  1. Who are you thinking of as his 4th main femme foe? Ivy, Selina, Harley... and Talia?
  2. It is true. GL is a fairly limited character unless he comes with just heaps of trans green bricks and ideas on how to build heaps of different things of something - which could be cool. Actually, I take that back haha. LEGO is the perfect platform for GL, as it is the only thing I can think of which allows for someone to build whatever they want him to use - which I'd say is the fatal flaw with all of the other toys of him.
  3. I've added a poll! Can everyone try to limit their votes to just one fig from here on in? Also, let's try to not nominate whole themes, because they won't be counted (except Speed Racer, simply because so many people have already voted for it). However, feel free to still vote for groups of figs (i.e. Clone wars humans) Thanks Everyone
  4. Queen Amidala is an excellent figure in terms of effort and accuracy. She's hard to beat, if only she looked anything like the Padme/Hermione face. I think colored eyes are an all round fail. I can't think of a fig I like with them, and I think that is a lot of the problem with the Indiana Jones girls.
  5. I definitely agree about the clone wars figs... eh... Cap, however, I think it fine. I think it is the source character design, from the avengers which is more the problem if you don't like the darker colors. That said, I know how disappointing a fig can be if you are hyped up for it. It is really interesting to see everyone's opinions! I would have never picked some of these as best/worst. It really shows how great the licenses are, as they let everyone enjoy their own tastes. The aliens are horrific haha. I still can't work out how they are meant to look anything like their movie counter parts...
  6. Wow, I've never even seen Twitch before! That head is awesome! What license is he from?
  7. I was clicking around on brickipedia today, and I came across the Juno Eclipse minifigure. At first I thought she was just someone's poorly made decal version. But no, she's is the real deal. I can't think of a figure who I felt had ever been so poorly made. And that got me thinking, who else is there? Could TLG have made any bigger mistakes with their licensed themes beyond SW? This fig gave me such a good laugh that I couldn't help but ask if there were any others! At the same time, I'd love to know who you think the best designed licensed fig ever is! So post who you think are TLG's biggest licensed triumphs, and most hilariously dismal failures! POLL: (Please, from here on in, only specify one fig as the absolute best/worst, so it is easier to poll :) Cureently I am only including the first fig people mention if they choose more than 1. Also, please don't vote for whole themes, I'm not counting any others than Speed racer) BEST: 2012 Joker: I Twitch: I TMNT Turtles: II Bobba Fett: II Atlantis' Barracuda Warrior: I Queen Amidala: I Iron Man: I Nesquik Bunny!!!: I Deadpool: I General Grevious: I Captian America: I Harry Potter: I Wonderwoman: I Bellatrix Lestrange: I WORST: First Squidward: II SW: The Clone Wars Humans: IIII Captian America: I Avengers Aliens: I Juno Eclipse: I 1st Flesh Hermione: I 2nd Two Face: I Speed Racer Figs: II EV-A4-D: I Hawkeye: I NBA Basketball Players: I Black Widow: I
  8. You are absolutely right. Hopefully, as time goes on, they will expand their source base. Even with Batman I'm hoping they will release some Beware The Batmansets in late 2013/early 2014. I wonder why TLG hasn't done so so far? The only set we have seen based on anything is the Tumblr/Bat set - and I feel like there must be a reason behind that. Maybe it has something to do with TLG wanting to do some basic remakes of the ond sets first or something???
  9. Well, I'm speechless. This is phenomenal.
  10. Didn't you know?! This is the Mandarin ring discussion topic! The name got accidentally changed in the server switch. We're just waiting for the mods to change it back I agree though. Let's just end this. We'll just have to wait and see.
  11. I think he means an accessory, sort of like wolverine's claws, which the rings would be printed onto. :)
  12. Great work! I agree with JackAttack. This would be a sweet polybag, or a similar promotion to the pick-a-brick batman and robin that were released a while ago. Keep it up!!!
  13. I don't think anyone really appreciates the way you keep slamming them down for not having the same detailed knowledge that you evidently have. This is not a movie forum. This ring conversation is getting ridiculous - we now have proof that the magic rings won't be in the movies. So even if they were included as some kind of mechanical wepon (which seems unlikely) It seems pretty obvious that they are not going to be important enough to make into a new mold or recolor 10 rings for a 1-off purpose. I feel like the chances of them creating 8 lantern figures to get use of the 8 rings is a little unfeasible, don't you?
  14. I agree, Diagon Alley is an awesome set - that price is crazy good too! I would just buy it and sell it on if I could buy it for that much - there is a profit to be made there! haha I love your MOC. The only thing I would do, in order to give it the detail of a modular, would be to work on the roof of the quidditch shop - it is a little plain and boring at the moment. Other than that, great work! I hope to see this in bricks one day! (Or at least a good render )
  15. Great. Now they only have to find 8 other uses for the rings. At the end of the day, like Sam 892 said, they didn't do it for green Lantern, who only has one ring. Why the heck would they do it for a character who has 10 haha?!
  16. Do you really think they are going to do 10 recolors of a single piece of very, very limited usefulness in future sets? I don't think so. I imagine this will just be a case of him just having two rings, a single piece made to resemble them, or (much, much more likely) nothing at all. Developing a new mold for the piece would be a hugely expensive way to add an incredibly small detail, which would ultimately incredibly limit the playability of the fig, because they can do nothing while holding it. I just don't see it happening...
  17. I'm fairly sure that piece is not part of the torso, but part of the hairpiece :)
  18. Dude, don't get worked up about it. This isn't a forum about the movie, it's about LEGO. You don't have to explain it to anyone if you don't want to. Not everyone on this discussion is going to know that, because it has very little to do with the discussion. :)
  19. I agree. I know LEGO is hugely male-centric, but I think that, if TLG is smart, they will bring in some of the ladies. Not only do the 'damsel in distress' type characters add a huge amount of playability to a set, but they also make up intricate parts of these worlds. At the moment it seems like they are getting that more with the DC line than marvel, but I maintain that the includence of Pepper (and hopefully other lady Civvies in the future) is a good move in the right direction in order to expand and maintain this hugely potential theme.
  20. He's the exact same as the 2012 version. But yes, he's lighter than the spider man 2 version :)
  21. haha. I hesitated to post at first because I was thinking that you were trying to make it intimidating Now that we know it is meant to be cute, it is awesome. All the bubble shapes make it look like a sort of gocart. You should make similar ones for other characters! I'd kill to see an invisible jet done in this style Great work!
  22. This is so bizarre! I was thinking about doing this the other day haha! But this is amazing. It is absolutely gold. Is it at all stable?
  23. Yay... looks like we win the highest price competition again... -_-
  24. The spider chase is the only marvel set I've thought about getting. The price/quality of the set is sooo good. (Sidenote: 100th post!!! Woo!)
  25. I think the new cowl is incomparably better. Bats finally has an expression with it. I need to get my hands on one of them...
