  1. I'd like to hear an interview with the designer about some of the designs here. I feel like the designer really hit the FUN button here. I've always had a thing for Classic Space and Classic Castle, I never thought they'd be blended into something so interesting. An aside: I had a mini Lego renaissance about seven years ago, I was enjoying the excellent submarine theme then. At that time I was about to get my first Castle set in 15 yrs (7079). Things didn't go well that year. This new line is coming during much better times for me. Looking forward to 2016 Castle! That's craziness right there lol! Is that a unicorn?...attached to his back? OK I get it the Unicorn is not included.
  2. I should think that having a representative... wait a designer of Lego personally visit us and weigh in is going above and beyond the call of duty. Forums typically are over negative in nature, so, to jump at the chance to disagree with someone from our favorite company when they decide to bravely Wade into the forum waters is a good way to keep them from returning. They don't have to be here our opinions are extreme and not as important as you might think when their main market is children. So yeah go ahead disagree and show contempt when designers come around, they might not check in on us later.
  3. I think it's really presumptive of people to go on a diatribe when members of Lego come to visit us. Kind of like telling the President you don't like his policies when he visits your town in person.
  4. Wow. So per character polybags wierd.
  5. has anyone seen the ultimate versions? Lego's not going to go with those for themes.
  6. 100% correct sir the blue walls and the offset line up as well But that means it leaves the library when taking a trip.
  7. It seems no one took a pic of that left side, I imagine there's a kitchen there, since there's a robo chef and no other place for a kitchen. Also curious as to how that Library fits... BTW the turrets in the rear are controlled by the steering Wheels from inside the turret. The right front turret has a hologram. The front left turret has a prison. In the rear of the castle appears to be two couches and a hologram on a table... Just my guess. It could use a bed :)
  8. can you show us how that was built kudos for figuring it out!
  9. Any good pics of the back of Fortrex
  10. A set that has a Castle, knights, trebuchets, a jester, a king and a Queen is Castle... even with the extra magical tech. Its in the same vein as Thundercats -it does not have to make sense. If it's not Castle, what is it? Also I don't think this is the year to break out a traditional Castle theme, I have doubts that apart from hardcore fans that it fly off the shelves. Lego has to continue to fight for the attention of the younger audience, a traditional Castle theme might disappear behind all the noise. I'm sure lego times these things carefully. These sets will capture the imagination of younger audience and some of us older fans too.
  11. Does anyone know how the library connects with Fortrex.... I don't see how Spotted disk Shooter underneath the drawbridge
  12. Dear Lego despite Lego being about creativity I hereby apologize for those of us who aren't creative. All of us would like Lego to continue our favorite lines. I'm in the BlackTron subset, but things have to stay fresh, and I see where Lego sneeks some of our themes into others and I'm fine with that. Lego being what it is means you can make your own theme, which I have also done. No need to go around in a funk because they didn't make exactly what YOU wanted. These sets are very imaginative, attractive, eye-catching, and fun. I for one am very excited with these. I think these will sell well. Looks like a ship, I see a seat and controls.
  13. Merlok is probably a computer program.
  14. The ultimate sets come with normal sized minifigures?
  15. That's a mini Fortrex, I get it now.
  16. What is that first vehicle? Could be a nice library inside....or a nice prison
  17. The cycle and the turret look nice. Those Red shirts can man the turrets in Fortrex while our heroes do the exciting stuff.
  18. The King's Mech is the best Lego mech I've seen. He's got a small vehicle on his left arm. Fortrex could be like a big Mech Hanger now! The Prison Tower is a great little set for folks who want a bit of Fortrex but don't have $100 looks great, I'd like to put that in Fortrex somehow. But...I think its made so you can get multiples and make a long perimeter wall. Clay's Cruiser Looks sooo much better now, I really like the little robo horses that the villian sets come with. those look excellent. Ahhhhh hah, There are three different colored normal sized robo horses. How sneeky, another thing to want to collect! Ahhh hah #2 The demon monster has a disc shooter in his hammer, and his whole chest mouth opens to eat figures!
  19. LOTR is Castle in the same way that Starwars is Space. Nexo is like both classic Space mixed with Classic Castle. Also, take off all the awesome spacy details and you still have a beautiful Castle. Loosen up Lego is all about imagination.
  20. I think the hover horse that comes with the monster pod racer looks great too. Other than Fortrex and that horse, I feel kind of meh. I like the new parts and the new good guys though. But that castle puts everything else to shame. Such a nice mix of Castle and Space.
  21. honestly the Castle is the best part of these. I've never wanted a big set so much!
  22. its AWESOME must have that castle!
  23. Not from europe, but really excited about rolling castle!
  24. If anyone has pics of the moving castle please share with me, I've seen the other pics but the moving castle seems essential.
  25. I find this very imaginative. Ever since the Lego movie I've noticed the sets having a more imaginative... not so formulaic feel. Hard to describe, but I like the direction. Picture the castle set from the movie sets for example.
