  1. I know it is a typo, or a glitch in your translation software (and you know I’m not picking on you DBL) - but I actually lolled at the idea of a ‘mumsnet’ park? Sounds like the most terrifying theme park ever from what I’ve seen of the MumsNet site!
  2. Really nice! Love this, would make a great set. Best of luck getting the supporters 🦈
  3. I’m already nervous about what that will look like 😂
  4. Agreed. dunno what the pricing situation is everywhere else, but at least here in the U.K. there have already been some pieces which have updated and changed prices (in both directions!) several times since the site ‘switched’.
  5. Isn’t it bizarre when you have DINOSAURS to utilise that we feel the need to mess about with them, like they’re not awesome enough ?
  6. This is offensive, and unnecessary. The ‘alphabet letters’ jibe is just another way of delegitimising the concerns of anyone identifying as LGBTQ+ ‘The flag’ and indeed many laws, have also changed in my lifetime, but that’s not a reason to mock the changes, or the people they represent.
  7. Just sharing that Argos currently has a bunch of nice chonky discounts on some lego sets - including 1/3 off the Bonsai and Flower Bouquet, 25% off the current Batman Batcave, and 20% off the Ideas Winnie the Pooh
  8. Yeah I would also assume they deliberately made sure to have lots of them so they didn’t run out. When I got mine in store it rung up as £19.99 value on the till (before obviously being discounted)
  9. I found it VERY glitchy when the new site came in. Kept sending me to Germany! Seems to be sorted now for us…
  10. Genuinely intrigued that your experience of this is so different to my own. Is it a standard ‘Americas’-wide issue then?
  11. Literally nothing is necessary to post here. But it’s an issue with a live Lego licensed theme. It’s not getting better. And, like it or not, Lego’s continued support of the theme gives social licence to the problematic author/owner of the ‘brand’. Again, this doesn’t help the people who can’t just disagree and ignore, many of whom have explained at length, and with a lot more dignity than I could, what I means to them here, and in other forums. When the issue is in national newspapers and flooding social media, it’s not ignorable. When it’s creating a toxic environment leaving LGBTQ+ people feeling vulnerable, just saying ‘boycott and move on’ doesn’t cut it. We need to hear the people affected by this. I’m pretty sure people do, just that they wouldn’t post about it here, as it’s not Lego relevant. I mean, for my own part I avoid lots of brands, some specific products and products from some countries for a variety of reasons - but they don’t have Lego themes so I don’t mention them here.
  12. Oh my. Yes. Possibly my favourite all time set, but would love to see this sort of set / theme revisited with the parts we have now.
  13. Thanks @Aanchir - really value your experience on this, and appreciate it’s not easy to engage with. Really hope that those who dismiss this with the sort of ‘just ignore and don’t buy them then’ arguments read and hear the experience of those on the sharp end of this. It’s not an ‘equal’ argument when your rights, safety & very existence are at stake. And to those for who this isn’t a big deal, please listen to the folk for whom it really is when they tell you why.
  14. This is such a great little set - love that it’s packed full of foliage parts, as well as the chimps. Also always good to see more older representation in fleshie figures. Lastly I think it s a nice touch that the Jane minifigure uses the same part for hair as the CMF series 5 zookeeper- not least because I’m sure many of us thought of that figure as a younger Jane Goodall anyway! 🐵🐵🐵
  15. Great if you can make that distinction. Lots of people can’t. And as has been already said she is *increasingly* dangerous and vociferous on this.
  16. Just checked in on the U.K. site at available animals -and seem to have been a whole bunch of price changes - in all directions. Brown printed owl has jumped up in price, while the eagle and male lions have gone back down, for example.
  17. Have you tried Google? https://www.janegoodall.org.uk/
  18. Thanks. Value your perspective on this, as ever. I do think there’s a difference between a ‘historic’ creator or artist, and one who is not only still around, but legit getting worse and ever more problematic. I don’t have the answer, but I know she makes many peoples’ daily lives incessantly miserable and anguished, and that’s not okay. It’s also not offset by those who are happy fans. The ‘debate’ here is not a fair one, and silence is complicity. Here in Scotland (and the wider U.K.) the political ‘debate’ is utterly horrible and toxic for all LGBTQ+ folks, and anyone who is an ally. The same tropes I grew up with as anti-gay are now being used against trans people, and the safety of the whole LGBTQ+ community is suffering. The idea that it’s not well-known or relevant to many people is also bunk as there are almost daily articles online, in mainstream media print, and toxic pile-ons on social media. Heck, did people see the way the U.K. media treated Emma Watson this week for daring to make a coded clap-back during an awards speech? I have stopped buying HP stuff, either for me or as gifts, and I really struggle with the notion that this shouldn’t keep being brought up … yes it should, as long as the behaviour continues and the toxic fire is being stoked. Lastly, I just don’t think a head-in-sand approach by Lego is consistent or good enough given their stated commitments to LGBTQ+ representation and inclusion. Something has to change.
  19. I mean, I’d rather have the ability to articulate the horse than the barding, I guess. And as we know the goat was evidently one of the first casualties - being such a wussy mould
  20. Tsk. He was just being dramatic - let him have that ;) Remind me - has horse armour or whatever existed for the modern horse mould?
  21. Scottish squirrels can take on French squirrels any day 😘
  22. Sheesh, you guys are so *restrained* with your orders. I’m much more greedy with new animals. Still, good to know that my squirrel army will be unchallenged 😜
  23. Guess it depends what you’ve been eating …
