Mystery Machine is the only set I own so far but here's my two cents. The mystery plane and the mystery boat are completely unnecessary builds for anyone except kids, pretty much. The Horseman is neat but his head, the best part, is in other sets. The mummy has a fairly boring build, and extremely boring minifigs: anyone who's been collecting for a few years has a mummy by now, and anyone who's bought even one Scooby Doo set already has Scooby and Shaggy. The Lighthouse is a neat build and the minifigures of the set are pretty great. Same with the mansion. The mystery machine, lastly, is dang near perfect. Yeah I would have preferred the whole gang to fit and to cut out all that tech in the back (plus I'd have used an opening roof, not an opening back) and the stickers are really unfortunate, but it still should be everyone's favorite model of the line and with a good set of minifigs as well. The plane and the mummy set are the only two I plan to skip. I will have enough of Shaggy and Scooby by the time I have the other three sets and neither set has a memorable model or villain.

Hmm, I wonder if this will be an annual thing? A TRU polybag with a [nearly] exclusive figure and a tiny model and a sticker sheet. Rocket last year and Hulk this year. It would make up for DC getting a spot in those Target cubes :P

I'd prefer if they cut the interior and made it like $10. I mean if you put the Tardis in a display case you won't see the interior anyway.

I would be wholly unsurprised if Marvel wants no spoilers on Spiderman's role before the film. If he comes out it may probably be in a polybag or the exclusive set that comes out later.

Zemo will probably be in a set, if I had to guess I'd say MCU Spiderman would be a promo figure (like Winter Soldier and minifig Hulk each were originally), and then an updated version will come out whenever that Spiderman movie is released

Calling it now. In 2012 LEGO's New York Comic Con booth was all about announcning TMNT. Last year it was all about Bionicle. This year, I'd bet, it will be about Ghostbusters.

It seems the time may have passed but you never know, it could get revealed right before the premiere. It's a long shot but I can hope, right?

That's a good point. They could probably bring the price down to $20 if they left out the back wall all together, I mean you're only going to see three sides if you put it in a display case right? /saracasm Everyone who's replied to you has disagreed with you. I don't mean any offense by that statement, I'm just saying that it proves that there is in fact demand for an interior, and people would be angry if there wasn't one. Adults tend not to 'play' with LEGO sets (more often than not) but they can still love to look at the interior (not to mention the hordes of brick photographers, a completely separate subset of the community, who will love to take pictures of famous scenes in the firehouse). Plus not everyone uses cabinets, I just put my bigs sets on shelves, which I believe many others do as well. Anyway, I'm excited by this news. It's a huge price but it's also a great price-per-part ratio, if 10 cents per part is the golden ratio we're getting upwards of 1000 parts free. I can't see them making the firehouse that big, so I would be surprised if this does not include Stay Puft as well.

My gosh, I hope it does turn out to be Adventure Time.

Usually the giveaway at NYCC is a tie-in to the reveal....wonder if we might get some kind of Doctor Who minifig, if that is indeed what they reveal? Not sure who would be most fitting, if it doesn't become a full theme 10 would make the most sense, if it does, probably 1 or 4.

Those sound like reasonable guesses - I wouldn't be wholly surprised if it was Saturday morning either (or almost any other day this week after tomorrow, lol)

For the people saying that Harry Potter would probably be revived if this theme happens, because it happened with Lord of the Rings: the detail you're missing is that there had never been any middle earth sets. Harry Potter has already been a theme twice, and has already been discontinued twice, once fairly recently. If there are Fantastic Beasts sets, I doubt there would be more than maybe some Harry Potter Dimensions Packs.

Thanks J2G as always. I'm curious how your sources work....they tell you things for you to reveal, but half the time you can only give hints or snippets of information? Or is it your choice not to reveal things all at once? It seems like a peculiar deal, however it works, especially since you don't post the info on to your Youtube channel, making you barely more qualified than anybody else :P

Yeah sure it's cool to see a hint and think about it but I don't need to see a few dozen theories on what it means if nearly all of them are doubles and/or untrue. Thank you Justin very much! Even if Doomsday is in the movie, Warner Brothers probably wouldn't want any toy companies to spoil that fact until after the movie comes out. Not sure what you mean by "LEGO always cheaps out on goons." When goons are well made I always want lots of them, like the 2012 Joker Henchman, 2014 Hydra Agent, and 2015 SHIELD Agent. LEGO would never make two Batcaves in one year, even if they will be very different. They'd be competing with themselves. Plus pretty much every set is Batman-themed already. You're much more likely to get a DCCU Batcave when that "The Batman" movie comes out. You don't know that.

