The Lando from 2012's Desert Skiff is your best bet. -
What's DC Comics got to do with any of this?

I didn't realize it wasn't a new set! The only polys I've seen at Targets since January have been the Chima Acro-Fighter, Batman Tumbler, Princess Rapunzel, and the City Copter, I think, aside from the old TIEs. And here I thought it was brand-new for the summer series!
-
I picked up the Imperial Shuttle poly at Target the other day, glad to see an SW poly there besides leftover TIEs!

Ahh, I would love that Eowyn, especially the helmet. The sword would be fun, too. And Faramir! But why is Pippin behind Eowyn in that Witch-King pic?

<sigh> ...and in a couple years when asked about more Legends sets (or even Hasbro figures) some LFL/Disney rep--or a Lego or Hasbro rep at the behest of LFL--will say "no" to seeing more Legends material because "it's not popular anymore" or "isn't profitable for the licensees" despite the lack of profit and popularity simply being an internal moratorium on the subject matter.

I know, it was a pessimistic joke, the idea of one of our most-wanted missing figures being in a $12-19 book... ...Old Bilbo would be perfect for the book, tho!

...or that could be where we finally get a Gondor soldier

I'm leaning towards no Fett in the show, at least in season 1, tho the Hasbro set doesn't fill me with much hope in that regard. Filoni & Kinberg said they don't want to make the galaxy too small by having too many familiar faces all meeting the main characters; with R2 & 3PO presumably in the pilot, perhaps with Bail and/or Captain Antilles, that's already enough for awhile (and I'm still predicting a bit of teenage romantic tension or hostility between Ezra and Leia at SOME point). Even if bounty hunters are called in to go after Kanan's crew, there are probably tens of thousands (or, more likely, millions) of bounty hunters in the galaxy, so no reason we need to see any familiar ones anytime soon. If UCS Slave I happens, it'll be EpV-based, not Rebels. The first UCS Rebels ship we'll ever see, if any, will be the Ghost or the Inquisitor's TIE, but I expect those will never be more than longshots with so many movie ships they can still make, and more coming in the sequels.

Might you be referring to the Badgermole? Neat build! Love those big feet and the colors.

I don't see how "it's harder to sell a Mace set or a Vader Eta-2 when neither were in the movie" translates to "let's jack up the price!" It'd be harder to sell those sets at $40 each than at $25, especially if each has only two minifigs: the pilot and his droid. If it's essentially the same part count as 75038, and the same figure count judging by the original suggestion, it makes no sense to jack up the price $15 (unless you're TRU doing typical shady TRU things).
-
Those prices for the Vader starfighter and Mace's Eta-2 seem a bit high. Shouldn't they be closer to $24.99 like 75038? Especially with only the pilot and droid. ...I'd love to see those fighters, tho. They were two of my favorites from the Hasbro line!

Picked mine up at a local Lego store, no line, they had plenty. By the time I'd filled a large PAB cup and was debating on getting anything else, a couple guys breezed in and each grabbed a set, one of them telling a parent and then the cashier that the sets will be sold out by end of day. Nevertheless, there were still several on the shelf when I left. Now the long wait until my birthday to open it later this month!

Those spiky Moria orc helms would be so useful to flesh out orc armies of any sort... It'd be a great element to introduce (and could easily see a few uses in Mr Cube's assortment of orcs to offset the cost of creation) The blue light brick's also a nice touch. That Galadriel set as a whole sounds surprisingly nice for the smallest set of the wave! Terrific list, Mr Cube! Practically perfect in every way.

Why would the Sandcrawler be retiring soon? It's only been out for a couple months, I think. The Ewok Village has been around for a year and the DS for several years. My main beef with the DS is the faces of the figures; granted, it's several years old from before highlighted pupils were really prevalent, but Leia & the Luke faces are super-tiny and weird. Still, easy enough to replace those, and the old Luke hair pieces. Fun build, loads of scenes represented, and tons of minifigs. EDIT: fixed a typo -
Since the Research Institute is also set for release on the first, maybe they're expecting a big rush between the two Ideas sets (and any others that officially launch) and are delaying the update until normal business hours to better handle the load? I'm not sure what they usually do here, let alone overseas. It'll be there soon and hopefully won't sell out as fast as a MattyCollector Ram-Man

Maybe in the morning... the "sun is up" morning, not "it's just after midnight so it's technically August now" morning

Kinda hard for folks that aren't just generally big SW fans to care for REBELS yet, as the series hasn't even premiered
-
There's no reason to report them on eBay. Despite the category they're listed under, they're not DESCRIBED as official Lego products. Take the lumps as a learning experience, not the impetus for some crusade that might result in fans no longer having access to similar knock-offs (like the aforementioned SDCC exclusives, which is better than paying hundreds for a well-known character). If nothing else, these SW "clones" are a cheap way to get a bunch of...well, clones, to fill out scenes, and extra accessories. The quality can be all over the place, but that's the risk you take.

I hit one Target and one TRU today (Burbank, CA); only the latter had the new sets. Managed it resist temptation to nab the Phantom (birthday coming up, no idea which set or sets my wife is getting me)
-
I don't have the set yet, but it is rather disappointing isn't it? Maybe send a suggestion to BrickArms/BrickForge/BrickWarriors/etc to see if they can take a crack at it? "Two stormie guns joined by a saber hilt" is easy for anyone to make at home, but looks pretty silly.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Venkefedo replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
I WAS about to sign up for this guild, but I think the scope of that teaser just scared me away... ...okay, not really. Sign-up's a-coming soon. -
Good point about the vehicles; hadn't considered that! Castle definitely doesn't need that kinda thing. Carriages, wagons, carts, the odd non-powered catapult and ballista are fine... even in a magical faux-Warcraft world I think they're better off avoiding motorized vehicles (save it for a steampunk theme! Then people can take the clockwork & steam-powered rides from THAT theme and Gnome/Goblin them up into WoW-ish stuff for their Castle heroes & villains if they really want) Edit: Kingdoms had a second wave, didn't it? Fantasy, too, had at least a couple waves.

I didn't think the LAAT looked particularly Star Wars when it debuted... I still think it sticks out too much, more than I ever thought the N-1 starfighter ever did. The Wookiee gunship looks to share a lot with the LAAT; I've grown to accept the one gunship, so it's not much of a bigger leap to be cool with this one... Especially with another Kanan and Wookiees!

I'd still kinda like the next Castle theme to be either a return/reboot of Fantasy or--somewhat related to that--actually turning Heroica from a board game into a theme with named characters akin to Ninjago, Chima, Ultra Agents, Galaxy Squad, etc. I know we got a Barbarian in the CMF line, but a Thief, Ranger, Druid, Mage, etc could be a lot of fun to see, too. Still, I'd love any Castle theme that gave us more than knights/generic troops, a wizard, and royalty. More peasants, more races, more adventurers/heroes could be a lot of fun and open up the theme to different builds (instead of another King's Castle, why not a ruined fortress with a few mystical/evil guardians and some valuable/magical treasure, with a couple heroes seeking it out?)
