  1. glad to introduce you all to my small handbrake system :P it seems to be very effective and simple to motorize :) hope you like it ^^
  2. Yeah i think i need em because theres the auto clutch that causes the car to be always in a neutral gear. ... Lets say i drive it into a slope its gonna crash 100% :D (and it might be funny lol)
  3. Hell yeah! the chassis is 90% done and im really happy with it, it's solid tidy and "small"...it doesnt have almost no useless parts :P i've also started working on the bodywork...i have the front of the car done and im quite happy with that but i'll leave the bodywork unrevealed till the end ^^ btw, the gearbox works really fine now even if the shfting is not soooooo precise (but it's enough anyway) the servo does its work pretty well and the overall speed is satisfying...now i just need to find a more elegant way to make brakes :D lol how much time im spending on this moc !!!
  4. i think i can make instructions for that piece :P it's not that hard to do ...it only requires scissors and the tool to make holes in belts (u can find that at the hardware store) ps: i won't sell instructions :D ill give em for free
  5. small custom piece :P do you like it or shall i remove it?
  6. i hope so....otherwise i have the yellow ones :)
  7. maybe restarting everythin from scratches has been a nice idea! everything is simpler and tidier now :) i've also changed the pins of the gearbox so gears are more precise now
  8. well im not sure yet....maybe i should just rebuild it with the same stuff but made better :P btw it will never have cool performance without RC buggy motors :P so let's say ill re- build it for the awesomeness XD (i've found a more compact way to build the sequential system ...i have to check if it works ^^
  9. yeah i know ....too late.... maybe i should just rebuild it differently....the problem is that all these functions are not increasing performances :P im not sure what im going to do....i can cut away functions or rebuild it differently trying to use less pieces... i really dont know :\
  10. ok so: the car turns fine, the gearbox works good (even if it requires some finetuning sometimes) and the brakes are almost done BUT the model is getting heavy and untidy and im not happy with it... so as it's so, after a week of work ill dismount it and remove the gearbox, the clutch and the brakes system :P mainly for a reason: the final gear ratio is 1:1 and i saw that the car doesn't stress that much starting with that...it means that it doesnt require a gearbox...if i decrease the weight it's gonna work even better... ill take detailed photos of the gearbox so you can build it if you want :) im a bit sick of adding weight to a vehicle that i wanted to be fast.... maybe i can just simplify it by using 2 gears removing clutch and brakes :)
  11. not really but i attached a provvisory wheel to the back of it and made it drive around a bit with every gear :P and it works....the third gear is 1:1 the gearbox is fine too it doesnt pop out of gears but i have to test with the full load and the full IR controls... tomorrow im gonna try to invent something to make the handbrake the simpler that i can....when i'll have all the 4 wheels attached that's gonna be time for a first official test :P i hope i won't disappoint your expectations :D
  12. :D three words? I love it! i really apreciate this scale of cars (mainly because is what i usually do lol) your bodywork is i really nice!
  13. once ill finish it, if it works i'll make em :D im trying to make everything in the tidiest way possible...its quite complicated but i'd say that it's done...i only need the brake :P
  14. i think this chassis could work also for other similar cars from the 70s
  15. gearbox, steering, and engine are ready and working fine :) now i just need the brake system on the rear axle and the chassis will be finally ready 606g of weight till now...
  16. ah i see what you mean! it seems to be strong enough to carry the weight on the front part luckly :P
  17. i can assure you the suspension is solid as a rock as it connects to the part of the chassis that holds the L motors :)...the chassis itself doesnt bend at all
  18. :D ok i got it! btw as you assumed it doesn't affect it too much because there's some room :) now i only need to make the rear axle with brakes and place the M motor for the gearbox ^^ edit: I was wondering: is a single lipo battery enough to power 2 L 1 servo and 2 M motors (obviusly not all of them togheter).....because otherwise i have 2 of them but the "cost" involved if someone wants to build it is gonna grow too much
  19. but isn't the "ackermann" given by the sliding system ? i mean, my sliding part staiyes parallel to the rest and doesn't move like this or am i missing something :P?
  20. you know what? im not sure this one is ackerman type....even because ackerman steering wasn't my intention lol
  21. hmmmm yeah that's the only place where i could put the steering system...it's been really a pain...but i think it should be okay ( i hope lol) effectively the outer wheel turns more than the inner one and it might be a problem, but there was no other way to make it because there's no space lol edit: no wait i think i can fix it....maybe...
  22. another step :P but i think im gonna change the attachment of the dashboard behind it and not in front of it done :) definitely better....and with this i reached 522g of weight....probably the final weight is gonna be around 1500g
  23. yeah i know, but i used them to fill these rubber parts in the clutch to avoid damaging them :) and added a 1mm gauge to the grey part on the central axle just to make everything more precise
  24. you just need to make it longer (for the part with the blue pins) and add another gear selector :)
