Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
JeanGreyForever replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The wash basin comes to mind since there's a whole song featuring that. Luckily that's an easy make. I was looking up racoons as well. The friends one is way too cartoony. The baby Rocket Raccoon seems like it would fit in better and it's also a more accurate color being brown. Only thing is it doesn't have a white/light gray face like the ones from the movie. It's too bad we didn't get Meeko with Pocahontas. I agree, I wish they had included that. Especially since the staircase in the movie isn't just ornamental but has an entire scene set on the stairs as the dwarfs are afraid of going up to see the "monster" sleeping in their beds. I've noticed Lego doesn't include staircases as often now in their playsets, which is a pity, since it takes away from the dollhouse experience. The Up house has the same problem with no stairs. -

There's a brown squirrel as well. It's neat that they remembered the spider to use for the empty attic space. It doesn't look like there was room to feature all seven beds though which is a shame. Also is it just me or is the dining table right in front of the door which seems like odd placement? I do like that the fireplace will use a light-up brick. I'm curious what's in the room, behind the window and Doc inspecting jewels, featuring Snow White and Bashful. Maybe the sink or kitchen area where Snow White bakes a pie. Or maybe Grumpy's piano is set up there since it looks like Snow White and Bashful could be dancing like in The Silly Song. -

I know people were happy that the Up house was smaller and more affordable, and while that was part of its charm, I have to admit I would have preferred a larger, more expensive version just because the Up house we did get felt incomplete. It wasn't just the lack of Ellie or Kevin (or even child versions of Carl and Ellie), but the fact that so many important parts of the house were missing. Ellie's chair is so significant, especially considering the last scene of the movie, but it was omitted entirely. The mailbox lacked the handprints. Even the staircase with the stair lift that Carl uses to get up and down everyday was something I was expecting. And that's not even mentioning all the extra balloons people wanted. So I'm glad with the Snow White cottage, that we're getting one definitive version rather than a scaled down version which would have left only hopes or recriminations for a more complete set later in the future. Based on how discounted the clamshell set is, I'm sure Lego is seeing that it was a set that didn't pay off. I'm still guessing that wasn't Lego's call as much as Disney's. I know the Up house was a bestseller (and got a lot of attention online as well) and I think the Winnie the Pooh and Villain Icons sets were too, so I'm expecting the cottage to be as well received as those sets. My guess is that the moment they decided to include the coffin, they had to include Prince Florian. The coffin scene doesn't really work without him. It probably also helps that both the prince and witch are currently still being produced for sets on shelves so it was easy enough to throw them in there without having to rely on new molds like with the dwarfs. Maybe the Huntsman can show up in a future CMF series. Perhaps with Snow White in her rags. If they ever did a Villains Icons set but with the henchmen of the main villains (like Mr. Smee, Horace and Jasper, LeFou, the King of Hearts, etc.) they could include him there. -

That makes sense. The two Simbas confused me as well. This year is the anniversary for The Lion King and Sleeping Beauty so that might explain the extra focus on both films getting multiple sets each. -

Isn't the Maleficent set being reported with a much smaller piece count according to several leakers? -

I think for most people, including the witch and prince will be wins even for those of us who already have them. For Belle, I'm still hoping she'll pop up in that Target contest winner set. Once they make a minifig of her once, it'll be more likely they can reuse that for a BATB set. I see a bluebird, two white doves, a white rabbit, a gray squirrel, and a yellow butterfly. In the movie she has way more animal friends like deer, chipmunks, raccoons, quails, and a tortoise but the animals we've gotten are a pretty good number. If anyone has Bambi, he can be used for one of the deer. The tortoise would be the main addition I'd like to see. I don't see that happening as long as there's a castle set out on shelves right now. The original Disney castle was available for 7 years I think. I know I would have definitely purchased another castle set if it was the Sleeping Beauty castle whether it was the original Disneyland castle or the Disneyland Paris one. -

This set is everything I could have hoped for and more. I love the addition of the trees and forest animals which are placed so organically as part of the cottage, really making it feel like it's straight out of a storybook. This will go perfect next to Winnie the Pooh's house in the 100 Acre Wood. I knew the wishing well was coming but I'm ecstatic to see the glass coffin as well. The wishing well should have had light pink or white flowers though since it's supposed to be covered with apple blossoms. The lavender colored flowers are a strange design choice. The witch and prince are nice additions as well although not a must have for me since I already have those minifigs. In fact, I wish I hadn't BLed the Snow White and prince minifigs after all, both of whom I wish had been featured here in more movie accurate looks and colors. I'm very excited to see the interior of the cottage. I hope they're able to include the staircase leading to all seven beds. Plus all the instruments the dwarfs use to play music, including Grumpy's piano. A kitchen with window for Snow White to bake her gooseberry pie with and the sink with the pump. I wonder if a wash basin, which the dwarfs use to wash up before supper, might be included as well as outside the cottage as a separate part. Color-wise, Doc's hat should be more of a golden color than beige/brown. Same with Sneezy and Happy's hats although at least those are yellow gold. Also, looking more closely at the blurry box art, she's popping her head out from behind the cottage next to the wishing well. You can see her holding the red apple. -

