  1. You like cars, don't you? What a huge power your truck has, damn.. Nice creation & vid!
  2. Just a question, which now came across my mind while reading some topics, but how does someone get a small icon with for instance 'Moc expert' or 'Star Wars' or so? Thank you Kenny.
  3. Funny, and maybe off topic, but kinda reminds me of the Audi concept 'car' called 'Snook', which is basically a one-wheeled vehicle for 2 people. And your moc has a slight similarity with it, which I like! - Just as a reference -
  4. Naah, I think it's kinda rubbish Maybe a 'nice-to-have', but not a 'nice-to-use' plate Brickbuilt stays the best!
  5. I really do love the crack on the 4th picture! Very nice creation you have there I just can't understand why they stay so serious while their tower is sinking
  6. In the beginning, vikings sold pretty good, but they didn't last long. It was a new line, with some new parts in it, so it was a hit. Just as i.e. Atlantis. I don't see this theme last very long either, but I agree there are some neat and useful new parts in it. And I personally think that Romans/Greeks are better known to children then the Viking or Atlantis theme is. I'd say: yes there will be such theme. Maybe not in the few next months, but there will be one. Just look at the previous enquiry TLC launched. As I can still remember, there were 2 (correct me if I'm wrong) questions where they asked if you wanted to see an Ancient/Greek theme. To me this is the biggest proof that LEGO isn't excluding this idea, don't you think? The demand is too big. Too many adults are asking for this theme. And it would be stupid not to listen to this so important target group. Know that the importance of AFOL's is increasing daily! Why did TLC launced the Ambassadors? Why are they sending enquiries? Because we are important! As for the children, I am sure they will be interested by this theme. Why wouldn't they be? As some said before, Asterix and Obelix is well known and pretty popular among children. And why would Playmobil start this line if it wouldn't sell? I can assure you they just do not launch a new theme fully blindfolded, and a profound market research has happened. I've been doing Marketing for the past three years, and I can say it would really be foolish not to start this line (unless the market research proves the contrary of course!).
  7. Do you have a photo of it?
  8. Hehe. I'm sure everyone here has the same '$' problem
  9. I especially like the base of the well, using the cheese slopes! Maybe add some more wood (or a small wooden roof) on top of it? Great job anyway!
  10. Done! Let's hope they do something with the ideas
  11. Now THIS is Star Wars! Amazing job!
  12. It is never too late! Of course, it will take longer to build a red/bluecoat army in comparison with the 2009 pirates theme. But search, and you will find It won't be very cheap and take some time, but Rome wasn't build in one day too, was it? Me too started collecting the older pirate figs a year or 2 ago, and have a nice collection now. About 40 normal pirates, and 20 redcoats or so. And every time I can get some, I buy them. My advice: start collecting! (and take good care of them, because they're worth it )
  13. Everyone has to start somewhere! And don't worry, the parts will come. As I can see now, you have nice ideas. If you will have more parts one day, you'll make great creations. The overall view of the castle looks pretty realistic. Keep up the build
  14. I think that if you build modular in the castle theme, the buildings and castles would look a lot more rigid. There are differences in height (towers, rocks, walls, buildings), in width/length (walls, gates) and there are a lot of environmental difficulties. Trees, rivers and mountains are hard to build modular, but are (in my opinion) a necessary part of medieval life. I'm not a fan of modular buildings ;) Of course, as it has been said before, it is a lot easier to build modular in the city theme, because most of the buildings face towards one point: a street, a market, ... .
  15. Goodday! For my last castle: Click!, I needed a lot of bley bricks too. I was fortunate to find a shop on bricklink selling a few hundreds of them. But I know, it is hard to find enough bricks in only one store. I also have to buy from several stores if I need a large quantity of them. In fact I used about 5 different stores to get enough light & dark bley bricks 1 x 4, 1 x 3, 1 x 2 and 1 x 1. Otherwise I think you can get them on Pick-A-Brick too (www.lego.com), but it's quite overpriced. I'd recommend Bricklink. Of course, if you want to reduce shipping costs, you can combine your order with several people. That way you can divide these shipping costs among these people. I mostly do it that way. For instance you can ask people you know (or on this or other forums), if they are interested in buying stuff from a particular store. And if you have 3 or 4 people interested, they can send you their wish list, you order the parts and afterwards devide shipping costs.
  16. Maybe I'll consider applying for this job.. This year I finish my Marketing studies, so this might be a great opportunity to make my hobby into my job..
  17. 22. Perfectionist: 3 points. Love the environmental reality!
  18. Great set, but the two outlaws make this set so amazing!
  19. This category was the most difficult one to vote for, but here are my grades: Skalldyr: 2 points (too bad for the part limitation. I would really like to see this market much crowded, because the design is really nice) Legolyon: 1 point (very nice cart man! )
  20. Again some really nice creations. However, from some I do not really see the link with existing sets. So I mostly based my judgement on the similarity/looks of an existing set and on the realism. MrTool: 2 points Fugazi: 1 Point But, great job to everyone! Too bad I couldn't find the time to participate
  21. Here are my votes, but I have to admit it wasn't easy to pick just three favourites! There were some really nice creations. Anyway: Oky wan Kenobi: 2 points Skalldyr: 1 point
  22. - Review: Great! - Minifigs: Win! :skull: - Tower itself: Hmmm, design is, well, let me say, boring.. First of all, some colours aren't in place, and there's not much of a structure in it. To me, it looks like a tower made from a kid who got his first box of separate Lego bricks, and started to make something like a tower..
  23. Nice creation! Love western mocs! But are the bags for the guns not a bit too small?
  24. My Dragon Masters, which were the first sets I had, also contained the rigid swords, and not the soft ones. I'm also more fond of the hard version than the soft, if it was only for the look. They look more shiny, like real swords.
  25. Thanks for sharing! I didn't even know something like this actually exists
