  1. Brilliant - and not only that: this seems to be historically correct!
  2. Very fine, very fine. Could actually add some life to many landbased MOCs.
  3. I see your island is making progress - looks fantastic so far!
  4. That is a fine ship with an excellent figurehead. I like the overall shape and colour scheme!
  5. Thanks. Let's see how this story will continue. I agree Thanks! That is supposed to be snow covered rock.
  6. Fine build. Does not look too good for the poor messenger...
  7. Strange ship , great characters - and great gallions! And those lanterns give it a nice touch.
  8. Ah, the story continues. And I keep liking it! Great job with the facial expressions and the overall tone of the pictures.
  9. Thanks for noticing the footsteps So much praise - I am flattered.
  10. Fine scene - great characters!
  11. ship, ship, hooray!
  12. Thanks - wintry praise from your side is especially valued! Very kind of you - please keep up this opinion until it is time to vote .. pictures slowly get better. Kabel's comments have helped me a lot to improve.
  13. Excellent - and soooooooooooooooooo classic!
  14. Feel free to use it for the Council. Thanks! No, at least "not this time". The monkey is turning away, saddened. He is just holding a crayon as he is scribbling instructions for Alberto da Pontelli. Ok, thanks - still a bad MRCA outcome...
  15. Thanks - it seems to have worked out. I strongly hope that the lonely messenger will make it. He's my GoH sigfig... The one object attached to the "starry backdrop" is meant to be a cloud. It is grey and black on the "underbelly" (just as I think I cloud would be in a moonlit night). Ah, Captain Mark Dee is back. I myself took some absence from GoH, so it was high time to come back with something nice. How did I light this? Well, I had to darken the pictures in the post-production phase, just like they did the night scenes in the movies And then some strange effects started to appear which I dediced to keep. Take a look on flickr. Thanks - that makes me happy! Great responses for a Thursday-evening-post Working on it...
  16. The moonlit night was cold and icy. His horse had been shot underneath him and so he was carrying on through the snowy night. But wait: there was a shadow before him, surely one of his enemies. He readied his double-axe, preparing for battle. He did not see the other warrior, standing on higher ground... Some more shots to illustrate the scene: This picture gives a better view of the footsteps in the snow: C&C welcome! ...................................................................................................................................................................... It has occurred to me that I need to depict the late horse too. However, this seems to kill the mood of the scene...
  17. Ah, you mean that the movie was made in 1968... Thanks I probably should add some monkey-spacecraft to show how they got there. (But they don't seem to need space suits anyway, so it is all probably done by magic) Fine addition - thanks. Only problem: now everybody sees the differences between my scene and the original
  18. Ok, I get where you're coming from. To mimic how things look like on the moon I went for strong contrasts and bright lights (+ shadows). So the baseplates are reflecting the light, but they are still standard "grey".
  19. Yepp - well maybe there is a new setting somewhere which I have not found. But oftentimes I am in the middle of replying to a post when the system tells me that I am not logged on and cannot comment as a "guest"...
  20. Thinking about what to contribute to Challenge V of GoH...

  21. Happy times seem to be over for Eslandola. And due to the recent attacks by Mardier the mood of the members of the Eslandolean Council has changed drastically: Something must be done. Way back in happier times, even a painting of the Council had been comissioned: C&C welcome.
