  1. As a writing consultant, I often see better written english with my ESL students. Just food for thought. Anyhoo, I often come to late during sales to catch anything good, so I've never experienced that kind of dissappointment, of having someone take the last set.
  2. System Sets Discussion on CC ;)
  3. I used the 2x2 tiles because my local PAB has 2x2 tiles. They're what I have. It presented a sort of challenge, getting the roofs to lay right. Most of the grey seen is new grey. It's what I had available. I figured for a uniform look, a high and mighty socialite would have called for white-washing of the visible buildings. Thanks, all!
  4. I told you we should have stopped and asked directions! It was left at the North Sea, not right!
  5. When the muses call, it is unwise to ignore them. So, I built in a style that was very new to me. So, here we go! A shot of the street shows some lovely store fronts. Specifically, the Bank and the Herbalist's Shoppe. You can't see them, but there is a tavern and an Armory retailer behind the shops. The white on top is the living quarters of the shop keepers. What's new for me is that each roof is removable. The gallery is public, so feel free to browse through the shops, and see the items available. Please stop in at the tavern, and enjoy the home brew. Thanks for shopping! ;)
  6. I believe this is an entry in CCC3. All the minifigs are inside the cave.
  7. I have to say Gold City Junction. Because I got a nearly complete one of eBay for less than 20 bucks. All it was missing was a1x2 cards tile and a 1x1 round red plate. :D
  8. It's not Umlaris Castle or any other Castle display. Another vote for castle resides right here. I'd also like to point out that the Eurobricks member groups are based in Castle, NOT pirates. :P
  9. Oh, I've noticed the jokes. I've read them all before, too. And these are based on some high-maintenance women, because I certainly don't fit all of the negative stereotypes of girls. I'm pretty darn happy, too. :P
  10. No idea how he became governer, but I guarantee you he slept on the couch that night. Man...Look at his wife's face! She's not too terribly happy with him. :D
  11. I do enjoy coffee...when it's done right. Ah, I do love being from Seattle. And no, I am not referring to Starbucks...they burn their beans. Of course, they do train their barista's rather well, so they go off and open little stands EVERYWHERE and buy better beans. Thus making a better coffee drink. Usually I do a double-shot 12 ounce Mocha. I do that so rarely, and it reeeeaaaally produces an interesting effect.
  12. Yeah, Okay. I know, it's a couple days old now, but I do know the guy who did that. His name's John, and he hangs out at CC. Myself, I'm a castle kind of girl.
  13. Name: Caylin Age: 20 State: Washington (NOT D.C.)
  14. I find that trans blue bricks do better for a water effect. Perhaps that with some clear plates for the choppiness.
  15. I would also like to participate. I WILL figure one of these out someday! ;)
  16. Yeah. The cat food is a bit....odd. Nutrition, perhaps? Or a big tiger that is waiting to eat us? ;) Of course...it just looks like cat food. Are we sure it's cat food?
  17. SuvieD, you amaze me. *wub* ;)
  18. I'm going to guess Wyoming, perhaps near Alcova Lake.
  19. A bronze statue of Anubis? I don't recall any statues of Egypt being made of bronze. The were usually carved stone. Either way, this is incredibly valuble. Please don't break the canopic jars. If they're sealed, the contain the nasty remnants of the various removed parts from the mummifcation process. Which mummy is it? Is there an ovbious Book of the Dead? You mentioned nothing about the other heirglyphs. Much like the Rosetta Stone, perhaps the sarcophogus is the key.
  20. Scala isn't around anymore. It also had more of a barbie-type fig. Belville uses more system parts, and has smaller, more minifig like figures.
  21. Thank you, Mr. Lego Bildur for yoru diligence in searching the cloths of a dead man. ;) Can we take this key and try it in the chamber under the kitchen? And in anything else that requires a key that we can't yet open?

    Countries

I hail from Seattle, Washington. That'd be in the states. :D
  23. Married or not, he did have children at least, as evidenced by his journal entry conerning his great-granddaughter. Moreover, I believe the young child in the picture to be his daughter, perhaps. Grandmother to said great-granddaughter. Do we have any additonal information about her? There has to be more information, what with our temporary absence. He was concerned about her getting something valuable, like the estate or something.
  24. I'd like to open the footlocker, than examine the closet.
  25. Interesting. There were the bits and pieces, presumably from the sunken ship, who played a role in the Train Mystery. And who is his great grand daughter? What does she have to gain? Stevie, you wrote a letter before. I say through the confidentiality out the window. Can you shed some light on this?
