  1. I'm going to be in a horrible position. Do I open it? Do I save it?
  2. I love the mixture of the two. It's great. As Leewan said, the container lifting mechanism isn't really very practical, but could you... Extend the axle with the 16 and worm gear on, Remove the 16 tooth gear, Put one of these on...images And have two 12 tooth gears, so the mechanism can be controlled from the side. You micht have to modify the chassis a little bit, but it might work.
  3. Yes! I might actually have helped someone!
  4. Thanks Zblj. I didn't think of that, so you've set my mind at rest. I'm not sure about others being sent to spam, but mine came up immediately as an important email. I don't know why, because I have set TLG to important.
  5. Oops. My mistake. Is there any way to slope the sides of the bonnet at all? I just think it might enhance it a little bit. Maybe using these would work?
  6. I got an email today! I wasn't expecting to finish in the to finish in the top 100, or receive anything if i did, so it made my day! I sent my email to the address stated, but haven't' got any conformation. I wasn't sure if a conformation email would be sent or not, so does anyone know?
  7. Lego Muppet, I really like how you've gone for a sports car! I think to improve it, you could put one of these on each side of the bonnet. I really like it though. It reminds me of a Ginetta
  8. There not sequential, so probably wouldn't work in a sidecar, but thanks, because I could use them in my cars.
  9. Normally it's a bad thing, but with my Lego, I don't have this colour problem, because I too am colour blind.
  10. Those links aren't working. Thanks for all the help everyone!
  11. If you could as another two gears (or if not) could you send me an LXF file, or some detailed pics of the 5 speed gearbox? That would be absolutely perfect for my Sidecar, and probably future mica as well.
  12. Hi! I'm relatively new on Eurobricks, but I have followed the progress on the sight, by looking at peoples MOC's etc. for some time. Not too long ago, I thought that I would try and design a realistic sidecar, using knowledge that I have learned from my years of Lego. I made a nice chassis, and fully functional suspension and steering, but for me, this wasn't enough. I've tried several times, to create a sequential gearbox (preferably 4-6 speed) that will fit inside the slim chassis, but I've not had any luck. This leads me on to my question. Is there anyone, who would be able to design a gearbox for the sidecar, that its within a 16x7x7 stud space (the whole chassis area left for a gearbox)? Is it even possible to make a 4 speed sequential in such a tight space? Oh, and by the way, full credit will go to everyone who can help me with this. Thanks.
  13. Ok thanks. I'll give it ago. EDIT: Ok, I've realised why it won't work. It helps if I try to open it in the right software doesn't it. Thankyou, and finally it should work.
  14. I've played with lego for as long as I remember, developing my skills over time. I've also been brought up around motor racing, sidecars inpaticular, and have spent many hours looking at the mechanics. I try to use my knowledge of vehicles into moc's, but it doesn't always work .
  15. Thank you very much. Next on the list of things to do, is mount all the parts I've designed onto a chassis. Why do I do things in such a bad order. To everyone who makes these sequential gearboxes, congratulations, because the thought of designing one baffles me. Keep up the good work. That link just come up with all the coding. I don't know what it means, so any ideas?
  16. Pvdb, do you have an LDD file, or some detailed pics that you could send me? I really need a manual sequential, for my latest MOC. It's a custom Ford F150, so it has upgraded features from the 2013 model, such as height adjustable suspension. The main thing is that I have a sequential gearbox, so currently I'm using Sheepo's 4 speed, but I would like a manual, with a few more gears. If you could help it would be great.
  17. A similar thing happened to one of my shock absorbers. It's now bent, because I left it in sunlight (stupid little child I was) and there was some pressure on it. I can only guess that it got heated up, and gradually bent itself.
  18. We are really getting alot closer to the worlds first fully lego car, that has a full body etc, with all the functions (indicators, lights, brakes etc.) to make it road legal. Apart from it being made from lego.
  19. I'm designing this things much smaller baby brother. The F150. So far, it has Diff Locks, Height Adjustable Suspension, Sheepo's 4 speed sequential and Brakes. All I need to do now, is design a front axle, a chassis, and a body. All the electronic features are done, just the basics need doing. I think I've done this in the wron order. I like the F650 though, but U think the suspension needs improving.
  20. The range in suspension height would only be very small if the smaller LA's were used. I don't know if this will fit, or if it would be useful, but give it a go if you want. If you want the LDD file, for instruction, I'll happily send it. It's 4 studs wide, and 7.5 studs high, with the 24 tooth gears, but, with different gear ratios, could be lowered to 7 studs high. EDIT : Nevermind, it's too wide. I'll get designing again. EDIT 2 : Here is a narrower 3 stud wide version that will need a bit of modification for strength.
  21. I've made a design that MIGHT work, but I'm not sure. I'll post a picture when I can.
  22. The area on the last picture, put another 12 tooth gear meshing with the 20 tooth gear, directly out of an m motor.
  23. I found a new bug. It's with the axle connector part. url You are now able to slide the whole piece onto one axle, which is not possible in real life. It's a pain for the MOC I'm designing. Who likes the F150?
