  1. Great job buddy Nice to have a look over all the details. I think the icing on the cake would have been a top hat on Mr Bones out front, perhaps directing people in to the salubrious inner dealings. It all adds up to spooky establishment.
  2. Well it looks sufficiently eerie and I like most of the colour scheme. I find the green to be a bit in my face, not quite sure what to make of it. Nothing says spooky like a cypress tree either. I reserve judgement till more pics are revealed. Then I shall provide additional comments.
  3. Whilst technically not a sale, thought you might want to check out James May's Lego house on SBS tonight at 7:30 Good Friday. They would have had to get a good bulk discount on all the bricks for this build! Enjoy.
  4. I must have missed this, good thing its in your sig I love the whole art deco styling of this atrocious Kings Cross domicile, its seediness pervades the nearby parkland, and don't get me started on the Lothario and his bohemian shirtless offsider. Underbelly anyone? The roofing looks spectacular and loving the dark tan highlights around the tan windows too Great stuff on the trees, the 1/2 barrels work alright for trunks and the lily pads are a nice touch. Well done. Are you sure its not the clientele you have your eye on? All these Svelte undercover photos haven't aroused suspicion yet in the neighbourhood?
  5. Yes, I did omit that from my post, cheers for the reminder
  6. This was posted three posts above yours already. In addition to the awesome savings, MYER One card holders get an extra 10% off till Monday 5th. Oooooooh Yer!
  7. Well, that's hardly the earth shattering Hadron Collider incident i had planned Perhaps the gems would cause the apparition to disappear? Lets try placing both near the apparition Can someone do something with that tile already, I have a feng shui spine, it needs to face towards the door at all times, so no lifting for me.
  8. A lovely review of another fine addition to an AFOL's collection. You are indeed right about parts for this Pirate/Castle fan. Sign me up for one of these (and more on discount later ) Great stuff and thanks for the review buddy
  9. Great Review Svelteman! Looks like a parts and figs bonanza this set and indeed the whole line. I can't wait to get my mitts on these playsets.
  10. A dark gem and light gem.....I would like to place the two gems near each other and see if there is some kind of reaction. Maybe they have an all you can eat cannibal buffet and he doesn't want to miss out?! I would like to snap a picture of the apparition if possible
  11. Beautiful review of a huge set! I had no idea this was that much bigger than the system scale sets. i must admit the lines are fairly well designed. Maybe one day i will track one down for my collection. Cheers ISC.
  12. Really good idea and nicely executed. Wouldn't mind seeing a track for the race too!
  13. Western does hold a fondness in many peoples hearts but the interest can be hard to maintain when new sets aren't available to pique peoples interest. I was so keen I had to place BL orders to get the figures I wanted just to have a crack at Tombclone, so the accessibility surely impacts upon peoples interest levels. by all means have a look at some of the recent creations and drop some comments or even have a crack at something yourself. Its like the everyone just got the hell outta here!
  14. Thanks for the comparison shots Mutley. Thanks to Anio too for finding this pic. I still think it looks quite nice, and very similar to the original. Shame they haven't used the printed dish pieces, but it still looks nice imho.
  15. Oooo Chick fight! Hold on I think I saw some jelly and oil over in the main chamber. Just keep it in your pants for once sword boy! A dark gem and light gem.....I would like to place the two gems near each other and see if there is some kind of reaction.
  16. This is a really nice effort to build Santa Fe coaches from PAB. Very impressive. I like the fact you have included interiors and tried to differentiate all the coaches from one another. Probably the only thing that bothers me is the facet bricks not going all the way across on the second row under the windows. Perhaps if the ends were finished in something other than plain brick?
  17. Thanks so much Cloney for this great review! I loved this set from the first moment I saw it, what with all the great torso's, the castle and camel. Its all good
  18. Wow! This is indeed troubling news. I am not sure where this leaves us now? Stanton is up to no good, but why are dudes after him too? More than one crazy faction is at work, or some weird hazing ceremony?
  19. Wow! Nice to see you building again mrts. A nice return to form I might add, a lovely dwarven mine entrance, it really has a cold barren feel to it. Hope to see some more from you soon.
  20. Welcome to the complete collection of MOC's designed by Team Eurobrick's Finest for the MOCathalon competition on MOCPages. The players had to form teams consisting of two AFOL's (pedro and ISC) and three YFOL/TFOL's (Matn, SlyOwl, and Erdbeereis) All teams were given 30 different topics to build in amongst the team. Once each category had been built in teams were allowed to have a second go at categories if time was permitted. We are very proud of our efforts managing third place with 41 creations. Some of our Eurobrick's members may have noticed some of these MOC's around the boards but we really wanted a place to showcase our teams achievements to you guys. You may even have seen Erdy's Spatlantis creation on TBB. A special thanks goes to Jipay for allowing us the use of the Eurobricks logo for our team. Below are the thumbnail links to each creation. You should definitely click on the Red Helicopter as it is an amazing storyline depicting the five team members. Cheers ISC. Now I really need to finish sorting and cleaning up after this month of hectic building
  21. A fantastic job on a 7 wide coach. Love the curtains and sprung sets, very nice.
  22. If there is anything worth reading in the hidey hole I would like to read it to everyone.
  23. The arms and torso are nicely done. The legs on the other hand need to be a lot bulkier and stronger to support this beastie.
  24. Whilst it is important TLC releases a Castle line to me and others, it is inevitable that there will be some repetition. It is after all mostly based on historical facts when it came to weaponry etc. I'm sure designers come up with other ideas along the way, however they may not test well with focus groups of children. It is important to remember that TLC is always looking to sell to the next generation of children each time it launches a new line, hence the constant re-visitation of themes, Police Station, Space Ships, etc. I don't find the new large Castle to be too interesting however the twin human factions are very appealing. The figures are nicely designed, and will surely make me want these sets moreso. I feel like there can be other Historical themes, however we are spoiled at the moment with PoP and HPotter, so until these sets are discontinued I cannot foresee more than one truly non licensed Historical theme existing. Lego does make a big deal about the modularity of certain sets, but doesn't really expand upon the line. Perhaps as others have mentioned above, that this is a way in which they could move in future. I really hope we are spoiled again with another AFOL Castle set in the new Kingdoms theme as I prefer brick built walls to big junorized pieces. A good point was made early on about the Castle adhering to the land that it is built upon, and whilst the older Castles look nice, I have never been a fan of the chunky pre-molded baseplates. Yes the castles themselves have more playability, but yuck to the baseplates. So in some sort of conclusion to all my random points, yes the Castle theme is repetitive, but I will continue to enjoy it, even if it is just for the great figures and factions, if the sets are constantly rehashes, as I will just build my own fortresses and houses.
  25. This is an amazing creation with all its action and gothic undertones! Its nice to be able to easily peer inside to look at all the details. The colour scheme works well to me except the wooden doors on a bank don't seem likely to be too strong at repelling would be bank robbers like Two Face. I really like the motorbike and truck, nicely designed. The gargoyles are a nice touch too. Can you resize this picture that is way too big for site guidelines and took a long time to load up, http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Righteou...mBank/gb2aa.jpg Great job, Cheers ISC.
