Great attempt at the recreation, I would have to say this is nice and simple (by that I mean not over complicated) From the others I have seen, I like this one most for some reason, I can't put my finger on why. Perhaps it is the great photography, combined with your great front guns. Regards Cpt. PB

I came here expecting some picture where you had to find a brick, kind of like "where's wally" Good to have another Lego resource on the Internet at our finger tips, thanks ~VBBN~ Regards Cpt. PB

This "little" ship looks good from the small amount we have seen. 20 inches long, is a decent size indeed. I will look forward to the end result "The out of focus background" real does add to the mystery! Blurry and Fuzzy is correct! Regards Cpt. PB

Batbrick's Jungle Display!
Admiral Blockbeard replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very nice display you have! I am sure those that get to see it will commend you on your great collection and MOC's. I was pleased to see a new "tribal" leader. There certainly is a lot of action going on in the river, I don't think I would want to swim in it! My final thought on it is that is a great way to show off your creations, the way they blend in with the Lego sets is testament to just how well you have made them. Regards Cpt. PB -

I laughed quite hard, upon reading that... but what if he has a special brail computer that reads out the text? In which case, I wonder what this would sound like... ihrfbinabjfn.... would be interesting to find out.

Agents Pie Thread
Admiral Blockbeard replied to Scyzoryk's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Pie, hmm, Cake, hmm, Pizza, hmm! Perhaps, we could make a pizza pie inside a cake, with all sorts of cheese, out of Lego! the ultimate creation! edible Lego, now that is an idea! As for the agents pie competition, I think it could do well and fits right in with the sites humor. In South Australia we have something called a pie floater! So we kinda already have a toilet pie ... (we SA people can be quite strange, it is even part of our national/state heritage listing ) What it is, well, take a bowl of pea soup, slap in a nice pie and you got a pie floater! Regards Cpt. PB *only the brave will follow the second link -
A Lego Board Game
Admiral Blockbeard replied to Admiral Blockbeard's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks for the comments so far! This game is the prototype of the idea, and can be expanded upon. It should be noted that the cards were made using a template that I adjusted (I personally like the wood appearance) The Game front and card back ship picture was found on Google and altered a little. I am becoming familiar with Gimp but I am no where near talented enough to make an image like that! The basic game structure is a bit of chance and gamble. A brief description is as follows The players roll off to see what position they start in, the rankings are in the order of the pictures posted above (with the last being the back of the character card). Depending on what rank you are you get paid x amount of money. there is two options you can get paid or challenge rank, (duel) if you challenge and win you get twice the amount or $20 more, (depending on your rank). To win you need to either have the highest amount of cash at end of game or reach a set target of cash. However a twist occurs after 3 (6 or more players) or 5 (5 or less players) complete rounds, where people can bid blocks of $50 to double up on a 5 or 6, or if the person has less than $100 total, triple up on a 6, anything else they lose the money. This is where the brig rat comes into play, he can bid any amount, he doubles on a 5 and quadruples on a 6, again anything else they lose the bidded money. Also another twist is how the round goes, it starts with the Lord Admiral and works its way down, however if they are successful at a challenge that person can retaliate right away (but no safe pay) this way people can get more than one turn per round, so the Lord Admiral may not be the highest earner. The Lord Admiral when he challenges rolls of with the Admiral, if he loses he goes to the last spot, brig rat... when this happens it is fun to yell out mutiny and all advance a spot, the Lord Admiral must challenge at least one every 3 or 5 rounds(situational as with the gamble rounds) (OPTIONAL) You can also buy out the person above you, you offer them money they can accept or decline with no retaliation (this happens at the end of the round.) The roll off dynamic makes the table interact like no other game I have seen before, it can be fast passed or slow and often you find the volume of the group rising. Laughing (swearing) and all the alike come out from those with a competitive streak, and those who have no talent can win due to the luck of a roll. Those from mystery castle have had a one sided glimpse with the dueling for Mary, I have been working on this for a while now, so let me know what you think and any suggestions are welcome. feel free to use the pictures above and test it out. Or if you like as I did before, play it using normal playing cards a pen and paper! (so far best tactic has been, LA (lord admiral) offered to be bought out all the way to brig rat, then stayed there and quadrupled up! a big risk!) Pay per Character or Challange pay LA $35 or $55 Ad $30 or $50 Co $25 or $45 Cp $20 or $40 Cm $18 or $36 Lt $15 or $30 MS $12 or $24 Of $8 or $16 DH $5 or $10 BR $3 or $6 Proper instructions available soon! Regards Cpt. PB -
I am working on a little project. It is a board game that incorporates Lego called Brig Rat, it is likely to have sequels in different settings like castle. Below is a thumb of the front cover I have created using GIMP. (linked to 1400-1200 picture*) And here are the thumbs of the game cards! They are in need of the text to be finished (Linked to larger pics*) These were made using MLCad's Mini-Fig maker and some print screen then Gimp Magic! Beside these all you need to have the game is Monopoly Money and a few dice! Oh and the instructions (still in refining process) will post up later! after a few trials (me not playing) its a load of fun! Plays from 4 people up! (10 is great fun) You are the first (other than family to see this so feel privileged!) Regards Cpt. PB *when public

