Almost like why are people piling on to woes with *this* set … what could POSSIBLY be the reason?
-
Maybe start another thread to have your discussion @ondra ?

This set is quite important to a lot of people. You’re not one of them.

This isn’t a thread about Mr Bean.

Plenty people know the show. It’s massive on Netflix and international. It was never designed or intended to be a flagship or best-seller set. You are clearly not the target audience, though.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Yep, my 10th December order just shipped. -
The people packs did introduce new animals - new Alsatian print - new dolphin mould (and lobster) - new eagle That said, I think they have given up on the idea of those sets, and that this will be something different. Clearly there is a move across themes to put multiple animals into sets with animals, I would expect it to be a mix of a few minifigs and a few animals. But I am also trying not to get my hopes up, since we got so many new critters lately!

I guess I am also taking my cue from the fact that announced Duplo sets seem to be featuring animals from different geographic regions. Up til now, Asian and South American animals have been much better represented in Friends & Duplo than City. So there’s some catching up to do. Also, Encanto is a big hit with the kids (and me).

Well the plant stuff is clearly a fun play feature. I think the cows deserve dual moulding to represent the ‘fleshy’ parts (muzzle & udders) which tend to be in the same colour but also I imagine would be difficult to print. -
Right? We need a guessing game on that one. I’m thinking EITHER one that makes use of the new toucan and the existing big cats, maybe with Jaguar / South American theme, OR something using the existing otter mould and more based on Northern/temperate wildlife like the deer

At this point, the white rabbit is a bit of a joke! Barn set animals sound amazing. -
It likely will have different printing at least. It might even be a new dual mould (can see that making sense for the cow’s pink nose and pink udders) They will be, which is awesome. And definitely a trend, since we just got the foal, and kittens and baby croc, lions and elephant. This is a great sounding roster of animals though. Giving us and the kids what we all want! I think three new moulds and a revisited cow is already a LOT, but I’m still also hopeful about a rooster and a sheepdog.

It has leaked on Instagram. Seems a very jumbled silly set, with lots of random parts like plants and leaves! -
WHSmiths used to be early adopters of new CMF series, but that seems to either be hit & miss or no longer happening

Orders always take longer over the December / January period - even without extra pressures of pandemic or changing the P&B platform -

Agreed. And likely one or two farm tie in poly bags on the Lego City magazines
