AS said as before, all colectable gears/things, generate a secondary market and then investors come in to the game. I think is inherent, but sometimes is a little odd. i look for some old set what i have in my childhood on bricklink, and there is a lot of them, not a lot expensive, just the price of similar set have today, that´s Okay (not ok-ey) for me and i dont mind if they are used....the problem is with the new sealed bla bla bla.....why a old set is 100 bucks (for example) if you can find the pieces for 20 bucks¿?, or even worst (and i think where some investors make money), the minifigs!!!!!!!!!!!, look around for some prieces of minifigs!!!!!! thats crazy, if you what magneto,wolverine and deadpool, you got in one set (30 bucks more or less if i dont remenber bad) and buying by itselfs....puffff near 50 bucks son i dont get the point...30 bucks for a hulk mini what is in a set of 60 (with other minifigs and pieces....) The things value is what people are ready to paid, i can build a car and sell it for 20 bucks, if some one paid it, next car i build i can sell it for 20 or 25, an investor buy it for 20 and try to sell it for 30, other investor buy it, resell for 40....and the prices stop when no one want to pay that. Would be nice if lego re edited sets (even if it done "special editions" vintage collection" and rise the price a bit)....or have a market kind "pick a brick" but more big and huge.

Ty pals!, the gasser was fun to buid but a pain in the *** XD. The hearse, start at a typical all black hot rod, but when i put the chains...i got the color scheme and all the look :P, and when the movie minifigs came out..that sweet corset make the rest XD XD XD

<p>Hi all, after a couple years in this forum, this is my first non contest entry...(i´m lazy to build, so i need some motivation XD) When i was a kid i like to make cars with lego, now i´m back on lego but i only make vignettes, so it´s time to make some cars: "Hearse" hot-rod, classic hot rod and hot chick :P This is one of fun cars where the minifig looks at the roof, but the style is everything ;) Hearse hot rod por Casti 616, en Flickr Tow truck rat-rod, heavy and big grey machine. Don´t look to much t othe exaust pipes, they are different (a mistake in bricklink order), anyway: suicide doors!!!!!!!!!!!! Two friends of mine tell me today about that contest!!!!!!, is funny, the prices is interesting (if you are single of course....), but is in her house, im living in spain so the price doesn´t cost the travel price XD XD XD XD. the only good thing of this, is some people stop looking afols like "peter pan guys" playing with minifigs etc etc...the bad thing is some of them look as some kind of perberts XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD Anyway, a little offtopic, and hope no child is reading this...i see a few porn/erotic/adult mocs and creations ( some of them very funny!!!!) and i make 2 just for fun, but i wonder if they are any place (not only flickr or similar) to put "adult" mocs, i belive this forum can´t be the place (none of mine are explicit...well, lego mocs can hardly be explicit XD) but is a fun theme to make mocs, but hard to share....anyone knows a forum, page, anything for "adult kind" mocs??? dr_spock that´s joke makes me rofl XD XD XD XD

Hi! i´m a little newbie to MOCing too (ok, i been here for contest, and made some moc vignettes, just for fun, but no the quantity i want, i´m a little lazy XD) That´s my history, hope it help you. I have been out of Lego world a lot of years, but a few years ago, my nephews get some lego sets, and i started to searching lego things on the web, i found this site, and a lot of pics of mocs and vignettes. I search my old lego pieces, but a lot of of them are lost...and others are too dirty/used, and i barely make anything. So i buy a lot of pieces of used lego on ebay...not happy with the result, some interesting and new bricks, but i dont have 4 sames wheels for example XD. So i star to buy lego sets, 3 on 1 creator sets, some buckets....now i buy some cheap sets only for the bricks and the minis 8also a star to buy a lot of minifigs series XD), and some times i buy in lego store pick a brick,and when i need a specific brick or specific colour i buy it in bricklink (no problems so far, only some yellowish light gray pieces....when i buy used -more cheap- bricks). that´s my bricks sources, i put them in boxes and bags, sorting by some types (round plantes and curved slopes in one...wheels in other...) but sorting them is a lot personal thing imo. but is nice to have the bricks in order, not a lot of them and finde the brick you want in a pile (you can spent more time finding the piece than bulding your moc!!!). the creative process, its very personal too, last month i couple of friends get marriage, she likes archery, so i make a little vignette on a green plate, put some flowers, and some light/dark tiles , here and there, put my bride minfig with a bow, and a dude with tuxedo running from her... Sometimes i entered the contest here and build something for it, even if i dont like the theme, or a dont got the bricks/minifigs, just for fun and for challenge myself to do it ( sometimes I can´t think any think i can do/like, buts thats the live), and when i have some time i search mocs and vignettes on the web looking for new technics,inspiration... I think, mocing,at last for me, is a hobby, just for fun, and make my friends smile with my "lego things" (i have 36 years old...) can be very expensive (if you want to make very big mocs - i feel conform in 8x8 vignettes-) or frustrating if you want to make something Astonishing/innovation/wow!!! creation. My advice is make the things you want, get fun and find a cofortable theme for you ( not theme as city,chima....theme as: cars, planes,houses.....) and if you can´t finish one moc, or get whitout any ideas to make it, leave it in some box, and make other things, someday you will have an idea, see something on internet, and boom! you finish tht project!!!
