piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
no but that was only a try i just mounted the recivers roughly to test it :) they will be in the middle on top of the rc motors and the reciver will be included in the roof -

thankk you madoca :) i've found a smaller way to make it btw...i've tried having a ride with this chassis and i can say it's probably the most uncontrollable beast i've ever made lol as i thought at the beginning it's overpowered and i absolutely love it hahah need to tidy up the atachment between the chassis and the front axle but i will do it tomorrow :) -

[WIP] Lancia Stratos
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
So here's the front axle... i wanted to add kingpin inclination but this way is simpler the steering rack is upside down so i can attach it directly to the servo the second lipo battery will be placed right after the steering rack so there's space for interiors now i need to connect the front and rear axle and the chassis is done ^-^ -

really? that's awesome! can't wait to see your saxo :) -
Hello dear guys! As i promised i'm opening this thread to show you the process of building the moc you helped me choosing :) I don't like too much WIP threads because i'm never sure the project won't turn in a failure at the end ahah btw features: RC openable doors hood and trunk (hopefully as close as possible to the real one) front independent suspensions with a nice turning angle openable front lights with maybe LED lights tubolar chassis interiors so as you may assume by a quick look at this image, the scale will be really small 2 RC motors mean that this car will be overpowered lol....once finished i'd like to see if i can turn it from a 1:1 ratio to a 2:1 while keeping its drift abilities. I won't put rear suspensions as they wouldn't fit and actually there's no need to add em... I've checked the blueprints and the proportions between wheel diameter and axle lenght and they are perfect :P (how lucky) in between the 2 rc motors there will be one of the two lipo batteries...the second one will be placed in the front for a better weight distribution now i have to find a place to put the IR recivers there's no differential as the two motors will drive the wheels independently hope you like it and mainly i hope it will come good

[MOC] Baja Bug
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'd say now i like it....without all that crappy bodywork i made XD anyway i took these pictures to show you how the frame is made here's the solution for rear independent suspensions....this setup makes it really soft this hub works really nice as it gives a nice steering angle -

piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
yeah i wanted to make it that way but then i just realized that red could be so much better for the aviable pieces to do whatever shape you want :P -

[MOC] Baja Bug
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
ahaha no i didn't say that XD it's something worth sharing for the way i built it but it's not so nice imo if you guys want i can take some close ups for the wheel hubs i've used and the way i mounted the RC motors :) -

[MOC] Baja Bug
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
thank you guys :) yeah jerry but i don't remember his name...actually it was a great baja truck but was pretty heavy....tho it had great performances going downhill :D oh btw i'm uploading a short video just to show it drifting in a small space :P here's the link but you'll be able to see it in half an hour -
[MOC] Baja Bug
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
hmmm not really....i was really curious to try the 1:2 ratio on those wheels after i've seen that baja truck that guy made wich was epic... this one is 1kg lighter and it's really funny to drive eheh the rear suspension is really similar in what i've done with the polaris...that's a nice setup for rear suspensions -
hi there! so this is something i'm not going to publish on my blog as i don't like it a lot and it's not finished because i don't have time and will to make Octan stickers...it's quite ugly lol except from this it's a good model as it's 80% tubolar, with 2RC motors geared 1:2 capable of drifting and it has a really nice speed for its size i'll post a video one of these days so i can take it outside :) its weigh is 1kg g+ g- hope you like it because i don't XD

piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling

hmmm orange is pricey and i couldnt make the round shape for the front fenders... -
Hey guys! I want to make a wip for some mocs i have in mind, i will build em all soon or later but i don't know where to start... so here's my list: Lancia stratos - RWD, Red with gold rims and 49.5x20 wheels, probably powered by 1 or maybe 2 RC motors Aim - drift and speed Problems - 2RC motors and lipo batteries would probably force me not to build the interiors Suzuki samurai - AWD, Dark blue with soft top made of fabric with 62.4x20 wheels and white rims Aim - 4x4 with pendular axles Problems - can't choose between 1XL or two L motors Citroen mehari - RWD, Yellow with grey rims 62.4x20 wheels and gearbox Aim - good speed using RC motors with a gearbox Problems - due to proportions i won't probably be able to make it FWD or AWD....and i need to buy a lot of yellow pieces because i almost don't have any Suzuki escudo pikes peak version - RWD, white and blue with gopro livery, tubolar chassis, 2 RC motors and fiesta's wheels Aim - drift and speed Problems - i'll need to buy white pieces and the body will be pretty hard to do
