  1. Favourite Pokemon would probably be Mewtwo, in terms of how awesome it was in FireRed; the team I had consisted of Mewtwo, Charizard, Kadabra, Lapras, Pidgeot, Onyx, and Machoke. Pretty good combo for me. As for games I only really played FireRed growing up since I was more into Zelda in terms of Nintendo products.
  2. 1. Attack on Weathertop 2. Shelob Attacks. Saved up enough to hopefully get Attack of the Wargs or maybe a City set.
  3. Gladiator; almost definitely now my favourite Russell Crowe movie.

    Canadian Eh?

Might it also be possible that Mirage Studios just charges more than the usual price for licensed themes, similar to Star Wars?
  5. Finished Clash of the Titans yesterday and The Hobbit in afternoon. Relatively pleased with both, but there were definitely spaces for improvement in both; least of all running time in The Hobbit.
  6. Just finished watching it, pretty pleased overall. Just what I can remember off the top of my head, might add more later.
  7. Riddles for the Ring; happy with it in general except for the wrinkles about Bilbo's eyes which make him look too old.
  8. I'm pretty sure that this whole conspiracy thing wouldn't exist if the Mayans weren't wiped out by colonization and actually got to keep working on their calendar. That being said, there have been several archaeologists and scientists who dispute the theory. So yeah, only thing I'm seriously worried about for today is whether there are any good Star Wars sets left at Walmart tonight to get for my brother. EDIT: Also a bit too much snow for driving comfort, but that's about it.
  9. The first Taken, which was far superior to the 2nd one in terms of plot and the movie in general.

Thanks guys, I'll see if I can drop by later tonight to pick one up. :)

Anyone in Ontario seen Hobbit sets pop up in Walmart? I've been looking for them on their websites and popped by last Saturday but they haven't been released here in London yet. Just wanna know so I can plan the next time I head there.
  12. Popcorn is yummy.
  13. Never should've benched James Jones. <_<

  14. It really depends on the set you're getting; me personally, I prefer The Hobbit as a whole cause it's Tolkien, LOTR, etc. The only Batman/DC Superheroes set I really want is the Bat vs. Bane Tumbler chase but other than that I've never really been into the theme. So yeah, on the whole go with The Hobbit.
  15. Just on a side note (haven't seen the movie yet), but does anyone else think Thorin as portrayed by Armitage is a little...young? In the Appendix in ROTK talking about the Dwarves, it says 'When Thráin was lost [Thorin] was ninety-five, a great dwarf of proud bearing.' The next paragraph then says that Thorin met with Gandalf leading to the events of The Hobbit, so that would make him 100-110 years old. I do realize Dwarves have a lifespan of up to 300 years, but it still throws me off a bit.
  16. And neither do Galadriel or Frode; New Line just put them there to boost popularity. It's what happens to all movie-literature adaptations, with the exception of none.
  17. Finished Top Gun which I borrowed from the public library; probably my 2nd favourite Cruise movie behind A Few Good Men.
  18. That helicopter looks really tempting to get. o_o

Yeah, I'm lucky to stick to Fairview whenever I get a chance to visit relatives in Toronto; closer to where most of them live in Markham and the neighbourhood on the other side of Steeles.
  20. Bought TDK Rises from Walmart last night and watched it with family, who seemed to like it a lot.
  21. Yeah, definitely not unexpected. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/texas-m-freshman-manziel-wins-042035101--ncaaf.html
  22. Attack on Weathertop or Attack of the Wargs (haven't decided yet), and probably something 20-30 dollars I'll pick up myself; likely a SW set.

Man, if I happen to be going to U of T next year I should totally apply for a job at one of those stores part-time, it'd be so much fun.
