  1. The FR catalogue don't have any GS pages... I'll unpin this thread and start a general Sci-Fi thread for 2014
  2. I'll merge this dicussion with the WIP thread
  3. Throws flowers at himself - Because if I don't do it myself, who will?.. Don't know who gave it to me...
  4. Really nice base! The hanging wire and other details make this very accurate to the movie. But if you want it to be more realistic, you should let the Rebel win...
  5. You see how those imperials manipulate the truth to make us Rebels have the bad role...
  6. Can't see your pictures anymore
  7. Sci-Fi builder Bob De Quatre have been nominated as the new Sci-Fi regulator. Give him a warm welcome! *Throw flowers at himself* Ok guys (and girls), I'll be helping Si-MOCs taking care of the Sci-Fi forum. I'll try to bring back life in the depth of space, but for that I'll need you to build awesome MOCs. If you have any idea or request concerning this forum, don't hesitate to pm me. Together we can surpass the Technic forum in term of views and posts! Let's our SHIPs destroy their puny axles and liftarms!
  8. That's a great head
  9. Don't consider what I'll say as harsh or mean, but I really want to give you my thoughts since your model is a true wonder. I fear you'll end up with a 20,000$ pile of plastic glued on a steel frame laying in your living room as there is no way to move it... I'm probably wrong, but I think there are only a few here who have built models of that size (ok, models of half that size). Anio and I happen to have build 1,50m long Executors so I think we know what we are speaking of. The problems we faced, you'll face them... more than twice. You should really consider splitting up the build: - the upper hulls could be separated in 3, - the rear underside with the engines could be one part, - the structure could be also designed to be splitted And you should build a lego frame. Anio could tell you that a 2,50m long Venator is buildable 100% lego, and that it's difficult to move it entirely assembled. People in the technic forum could help you build a very resistant structure, some of them build bridges that support more than 50kg. I know you are limited by LDD (I have an abandonned design with 40,000 bricks, I think you know why...), but maybe you could split the 4 hulls, the rear undercity and the frame in different files. I sincerely hope you'll be able to build that "monster"
  10. Really nice room! I like how you used the technic motor part. Lots of textures on the walls and the floor. The armor on the stand is a nice touch. I guess a 6x4 trans-blue plate
  11. Really great job! Having designed in LDD and then build a 5.3 foot Executor, I've spent a lot of time studying the studio model to recreate the maximum of details, but what I couldn't achieve at that scale, you did perfectly. Seeing a picture from the top, I think it's maybe a little too narrow, but like every other Executor that have been built. Sadly I don't think you'll be able to sell the instructions... You should listen to what Anio said about funding. You'll need a strong structure inside to support the weight and avoid bending of the rear, and at least 3 or 4 sections to be able to transport it. Have you an idea on how to display it? You certaily have to cut trough that hull to add feets
  12. The rear cannon can rotate horizontaly, but I didn't have the space to add a vertical rotation. There is no astromech since it's a small fighter, like on the a-wing.
  13. Really nice stand! You may want to look at that awesome diorama by markus1984 for inspiration...
  14. Did some changes. Now both the upperwings and the underwings are attached to the body and the engine. Also I managed to lower the parts between the 2 canopies by one plate. I removed the fin under the nose as it wasn't looking really good. Star Wars ARC-135 by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr
  15. Thanks BD for the blogging I must say that I didn't know the ARC-170 was the precursor of the x-wing I think the wings should work as they are. They will go down a little tough. Maybe I'll try new attachments for the wings and see how it looks. This is just a quick MOC, and I usually don't want to spend more than a few hours on them, considering that I still have bigger project to finish (currently a 13 000 bricks one).
  16. The time machine is really nice, but the 3 scene are beautiful, and the way they combine is great.
  17. Thanks guys I couldn't attach them to the body, but I think that in real bricks the wings will fall down a little until the underwings touch the body. Someone has to brickbuild it to check that Someone told me that too on Flickr... Seriously Lucasarts should have asked me to validate their ships designs
  18. Very nice scene Markus ! Once again that's something I'd like to display on my shelves
  19. Congrats kabel with a lowercase k
  20. Thanks LegoFjotten
  21. Awesome build! It should be pointier, but it's still awesome
  22. First build of the year! The few hours spent today were great as I really like the ARC-170 and wanted to build something that looked similar both in shape and functionalities, but somewhat smaller. The ARC-135 could be the little brother of the ARC-170
  23. Nice mecha The only things that bothers me (a little) are the too short legs, and the wheels on the left leg.