She's included in the catalog pic that also features the Stitch set. She's mostly cut off but you can see a little of her standing in front of the wishing well. -

Colossus, Magik, Havok, and Longshot have popped up in promo art for X-Men '97 so I wonder if there's a chance we might see some of them in the X-Mansion set. -

The Headless Horseman would be a very easy MOC figure. You would just need a plain black torso and legs. Dr. Strange's cape could work or a fabric cape and collar. Then a black horse, sword, and flaming pumpkin accessory from Green Goblin to act as the head. -

That is exciting news. Maybe whenever the Disney CMF Series 4 comes out years from now, they'll make a special effort to include Quasimodo and Esmeralda. Hopefully with a Djali to go with Esmeralda. A CMF series seems like the best way to get them unless Lego makes another 90s nostalgia type set like the Villain Icons set. -

It's nice to see depictions of movies that either won't ever get minifigs, like Tarzan and Song of the South, or most likely won't ever get minifigs like Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Three Little Pigs. The Bashful Lego is making is actually more movie accurate than the artist's. His beard isn't long enough in the gallery. Seeing some of the Pixar characters like Flik, Merida and Bing Bong reminds me that there were lots of Pixar minifigs in the Incredibles video game which never got physical representations. I would have loved to have also seen Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl in their Golden Age superhero suits or Elastigirl in her new silver/gray one. Or the Incredibles family in civilian clothes. -

His colors are accurate so I'm pleased about that. I'm also wondering if all the dwarfs will have alternate faces or just Dopey. For example, I'd like to see Sneezy have an alternate face where he's sneezing, Doc have an angry alternate face, and Grumpy have one where he's actually not grumpy. -

Stan Shunpike is the conductor who wears purple. I think you mean Ernie Prang, the driver, who is bald. Good catch because that bald hairpiece could work for all of the dwarfs without their hats minus Dopey. Hopefully it was just another dwarf's hat like you said. Happy's hat color is closer to what's pictured on Grumpy right now but his hat is also supposed to stick up. All the dwarfs have hats that point upwards except for Grumpy, Sleepy, and Sneezy. I think it's more likely they just didn't bother with the colors like the way Prince Florian's hair was reddish brown instead of dark brown. -

Exabricks has it on his IG stories. He's also confirmed that the Snow White featured in the set will be the exact same one as the previous minifigure which is what I was expecting although also disappointing. I was hoping for a more movie accurate Snow White like your profile pic. The tendency with the Snow White minfigs (between Snow White, the prince, and now Grumpy) seems to be to use brighter, lighter colors. -

Grumpy and Dopey both look great. But Grumpy's hat should have been a darker brown, like his legs. -

Deadpool is supposed to appear in one of the future MCU movies after Deadpool 3, namely Secret Wars, so even if they skip him this year, I'm sure we'll get him in a future MCU set. -

Thanks everyone for confirming that. The Lion King has its 30th Anniversary this year which may explain the focused attention on it with two sets. I was hoping this larger set might turn out to be a Pride Rock set with animal figures of the main characters. Ever since we got Dumbo and Bambi, I was hoping we could get Simba, Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, etc. Maybe a Rafiki minifigure too since he's the only character who could probably get away with an actual minifig. But since this is the Simba figure, a larger set like Pride Rock is out of the question for now. -

I imagine most of those are minidoll sets. 43247 is the most intriguing with it's high piece count. Curious as to what set that could be. -

Dopey looks cute. It's definitely an alternate face because he's got a kiss from Snow White near his forehead. I can see why they didn't give him the blue legs but I wonder if they considered giving him a green cloth piece to represent his robes over blue legs? But I guess they didn't do that for Sorcerer Mickey either. Excited to see the rest of the dwarfs. Hope they all are color accurate to the film like Dopey is (but he has the most recognizable colors too). Hoping the Snow White included isn't just the previous minifigure reused but a new one with more accurate colors to the movie and no ridiculous sparkles. A navy blue torso and gold line down the middle with the yellow skirt being properly printed on and not discolored from light on dark. -

Hela doesn't wear her headdress for long stretches of the movie. I can't remember if in the final battle she's wearing the headdress the whole time or not but it could be an option to feature her with just her hair. Good point. I'm hoping it's the final battle too which I imagine is better known and would sell more. And you're also right that even if it's the first battle, that wouldn't necessarily stop Lego from including other characters. I can't imagine Ragnarok will continue to get a whole lot more sets, so hopefully Lego uses this opportunity to bring back Hela rather than wait for a future set. -

The constant reboots of the Hogwarts Castle make it hard to get invested in every new iteration. This new one may be marked as the most complete and detailed Hogwarts but I'll believe it when I see it. There's nothing about the Owlery or Boathouse so far which makes me think these sets are representing the most magnificent Hogwarts yet. As standalone sets, they're fine but pretty simple and nothing spectacular. -

Has Hela been confirmed for the Surtur set or is it just speculation that she may be included alongside Thor and the fire demon?