Thanks :) Yeah that's a fair point - many of the more distinct locations are still pretty plain to people who don't watch the show. I think if they look cool, many of them could work though (and I want 9, 10 and 11!) That's a pretty neat idea, but with the last line you broke Jared's heart

10 is popular but 11 is popular too. 10 is one of the most fun to watch but 9 and 11 are tied for my favorite Doctor. I wouldn't have expected for a minute that the Ideas set would not include the 12th Doctor, which is why I think it was good of LEGO to base it on Time of the Doctor instead of just "the twelfth Doctor's Tardis" so that they can give us two doctors instead of just Capaldi.

Most of the ones that people pay credence to [more than once] are the ones proven to have real information. But yes I agree the riddles get us virtually nowhere.

I've been having a lot of fun lately in the super heroes 'wishlists' threads started by Sir Gareth recently, I thought I'd start one for Doctor Who. We don't know that Doctor Who will become a full theme after the initial Ideas set but it seems very likely at this point. Given that we know LEGO has the license at least for Dimensions as well. I'll kick off the thread with my own ideal set list: As I see it there are not so many distinctive locations and vehicles in Doctor Who, besides the Tardis of course, but there are many interesting characters, so I've included in my suggested line a collectable minifigure series. I figure classic who isn't marketable for LEGO to put anything more than the Doctor and Sarah Jane in the CMF line, so no classic sets here. Another note: ideally each character would be wearing whatever outfit they were in the scene the set is based on. I've listed them in the order that the episodes premiered. 9: Dalek - 9th Doctor, Rose, Henry Van Statten - $20 - a playset with a Dalek which pursues Rose up a stairway, towards a shielded area where the Doctor and Van Statten wait. 9: Father's Day - 9th Doctor, Rose, Pete Tyler, Jackie Tyler, driver - $40 - section of church building with a time reaper, as well as a small car for the driver. 9: The Parting of the Ways - 9th Doctor, Rose (heart of the Tardis), Captain Jack Harkness - $20 - Dalek Emperor and a few Daleks. 10: The Girl in the Fireplace - 10th Doctor, Rose, Mickey, Madame De Pompadour, Clockwork marionette (x2) - $60 - Large playset with French ballroom and breakable mirror with spaceship interior on the other side; includes horse. 10: The Runaway Bride - 10th Doctor, Donna, Santa Robot - $20 - small piece of highway with a car and the Tardis (exterior). I realize I use the $20/3 figure format a lot but I can't help it, perfect format and good price. 10: The Next Doctor - 10th Doctor, "Next" Doctor, Cyberman (x3) - $50 - giant brick-built Cyberman, "Tardis" (hot air balloon). 11: The Pandorica Opens - 11th Doctor, Amy, Rory (Roman), River Song - $30 - Stonehenge with trap door with staircase beneath and opening Pandorica and Cyberman head. 11: The Wedding of River Song - 11th Doctor, River Song, Rory, Amy, Madame Kovarian, Silence (x2) - $60 - Silence aquatic prison pods and large section of full building. 11: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship - 11th Doctor, Amy, Rory, Nefertiti, Riddell, Brian Williams - $60 - Spaceship deck with triceratops and the two robots. 11: The Angels Take Manhattan - 11th Doctor, Amy, Rory, River, Weeping Angel (x4) - $100 - simple model of the angel's hotel and giant brick built Angel statue of liberty. 11: Nightmare in Silver - Mr Clever, Clara - $13 - castle room with chess board on table. 11: Day of the Doctor - Osgood, Zygon (x2) - $13 - section of the undergallery. LEGO Ideas: Time of the Doctor - 11th Doctor, 12th Doctor, Clara, Seeping Angel - $60 - Tardis interior with attached exterior, with two daleks. This is based on the rumor of what the Ideas set is. 12: Robot of Sherwood - 12th Doctor, Clara, Robin Hood - $20 - forest area with fallen tree over river, and the Tardis. 12: Mummy on the Orient Express - 12th Doctor, Foretold, Perkins, Quell, Emile Moorhouse - $40 - two cars from the orient express (front car and laboratory). Doctor Who: Dalek Battle Pack - Human Dalek - $13 - includes one of each different (modern) Dalek color. This is here so that no one has to spend $4 on a dalek in the CMF series below. Doctor Who: Collectable Minifigures - $4 - this could include all classic doctors and variant costumes for modern doctors, companions, and villains (so as not to include any which would already be in the sets). Maybe a classic villain or companion or two, as well, like the classic Cybermen, which are still pretty cool for fans of the modern show. What do you think? leave your own wishlist below.... :)

An Eighth Doctor seems very unlikely unless they make either a Collectable Minifigure Series or a set with all 13, somehow. Same with all other classic Doctors except maybe the 1st or 4th.