A garrison with a few soldiers is always a winner! Your boat is fine as is, there are a few boats that actually have their sails like that. Perhaps a few custom sails over the troll sails and plunk a few pirates aboard to pillage and plunder. Best thing about pirates is that they use anything available to them, so you can do the same! Regards Cpt. PB

Ah yes, i had posted this site before too! I found this sight so funny. The Russians are Clingons etc. Also he has an extra long row boat. Very very good read! those that have not yet should! Is the creator a member here?

*EB news Critic* - "They let some colour tags slip through again, is their editor cross-eyed? Predictable, Hinckley again makes an appearance and Stauder (Stutter) is again nothing but a mindless work slave for IS. 1 out of 5 *bonk* I really hate critics that make everything good seem bad! Great work as per usual guys. Love the way Shadows arrives, rather fitting for him being the (now dead and extinct) kings adviser! I unlike the snob with his nose up his... you know... I give it a 4.95/5 the 0.05 off because you did not include one of his comics! How did my nose get there... okay fine, it going to take hours to wash that smell out... 5/5 *walks off sniffing* Regards Cpt. PB

Mystery Castle - The Conclusion
Admiral Blockbeard replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What can I say. *Clap Clap Clap* Twas Great fun to be involved in such a great game, I will keep a weathered eye on the horizon for future marfia games. I hope all were entertained by Byron and his shinadagins, and Mary, I think it is time we reveal to Ritz (Rotty) we were using him to survive The suicide was for an obvious reason, the game was ending, I felt as if this was a way that it could end with out a mass of votes. Sprinkles LIVES! I would like to say I was able to hide my traitor-ness, and that I was able to hide and protect Rotty's true identity, but I guess thats for you to decide (tell me), I was also honoured to win two of the Building Competions catigories, i Have kept it built, and will do for a long time. thanks to those who voted for me. We traitors were so close so many times! I still cant believe you did not kill Kyle after my post of his death bringing you victory! Dang that Stinkly! @Draggy, As you know I have supported you for the start before being a player, so both as the audience and player I say... You did a great job, the NPC gave a story line and extra story to just plane killings, I fell your interactions early on where great, however perhaps the picture of Marcus was too far. You can hold your head high and know that you have done a great job and that we are extreamly thankful! Thank you for giving me life long memories and a plan for my 21 birthday party. A murder mystery in elisabethian costumes! @IS, I wish you had killed kyle or some one with that dang power, we would/could have won!!!... thats all history now I spose. Well, Goodbye Byron, you have been wonderful to know, Sprinkles might hang around for a while yet... Player of the match from me goes to Iscreamclone Lord Gary, not once (from memory) did you get a vote against you! Regards Cpt. PB
