Here's everything I can think of for sets based on DC TV shows. I'll make another post for comic-based wishlists in the next few days. Replies and suggestions appreciated. Arrow - $80 Arrow: Duel of Nanda Parbat - Oliver Queen, Ras Al Ghul, Nyssa - $20 - a snowy mountain peak with a falling rocks play feature, and a sword rack. Arrow: Prison of Nanda Parbat - Black Canary, Felicity Smoak, Diggle, The Atom, Malcolm Merlyn, Assassin x2 - $60 - Underground prison attached to the chamber of the Lazarus Pit. I'm very unsure about suggesting this one as it has lots of important characters but no Arrow, Flash, Ras Al Ghul.... The Flash - $115 Flash: Speed Trap - Reverse Flash, Barry, Cisco, Detective Thawne - $25 - large round trap for Reverse Flash in Star Labs. These CW-based sets were all pretty hard to plan because there aren't many distinctive locations or vehicles, but lots of important characters. Flash: Battle at STAR Labs - The Flash, Reverse Flash, Firestorm, Alsa-Him - $30 - main room of Star Labs with an exterior facade and a smashed car. The Flash: Prison Truck Sabotage - Flash, Cisco, Captain Cold, Golden Glider, Deathbolt, Detective West - $60 - large prison truck (driven by Cisco) and motorcycle (for Cold and Golden Glider). Super Friends - $200 Super Friends: UCS Hall of Justice - Aquaman, Batman, Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Zan, Jayna, Gleek (monkey) - $80 - large Hall of Justice (with interior and exterior). Super Friends: UCS Hall of Doom - Bizarro, Black Manta, Braniac, Captain Cold, Cheetah, Giganta, Gorilla Grodd, Lex Luthor, Riddler, Scarecrow, Sinestro, Solomon Grundy, Toyman - $120 - large Hall of Doom with opening rood and interior, and swamp at base. Teen Titans Go - $173 Teen Titans Go: Robin's Redbird Cycle - Robin, Billy Numerous - $13 - Robin's motorcycle. Teen Titans Go: Attack of the Brain - Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, Brain, Monsieur Mallah - $40 - small Titans prison cell with breakable door and BRIAN mech. Teen Titans Go: Titans Tower Attack - Robin, Raven, Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy, Killer Moth - $60 - Titans Tower on small island base with giant Moth for Killer Moth. Teen Titans Go: Hive Five Bank Robbery - Beast Boy (gorilla bigfig), Starfire, Jinx, Gizmo, Mammoth (bigfig), Seemore - $60 - small modular bank with Cyborg's car Other Young Justice - Superboy, Miss Martian, Robin, Kid Flash, Artemis, Aqualad - $60 - Miss Martian's Bio-Ship, Superboy's sphere and wolf. Constantine: The Milhouse - Constantine, Chaz, Zed, Manny - $30 - small model (mostly exterior) of the Millhouse, and small model of Chaz's taxi. I doubt this would ever get made unless they brought the show back... Batman Beyond: Batmobile Chase - Batman Beyond, Bruce Wayne, [batman Beyond villain - probably one of the four which were in the LEGO Batman 3 "Batman of the Future" DLC] - $20 - Batman Beyond Style Batmobile with Ace the Bat Hound. I don't know much about Batman Beyond so I don't know who the most fitting villain for the set would be.

If they had a giant Doctor Who logo at the top of the booth like they've done with TMNT and Bionicle, people would see it and be interested, probably. That's a good point about them probably wanting to make it a big deal in the UK though. And yeah, Batman Vs Supernan (or Civil War) would make more sense, but that's what I say every year....and we've not had anything Marvel or DC yet.
-
I'm going to say the suggest the same thing I said in the Marvel thread: better to have actual sets in mind than just spouting minifigs.
-
Any chance for a New York Comic Con reveal? Barely a month away now. They're bound to release some set pictures there but it could just as easily be Angry Birds, Super Heroes or something else entirely.
-
Great thanks Yep they're all bigfigs in the game. I agree Kingpin is pushing it, but a simple tall mold wouldn't work either. He needs a new mold like Hagrid has. Although he is represented as almost like a bigfig in the comics, sometimes: http://cdn.hitfix.com/photos/5604082/kingpin_article_story_large.jpg Thank you sir

I'm loving this thread - I need one of these for DC, Doctor Who....

