  1. Thanks for sharing, DarkDragon. This is probably the closest I'll ever get to going to a NYCC ... or any major LEGO convention in the US. So, I am living vicariously through those who are lucky enough to attend. I saw that EuroBricks sign on flickr and wondered what that was all about. It makes a lot more sense now. The Superheroes "poster" looks like a 3D mosaic. Very nice!
  2. There were some really funny ones there. Here are my favourites: 14. dr_spock_888 - 2 pts 18. CorneliusMurdock - 1 pt
  3. Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments! Glad you liked it. Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the gramophone, as it's from the official set. I tried modifying the verandah using the black parts as per the official model, but chose not to in the end because it turned out too "heavy" and made the front entrance quite dark.
  4. Stunning! The stone work on the small house is gorgeous.
  5. Hi Dino, This was made using parts from my loose parts collections. I had a lot of sand green bricks from piecing together the Green Grocer via Bricklink. Hence, the month between the original WIP and final! The Haunted House is AU $269 + shipping here in Australia (ouch!). I don't have much interest in the minifigures and can live without most of the accessories, so it works out a lot cheaper to just buy the extra parts I need. Kristel Edit: I had to make an additional BrickLink order to finish this off. Hence, the month ... (which probably didn't make sense to anyone but me until now).
  6. I finally got around to finishing off my modified Haunted House, complete with restored furniture. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Front of the building: The back: Kitchen on the ground floor: Bedroom on the first floor: And the attic: More photos on Flickr. Comments and suggestions welcome.
  7. Still in the same place, I see. I think I lost two hours of my life looking for it when it was first posted.
  8. I think this is how quite a few of us ended up here. I wish my parents hadn't given away my childhood Lego. Anyway, welcome to Eurobricks!
  9. Wow! The height of the walls, with the candles and the flags up high, give the whole room a very majestic feel. I also like how you have done the thrones and the stained glass windows.
  10. The dock is nice, but it's the ships with those beautiful brick-built sails that really caught my eye.
  11. I think the TIE Pilot is in trouble.
  12. Looking forward to some build time this weekend

  13. Supported. These are really cute and, even better, it is a unique type of project. Was this on display at BrisBricks?
  14. Wow. The BBQ, letter boxes and the drinking fountain are awesome. I think those letter boxes are going to start popping up in MOCs soon. You were asking previously for any design ideas for a Holden. Given I requested a Holden dealer, I would love to help out. Unfortunately, my car designing skills aren't great ... it's pretty much just building from instructions as far as cars go for me.
  15. I can't believe he is just 10 years old. The lounge room looks fantastic, particularly the dining chair. I also like the design for outer walls.
  16. Thanks admins. Life can go back to normal now!
  17. The only thing I can get excited about with these is the ladder on the fire trucks. I think 60002 is probably it for me.
  18. I really hope it isn't yellow, too. But this one below would be grand (in a colour other than yellow)!
  19. Here's mine ... from "Coveted Handbag" to "Coveted Sword": =>
  20. I like the old style better and I think it would suit New Mannum, but I appreciate that the Ford one would be a little simpler to build. I think Alisdair's design would work well with the smaller arches. Either way, it really should be a Holden dealership!
  21. It does sound grand. I can't wait to see the pictures.
  22. Congratulations, DarkDragon. The code monkey brick flick was awesome. Maybe a little too awesome, as it keeps playing over and over in my head. Thanks too to Eurobricks for the Summer of Friends. It was fun! Now to digging out the few Ninjago parts I have to see what I can do with my avatar.
  23. Nice! I like how you have done the windows on the top level.

    Naiaville

This was an excellent layout. I particularly liked the area with the ramps for the skateboarders - I have added a "skaty bevan park" to my list of things to try and make!
