    Urgh. Correction. 60504 With the small Friends set featuring the pink and blue axolotls, with a small vehicle and habitat build, it’s almost as if Friends has replaced City in producing the small-yet-animal-heavy sets

    This ^ Seems to be another deliberate attempt to get people to buy all the Dreamzz sets by having a different colour beastie in almost every set …. The tan dog with vest gets a recoloured vest in one set. Unless I dreamt that. Coast Guard boat 60804 has the dog, with its orange coastguard vest

    Agreed. Though the quality of figures and some accessories has increased in recent years, so there is some offset. But it’s much more common now in my experience to have whole licenced series that just don’t appeal (though I appreciate they appeal to others).

    Not far off it! Some replays happen most calendars, but Lego for sure isn’t releasing new animals quickly enough (and don’t start me on the B&P prices!). Have raided the vaults for some this year though. Plus am dividing it into six specific ‘zones’, with four things from each.

    I’m looking forward to some wonderful things, as usual, from this. I’ve been busy putting together my Lego animal advents for my nephews, so that kicks off tomorrow too! And yes, there is a smowl.

    To me those both look like the same mould, but in different colours. Odd-looking thing, but definitely has fox similarities. Wonder if it’s an entirely fantasy thing or supposed to be something like a raccoon or tanuki?

    There were recolours for puppy, small bird & rat. Rat wasn’t a new mould.

    That’s awesome. in Shetland they call them ‘Tammy Nories’ which is something like ‘foolish looking man’. and again - we NEEDS a Lego puffin, moulded and printed like they did the toucan!

    Hmmm kinda okay with D&D of all the possible licensed themes. The first series was pretty generous with useful new parts, and recoloured animals. I guess the test is whether it’s very repetitive. I’m not familiar with the D&D world, so not sure how much else they can offer.

    It’s just biological fact. Falcons are in the same family as parrots, and only very distant cousins to other raptors 🤷🏽‍♂️

    That seems like slightly strange phrasing to me. May have lost something in translation. I assume it’s either a recolour of the newish falcon, or a plain colour of the existing parrot. Falcons are just ‘tactical assault parrots’ though, so I can see a new mould being dual purpose, as the old one was. Like @roebuck I’d be sceptical at Ninjago introducing a new animal mould, for sure. Would be really interesting if they stuck with the existing parrot and gave it printing for the first time - but honestly, I think they’d go with a new mould for that, given it’s recessed eyes.

Them revisiting the Muppets with a festively scheduled Muppets Christmas Carol CMF Scrooge Belle Kermit as Bob Cratchett Piggy as Mrs Cratchett Robin as Tiny Tim Fozzie as Fozziwig Gonzo as Dickens With Rizzo as the rat (not the lamp!) accessory The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present & Future Statler and Waldorf as the ghosts of the Marley Brothers - that’d be Christmas sorted for everyone!