My first wishlist post here was several sets based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe - here are several set ideas based on the classic comix! Most of the costumes - and some of the models, even - could easily be translated straight from LEGO Marvel Superheroes. Spiderman Spiderman: Shocker bank robbery - Scarlet Spider, Shocker, Spiderman - $20 - Bank facade and Shocker's getaway motorcycle. Spiderman: The Lizard's Laboratory Rampage - Spiderman (battle-damaged), Doctor Curt Connors, The Lizard (bigfig) - $25 - Curt Connors' laboratory with lots of walls and things for the Lizard to break as play features. Fantastic Four Fantastic Four: The Coming of Galactus - Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman (visible), Human Torch (flame off), Silver Surfer, the Watcher - $40 - large brick built Galactus and his energy-siphoning machine; includes the Ultimate Nullifier. Fantastic Four: Skrull Invasion - Human Torch (flame on), the Thing (bigfig), Super Skrull, Skrull Soldier (x2) - $50 - top section of the Baxter Building with a Skrull Warship. Fantastic Four: Castle Doom - Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman (invisible), Human Torch (flame on), the Thing (bigfig), Doctor Doom, Doombot (x2) - $100 - Fantasticar and a large section of Doctor Doom's castle in Latveria. Thor Thor: Rainbow Bridge Combat - Thor, Heimdall, Loki - $20 - section of Rainbow Bridge. Yeah, we need a comic-style Loki. Thor: Attack of Surtur - Thor, Sif, Beta Ray Bill - $30 - Beta Ray Bill's small spacecraft and large brick-built Surtur with large sword. Thor: Battle for Asgard - Thor, Odin, Frost Giant x3, Ymir, Volstagg, Fandral, Hogun - $100 - large main castle of Asgard with frozen sections and breaking play features. Other Iron Man: Attack of the Crimson Dynamo - Iron Man, Anton Vanko - $13 - Crimson Dynamo's Mech Suit and piece of wreckage. Captain Mar-Vell vs the Kree Sentry - Captain Mar-Vell, Kree Soldier (x2) - $20 - A brick-built Kree sentry with a small two-man spacecraft (for the Kree Soldiers). I'm guessing most people who aren't die-hard comic fans won't know who Mar-Vell is so it's unlikely this would ever get made, but I've always loved the character and the classic Kree Sentries looks pretty dang cool: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj134/gerry123_2008/hidden%20treasures%20comx/214_zps0550eaa9.jpg Captain America World War II Battles - Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Baron Zemo - $20 - Baron Zemo's military rocket, Captain America and Bucky's motorcycles. Ghost Rider Streetway Skirmish - Hobgoblin, Jack O'Lantern, Ghost Rider - $20 - Ghost Rider's motorcycle, Hobgoblin's Glider, Jack O'Lantern's flight platform, road signs and barrier. I was tempted to add a building or something but I think Ghost Rider's cycle (as seen in LMS) is large enough to highlight it's own set (although I threw in a few details to give the set a roadway setting. Daredevil: Kingpin's Office Attack - Daredevil, [ally of Daredevil, possibly Elektra, Spiderman or Black Cat], Kingpin (bigfig) - $25 - large section of Kingpin's Office in Fisk Tower with various traps in place around Kingpin. I don't know enough about any of Daredevil's major costumed allies to judge who would belong in this set. This one was obviously inspired by Nexus' similar suggestion earlier in the thread. AIM Takedown in the Savage Land - Hawkeye, Black Widow, AIM Agent (x3), Modok - $50 - a small jet for Hawkeye and Black Widow and a medium sized section of an AIM base with a laboratory and a section for Modok to stand, with a set of anti-air flick missiles; also includes a velociraptor and a pterodactyl to represent the location. Attack on the X-Mansion - Magneto, Mystique, Pyro, Juggernaut (bigfig), Professor X, Cyclops, Iceman, Collosus (bigfig), Beast, Angel - $120 - large section of the X-mansion with many play features such as breakdown walls for Juggernaut and Collosus, and a catapult/launcher for Angel. I know, it's a big minifigure count. I think this is the X-men set we deserve. Racers Thor Vs Loki Iron Man Vs The Mandarin Cyclops Vs Magneto Wolverine Vs Sabretooth Mr Fantastic Vs Doctor Doom

Is this basically a mirror to the Marvel Wishlist thread? Or is it speculation based on rumor and other info?

It's not meant as a Thor origin set, just a single set based on the first Thor film (which admittedly is an origin film). I want them as minifigs too, I gave my reason for not including them in my post. And that's fair enough; I don't know much about Daredevil beyond the Netflix show and Born Again but she looks like a neat character.

Yes you can.

