I told you it could happen! Shoot at a target a hundred times & you're bound to hit it (even by accident) at least once ;) Life is Good.

Interesting... You failed to mention the 6054 Forestmens Hideout... Though the smallest of the above mentioned sets, I believe it is better than them all... Thus my lack of a vote... as of yet ;) Life is Good.

Heh? That's what I say! Ed is stealing my lines... I'll have to go away and come back with something much more original now... My sinister plan to phase you out is almost complete ;)

I don't know why it is down (or has been, for the past week or so). I heard a rumor (on another site) that it may be their server or something. Hopefully they get it fixed soon. Life is Good.

You guys (and gals?) are doing great. I love the fact that admins & mods are involved in posts throughout the forum (as opposed to just being a Police force like other forums *cough* fbtb *cough*). That may or may not be a result of the people actually posting in here (less prone to bashing others, 'hurt' feelings, immature, etc.), but I think you admins & mods are a major contributor to keeping things going here, which is a wonderful thing ;) . I'll have to do some thinking concerning potential changes that may benefit the forum here in the future, but for now I believe you all are doing great! Life is G-o-o-d.

I voted for the Cross Bone Clipper, just for you mister_phes ;) It is the most colorful one of the bunch... if you are into that sort of thing... Life is Good.

True, the system does work sometimes... It is just disheartening to see people think $$$ first & a person's health second... I am not ashamed to be associated with this country, just with people thta have that mentality ;) Life is Good.

Just because it is rarer, doesn't mean it looks any better ;) to me anyways... Although I have to admit that I have the Clipper, but not the Runner (yet, that is ;) )

I had bought a BRICK set a few years ago, and I can attest to the fact that they are far inferior to LEGO in every way. Aside from the colors being completely different, the bricks bend & break easily... Although, a company called "best-lock" won a lawsuit about a year and a half ago over LEGO, allowing them to sell their 'construction sets' (TLC is still fighting it), but here are a good examples of Best-Lock items up on e-Bay right now... Phony MegaBlocks Phony LEGO Pirate Ship Phony LEGO Pirate ship #2 Due to the Best-Lock win (so far) over TLC, it may be a sign that other clone brands will be able to flood the market with products as well (which may cause our beloved LEGO to lose profits). Although Best-Lock is typically selling its own original items, here's a link to a product catalog: Best-Lock Construction Toys I bought one of these sets a while back, and they are NOT the same quality of LEGO, and the colors do not match LEGO either, so don't get your hopes up... but they do produce Military sets, which seems to be their biggest sellers... probably why they are still around today ;) Life is Good.

People in this country are just sue-happy... I am sometimes ashamed to be associated with them :/ Life is Good.

It is a scam, like I said, these companies are trying to dupe people into believing that their blocks are really LEGO... The name of their blocks does not seem important, because it changes quite frequently (probably a way of avoiding lawsuits). I saw Coko, Blocks, Brick, Blocko, LOGO, and others while i was stationed in South Korea for a year alone. All had the same packaging, consisting of stolen pics from original LEGO sets, but just the name was different... they all appeared to have the same lack of quality and mismatching colors... Life is Good.

Price seems a tad steep to me... when one can get the 6268 Renegade Runner cheaper than that on bricklink (between $40-50 used)... Which is a much better smaller-sized Pirate ship, in my opinion... Life is Good.

I say "good riddance to bad rubbish"... The fact that many of these rip-off brands design their packaging to completely reflect LEGO means they are trying to make money off the LEGO brand name, or they are trying to trick people into believing they are truly LEGO... They had these types in South Korea (I was stationed there), where a pic on the box was actually a pic that is copyrighted by TLC, but when the box is opened, it reveals pieces that are not pictured, a variety of neon-looking colors, & no colors that match the pic on the box... There is no market for that rubbish... Life is Good.

To quote Mr. Lucas "I have to tell a story. I'm not making these, oddly enough, to be giant, successful blockbusters. I'm making them because I'm telling a story, and I have to tell the story I intended." Interesting, because everything else he has done so far (with these movies) he has done in an effort to make loads of money... argh, it makes me so angry sometimes... If you are going to be a businessman looking for more avenues of profit, don't lie and/or make excuses for it, be a man George... remember when you clearly stated that the Original Trilogy would NEVER come to DVD? Yea, I thought so George... I am actually trying to remain pessimistic about the upcoming film for now. I am doing this because I had been so optimistic about the previous two, which led to some great disappointments... Hopefully it is great, and I love it. But I am not going to set myself up again. I still love LEGO. Life is Good.

Well, I know I'm cool... the voices in my head tell me so... all eight of them... :') Life is Good.

yeah... the admins on other forums do have a tendency to show they're in control ... we're also more relaxed... remember the petition against remakes/rehashed sets, a while ago? you could clearly see a difference in language between our replies and at fbtb, for instance... it seems we're all seeing this forum as fun, contrary to other forums where people easily loose their temper... one of the reasons probably is the limited number of people posting on a daily basis... fewer people, posting more, gives a stronger community, i guess ... Yes! That is why I have frequented fbtb less and less. People are too sensitive sometimes... Thus far, I have been impressed greatly by this forum, you guys are great ;) Life is Good.

Interesting.... my fellow TIE Army Pilot is exactly 23 days older than I am :oo ... I look forward to joining you in the ranks of the big 3-0...in 23 days ;) Life is Good.
