evidenced by the engines). The life-size model there has an even shorter nose, and is most likely a newer model of X-wing from the 30 years between ROTJ and EpVII.
  23. Satine - Mandalorian leader, pacifist, ex-lover of Obi-Wan, now deceased Sabine - Mandalorian rebel, employs graffiti in her defiance of the Empire
  24. I just made my own, tho I don't have it handy to show a pic. I took a fairly generic fleshie head and some dark brown hair for Wedge, and the Planet pilot's head with the Wedge helmet. Haven't tried to update Biggs yet, but I've got the old minifig to pilfer the helmet from at least.
  25. ...a unique helm for Eowyn would be great, too, so we can have more variety with Rohirrim (where, as with orcs, variety is kinda the norm--unlike Gondor where a single helm will do nicely)
