Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Tobias_Jay replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
That is certainly an interesting set. If it is real, I am happy to finally be getting a Flash figure but that Riddler hot-rod looks like a bit of a throw-in. I am a little funny with Batman's vehicle, but it might grow on me. Does anyone think it is going to be a $20 set? -
Wow, which books are these again? That merman/maid could be an underwater story arc which might be interesting, maybe Ninjago gets flooded. Maybe Ninjago will be invaded by different kinds of evil beings, instead of an army. That would be interesting to see and would provide a good variety of figures.

I too would love to see a Krypton based set, Jor El in armour and some of Zod's ships, but that seems unlikely. I do hope we see some DC sets that aren't Batman, but in saying that we may have some sets based of the new Beware the Batman show. -

I don't know why they said that because EB Games said on their website and to me personally that the Iron Patriot figure is the bonus for pre ordering the game. So I'd say you can expect it in New Zealand soon. -
Very funny!

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

The Iron Patriot is included with the Australian pre-order so it isn't US only. I think TLG needs to look into this. The Black Suit Superman and last years Black Suit Spiderman are perfect exclusives because they are variants of figures we already have, new figures we have never seen can cause disruption in the community. I reckon when TLG relizes this, then the community may rest a little during this time. -

These figures look very nice. I finally got Adobe Illustrator so I could make some decals for those who can't get them but are desperate for them. They will take a while and that Spiderman could be the death of me, but I am up to the challenge. They also won't be perfect but I can try my best. -
I don't know if ASM talk counts in this topic but an interesting report came out of the ASM studio...apparently Andrew Garfield wants MJ to be a male. http://au.ign.com/articles/2013/07/10/spider-mans-andrew-garfield-wants-mary-jane-to-be-male

Saw The Lone Ranger today. I have no clue what those critics are talking about because I loved that movie. The chemistry between the Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp was amazing, I hope they do something together again later. It is a shame that the critics word may have swayed some people because there were not many people in the theatre, but then again it is Wednesday so that might explain it. I definitely recommend it, regardless of what the critics say.

Here is a innovating thing you could do, it is called ignoring the things you don't like! Seriously man, this is a Hunger Games topic and you happen to have a distaste for the Hunger Games so why bother visiting this topic and, like Tolkien said, you didn't give any reasons for why you dislike it. I understand if you don't like it, everyone has thier own opinions, but there are people (like me) who love the Hunger Games trilogy. So please take the negativity somewhere else please.

I bought Shaun of the Dead on Blu-Ray a while ago and haven't had time to watch it until now. Very funny and extremely gruesome at the same time. I definately recommend it to those who can take a bit (or a lot) of sick humor and some blood and guts.

Is it possible that we might see a sneak peek of Ninjago's next installment at Comic-Con like we did last year? That would be amazing.
-
Oh yeah, I agree. I was kinda referring to the other 3 .

Minecraft is one of the biggest games at the moment. LEGO has the rights to make sets based on this game, I don't think they would waste it with just one set. Regardless of the logic behind this, I couldn't agree more about leaving it at one set. It just was never going to happen.
-
These would be interesting if they are true. I was hoping it wasn't the Nether, because then we will have to connect it to the bottom of the previous set because it is the underworld of Minecraft. I will probably end up ignoring them like I did with the first one unless they are standout amazing.

What! That sucks! Oh well, thanks for telling me. Ah yes, that too . -
I saw the Chima volume 1 DVD at JB HI FI and it retails for $12.99. But what baffled me was that I remember someone saying it only had the first two episodes, but when I looked at the back it had all four episodes. Is it different here than it is elsewhere?

Just got back from Man of Steel and I it is refreshing to see how accurate to the movie the sets are, unlike Iron Man 3. There are just 2 inaccuracies. Other than those, they are very accurate. On a side note, I also picked up the Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle. I think War Machine Is my favourite minifigure in the Superheroes line, but that could change when I get Zod in his armor. -
I just came back from Man of Steel. Hands down best Superman movie (yes I know, it didn't have much to compete with). Zack Synder and Christopher Nolan have done something to Supes that I think I like.

That peacock certainly looks interesting (he also has a really cool name). So do those Bears and Rhinos, especially that grey Bear. I was contemplating this game, now it looks really good from those screenshots.

Gaah, you beat me to it! Well I am about as, if not more, excited as I am for the LEGO Movie. Who thinks it will coincide with the current series and also if Jay Vincent will be composing the music for it?

^Could not agree more. I hope that Laval does something so bad that it makes Cragger hate him, the lions and their allies without the need for the flower.

LEGO did receive a LOT of hate regarding the exclusives last year. Maybe LEGO are playing it safe this year. Still, I think they should give something to those AFOLs who give their time to go to Comic Con.
