  1. And the Pirates Advent Calendar finally hit Shop@Home. Happy holidays on the high seas! Enjoy 24 days of fun surprises with the 2009 LEGO
  2. "Roma,3 set. 4. I had the chance to buy two complete lots of the December (?) Daily Mirror promo and some spare on eBay. Too bad this is SW so price will go sky high.
  5. Yes, there is. Instructions show that you have to split the extinguisher into the two parts it's made of.
  6. It says what I wrote before the picture.
  7. Peeron says that those mudguards have always been around; yet, in the last two years, Lego seems to re-discover old pieces.
  8. Doctor's car and Fireman's car are back. The two other sets aren't.
  9. The fireman's car reminds me of a milkman's car. While, the steamroller rocks!
  10. I'd say: 1) A bicycle and motorbike shop. An updated version of the set pcitured below, with the classic bicycle (it would be great to have some colors and not just red!), trikes (I don't like them that much, but if they are still around, why not?) and modern bikes like the CG promo and the new Indy bike. 2) A place where minifigs could eat, something like this: 3) A small house, like those that come out each year in the Creator theme, obviously including minifigs, just like it used to be: All pics are link to Brickset pages. And, please, no da*n exclusives. I want these sets available everywhere so I can choose to buy them where the price is lower.
  11. I owned this set; I spent so many times unbuilding and rebuilding it that I didn't even need instructions! I digged the phones and the sink, and as odd as the motorbike was, it's the best we could hope for back in those days. Instructions have a diffeent hairpiece compraed to the one that's actually in the set. As much as I would have to loved to own 6398 or 6598, I have to rate this set Outstanding!
  12. I can't, I don't have DTT yet. I hope someone will.
  13. That could probably happen in 2011, I think it's too late for Lego to design set for the upcoming year. And honestly, I can live without licensed sets, but it seems I'm one of the few.
  14. I didn't want to open a new topic so I post it here: Italian DTT channel "Boing" will air unpublished Power miners movies from September 6th to October 3rd. The Italian catalog also tells users about our own nationl PM site which should include video interviews to set designers, but I can't find them. Click to enlarge:
  15. Found on a French forum:
  16. Classic space to me is everything commonly known as "space", and that's before Futuron came out. Therefore I voted 1978-1987, and that's what I meant in the other topic.
  17. How come lego has such short release times of their sets? I guess, they think if a set doesn't sell now it won't sell next month or six months from now. And what does S@H stand for? Shop@Home. Back on topic: today (September 1st), a friend of mine found the 2009 June-December Italian catalog. In Switzerland. Sets that Italy will miss: (a '*' means this set isn't available to Italy even on S@H). Space Police III: 8399 K-9 Bot, 8400 Space speeder, 5972 Space truck getaway*. City: 7747 Wind turbine transport. Agents: The only 2008 sets still in the catalog is 8635 Mobile control center. That probably means "grab the old sets while you can." Star wars: 7754 Home one blah blah blah It did not make the catalog, but it hit selected shops! Just like 2008, there are tiny pics of both Advent calendars. It would be nice to actually find them in Italian shops, which hardly happened last year.
  18. A few more words to make myself clearer: to me, Ice planet was another good theme, Spyrius wasn't. I still haven't made up my mind yet on Unitron, and Exploriens was nearly as good as IP2002.
  19. Space has been getting worst and worster. Classic space was great, Futuron maybe even better. Blacktron was great, BT 2, M-tron and SP1&2 were good and then everything went sliding a bit down until Exploriens came out. Life on Mars was not so good, Mars Mission was a bit better thanks to the colour scheme, SPIII to me is BY FAR the worst space theme ever.
  20. Well, they say FIA is investigating Singapore 2008 GP, claiming that Nelsinho Piquet crashed his car to have the Safety car coming in and Alonso winning the race, so maybe 10 months from now they'll decide Kimi's behaviour was unfair and name Fisichella as winner of the Belgium G.P.
  21. To the best of my knoledge, the only 2009 Pirates sets still to come out is the Advent calendar. We have seen (leaked) pics fory every other Autumn/winter set since April, I think, and most of them are already out. And, when Amazon previewed 2010 sets, there were no Pirates. That will suggest the next wave will come out in June or September. Of course, I might be wrong.

City Advent calendar available at Legoland California. Read more here. Edit: 3 pics from Walmart site
  23. Files are public after they are moderated; that may take a few hours or a couple of days. It's not up to you, it's up to the brickshelf moderation team. But each file can be deeplinked or hotlinked as soon as you upload it.
  24. Shop@Home link. It looks like "figs" are glued (they are pre-built, that's waht makes me guess). As for this pic: is there any pun intended?
  25. That's a promo set from 2007 for airlines. Brickset link.