I like the idea that legofreak86 had, but I'll modify it for my initial wishlist, one set for each phase one film. 1. Iron Man Origins - Tony Stark, Yinsen, Iron Man Mark I, Ten Rings thug - $25 - Tony Stark's workspace with the various materials and two walls, with a break-down door and a small jeep for the henchman (not quite accurate to my memory, but provides a vehicle to bump up part count a bit - plus military things are popular). It was a toss-up between this and some kind of giant Iron Monger set but I think this is more feasible and Iron man Mark I is just as cool! 2. The Incredible Hulk Harlem Showdown - Hulk, Abomination, General Ross, Betty Ross - $50 - midsized building facade (with breaking play features) on a small road baseplate with printed cracks on the street; and General Ross' army helicopter. This was a pretty obvious choice for this movie, Abomination would be the most sought after part of this whole movie (although Hulk vs a tank would also be pretty cool). Hopefully 2 bigfigs will fit in a $50 set (listen to me saying "will"....I need to acknowledge the fact that none of these will probably ever happen :) 3. Iron Man Vs Whiplash - Tony Stark (racing outfit), Whiplash, Iron Man Mark V - $20 - Tony Starks racecar (with splitting in half function) and the fence along the side of the track, as well as the Mark V suitcase. 4. Thor Vs the Destroyer - Thor, Jane Foster - $15 - brick built version of the Destroyer, as seen in LEGO Marvel Superheroes. This was possibly the hardest to pick only one set for as there are just so many cool parts of the movie that people might want, from the rainbow bridge to frost giants! I thought about throwing in Sif and the Warriors Three to this set but then I'd have needed something else to balance the part count with the minifig count, and nothing else in this scene was nearly as interesting or playable as a poseable Destroyer so it would all just seem supplemental. 5. Captain America and the Howling Commandos - Captain America (World War II), Peggy Carter, Dum Dum Dugan, Bucky Barnes - $15 - military jeep with room for at least a few of the set's minifigures. If you question this many minifigs in a licensed set of this size, I'll remind you of this set: http://brickset.com/...lry-Builder-Set which was even cheaper than what I'm suggesting and had just as many minifigures and a horse! The idea for this set started out as a battle pack but Cap pretty much only works with named characters.... 6. Chitauri Leviathan - Thor (microfig), Iron Man (microfig), Hulk (microfig), Loki (microfig), Black Widow (microfig) Chitauri (microfig, several) - $?? - Chitauri leviathan from the first Avengers film at a similar scale to the Avengers Helicarrier set, with micro Chitauri fliers alongside it with riders such as Chitauri soldiers, Loki, or Black Widow. I'm kinda breaking my own rules by not including a price but I have no idea what this might cost, really. Half the reason I want this set is to have giant flying avengers ship warfare the full main cast of the Avengers as microfigs. Bonus round! 7. Agents of SHIELD: Lola - Phil Coulson, Skye/Daisy, Deathlok - $20 - Lola the car (with rotating drive/flight wheels), at roughly the size of the Delorean Time Machine set. Technically AoS is not Phase 1 but this deserves to be a set anyway.

If I may say so: most of these comments are fairly pointless, IMNSHO. A lot of people complain in the rumor threads that wishlists make the threads unreadable and while I agree, I also agree that they deserve their own thread. However, if we're going to do that, we should do it right. I'd recommend going as formal as possible. Giving a detailed outline of what should be in a set, a list of minifigures, and a price, is a lot more interesting to read than "I want [existing minifigure #3]", and it's a lot more potentially helpful than a list of random minifigs (unless you're requesting promofigures). I hope I don't come off too angry and picky, I just worry that wishlists could make this thread unreadable as well. "Sets based on [upcoming movie #5]" aren't annoying either, because it also gives people something to talk about beyond "yeah that's a good idea". I'll add some set lists in a little while but I wanted to make this a separate comment.
-
That would be ironic if it does turn out to be based on Time of the Doctor. I am disappointed. I was looking forward to today for this. Ah, whatever, next few weeks it's bound to be released or leaked.
-
Yeah I know; I'm not posting it as a rumor, that was meant as a reply to people saying that the set would be small if it was the same as the original project.
-
I haven't read everything in this thread so I don't know if it's already been discussed, but I heard rumors a while back that it would be based off of Time of the Doctor, so, a Tardis interior that folds into an exterior, which would come with 11, 12, Clara, a Weeping Angel, and two Daleks. That could easily be as big as the Big Bang Theory set and nearly as many figs if you include Daleks.

CM4Sci said that reveals are usually around 10 central, it's almost 11 now ;(

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
ultron32 replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow, Hyperion? That's obscure, even for me. -
Racers set is two small racecars with 1x2 stud area to attach minifig torsos. Each set is probably a hero and a villain - think Batman and the Joker. This is speculation based on what Just2Good said and the name of the line.

Licensed Sets LEGO Missed the Ball On/Never Made
ultron32 replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
I haven't read every comment in this thread so I might be repeating some things. The biggest Lego letdown for me, ever, was the Ben 10 theme. I lived and breathed that show when I was a kid so seeing that it was a bunch of bonkles and not at the least minifig scale was really disappointing - I hear the show is getting a reboot next year so maybe there's a chance for it to come back with the CMF series it deserves. A few other disappointments: TDKR Tumbler, Minecraft (pretty much everything after the first set), the new Spiderman set with Rhino, Iron Man 3 (every set besides the large one) Sets that should have been: Balrog, at least another full wave of large LotR sets. Also tie-ins for Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, etc. -
8Brick Mario, I'm just saying what the phrase means. If what you're saying is true he should have said more than THE name :P Psquidhsjxldhdjdjdj, yeah that seems to vague given how many nostalgic Themes they are, and considering how sure of the set they seemed.

By the way, Sir Gareth and Sci, you seem to think it's a Ghostbusters set, did something in Justin's message tip you to that or do you know? And can you tell us what it is?!

You guys are reading way too much into this, especially the guy with the Joker icon whose name is too long for me to write down. More than a name means what it says. That means that the Batcave is not just a name, which means the set is a Batcave. That's all the phrase means. If J2G meant anything more by it he worded it wrong :P
