CLUES: The Mystery Continues
Darkie replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I would like to examine the contents of the writing desk, and to view anything written on the papers. In addition, what is the book? -
CLUES: The Mystery Continues
Darkie replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, as far as I know, I still have a little silver key that we have not yet tried on the bedroom. Perhaps we should go there when we are done milling about up here? And why is the light green? -
CLUES: The Mystery Continues

Horse toy? You mean a whip? Oh, Stevie. You should remember! I left that back home....;) -
No roof yet. It's going to be displayed at NWBC, so I figured for right now, it didn't need a roof. I hadn't thought of the water trough. I'll put one in now. Thanks! I figure if the Falcons are a sort of renegade group, they'd depend a whole lot on their horses. So, ergo, the horses must be well cared for. Hence their better living conditions than their human riders. :D

I got to thinking. We see all sorts of fun stuff for our dearly beloved Black Falcons, but what about their trusty steeds? They've got to go somewhere, right? It was this thought, and a shortage of my normal building supply of white bricks that made me think, "What sort of additional color can I match up with these white bricks, to make something really cool?" And inspiration struck. And as we know, ignoring inspiration can have negative effects. ;) So, without further ado, I present the Black Falcon's Stable. Now, I figure every good stable has to be able to shoe their horses. I mean, what kind of unkind owner would the Falcon's be, if their horses were unshod? They've also got to create little horses. So Mom and her foal get a bit of fresh air, and a crisp apple. I figure there's bound to be leftovers from a cart of some sort. Perhaps, fodder for a new one? Either way, this cart has seen better days. When the Falcons aren't growing food, storing it or taking care of their horses, the might find a bit of extra time to relax and sharpen an old sword. Here's the saddles for their horses. And finally, some exterior shots. 1 2 3 4 Gallery, when public. Enjoy!

CLUES: The Mystery Continues

Wasn't me. At least, I didn't do anything to Pete.... ;) -
That's because I refuse to post at LUGNET and JLUG will muck it up fantastically without my help. :D
-
Nah. I'm alive. I've got all the jello, yogurt, apple sauce, pudding and mashed potatoes I could eat. Heh. Perhaps I should go join Pete in the wine cellar...that'd help with the swelling....

Somehow, I feel that I am following Stevie, cleaning up his mess.... :P I had my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday. So, that explains me....at the dentist.

CLUES: The Mystery Continues
Darkie replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
In that case, gentlement, drink well, for we enter shortly after my birthday. As we come across doors, I suggest I try this key to see where it might lead. I'd like to try the passage first, since that leads off from the kitchen. After that, the bedroom. -
Continue Mystery at Crowley Mansion
Darkie replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hey, Brickster! Would it be possible to redistribute the clues given to non-participants, so that we can actually SOLVE the mystery? Or perhaps find a way to incorporate them in the existing storyline? -
This silver key. I'd like to see if it works on the padlock. Also, when we make it back down, I'd like to try it at the locked bedroom door and the locked gate down below the kitchen. Also, forgive my ignorance. Have we yet established how Mr. Crowley made his fortune? Perhaps those two treasure hunters were not the first to dive on the wreckage?
-
This is not the first mystery to see the Barbep, who sank in 1847. Who's wreckage was discovered by Phes and Blackbeard, who brought up the items (possibly) from the wreckage. Are these nautical things from that wreckage? In any case, this was a big clue on the Train, where Bloody Jay was the murderer. And Akkhraziel figured it out. Perhaps the key would open the chests?

Where do eBay and BrickLink sellers get LEGO from?
Darkie replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
One addition to how some people get their LEGO--a lot of time. When TLC clearances a set, they pick up masses of them. In five or six years when demand goes up, they sell it for a whole lot of profit. At least 200%, I'd wager. If you pay $5 for a set, then sell it for $20? I'd say that's good profit. -
So? We have a key, yes? So lets try the key in the doors IF they are locked. You won't know until we try.
-
There is a panel on the wall with switches, yes? How many switches are there?

The 124 came from the index that Brickster posted earlier. I asked for page numbers, and this poem, RC, was on page 124. I am curious as to the 0110. Binary comes to mind, but I have my doubts.
-
Fantastic suggestion. I'd like to look at page 124, if you will. Is there any scribbles? Is the page marked more than others? Anything at all?
-
It really depends on the context. Unfortunately, and these seem to be out of context.

Egyptians, young/old/rich/poor wore linen cloths, seeing as it was entirely too hot around there. Usually they were white. In addition, may I see the book of Poems by Edward Arlington Robinson again? You state the titles of the poems--what pages are they on? Each poem and analysis, please. :) Also--when we examined the chairs in the first place, how much were the moved? Completely? Might we go back and see what order the marked chairs sit it, in regards to their markings?

Yoda-the translations of the glyphs are not incorrect--they're out of context. Certain symbols have many meanings, depending on where they fall in the sentence or word. Also, we fleetingly passed a Pharoah. Was it a statue, or an actual mummy? Which Pharoah was it? Does he have any heiroglyphs on him?
-
Well. One of the Poems in the book by E.A.R. reads: The House on the Hill 1 They are all gone away, 2 The House is shut and still, 3 There is nothing more to say. 4 Through broken walls and gray 5 The winds blow bleak and shrill: 6 They are all gone away. 7 Nor is there one to-day 8 To speak them good or ill: 9 There is nothing more to say. 10 Why is it then we stray 11 Around the sunken sill? 12 They are all gone away, 13 And our poor fancy-play 14 For them is wasted skill: 15 There is nothing more to say. 16 There is ruin and decay 17 In the House on the Hill: 18 They are all gone away, 19 There is nothing more to say. I find that to be rather ominous, don't you? Perhaps we can flip to the page that contains this poem, and see if anything is written there at all.
-
See, here's the thing with heirglyphs--the same sign has different meaning in different contexts. It can also have a different phonetic value. So, as far as we know, the letters are K, L, A, and I. You can group them how you see fit. Does the ring carry any heiroglyphs? Are there any similarities?
-
Well, I suppose I can do it. Seeing as you need a little estrogen, and all. :D Count me in.

I'm still interested to see if there are any false books. They're pretty convenient to hide things. Perhaps if we each take a section and check? It shouldn't take that long.
