  1. Yeah! And a proper head too, like his buddy Kazi! I'm fine with Onua's gold this time, even though he has more than before, because it's not mixing with large amounts of silver. They picked one metallic color this time (besides his mask frills) and stuck with it. That's a plus in my book.
  2. Some people have mentioned seeing Nuva Symbols printed on the Toa's chests. I can see Lewa's clear as day and Onua's seems to be there too. CM4Sci's drawing of Kopaka indicates his is there as well, though it is upside down and may be missing the notches on the sides. Can't remotely see them on the other three Toa. Either way, it's a nice nod to Gen 1 if they have them. Anyone else see them? Thoughts?
  3. I quite disagree, I think Umarak looks great. The gaps in his legs are regrettable, yes, but many titan-sized figures seem to have those. I'm sure they can be MOCced out. And while no set is without flaws, none of his seem comparable to Scorpio's issues. Based on this picture alone, I'm quite excited to pick him up.
  4. I can't tell if they're remolds to feature the double bar connection of other add-ons or the piece as-was. Lewa's weapon inconveniently obscures where the pin holes would/should be...
  5. I'm gonna go ahead and say that we probably don't know whether gear boxes are back or not. As has been pointed out, they were almost impossible to spot on the 2015 Toa prelims. I wouldn't expect any different this time around. I'm also disappointed about the Star Wars chest plates, for two reasons. 1) They're one piece only. Can't add any chest armor onto them like the other torsos we have received. 2) It's huge, necessitating the large torso piece. I like being able to use large torsos but I don't want them to have to be default for BIONICLE.
  6. I have only one question that seems to have gone unanswered. 2015 Gali, Pohatu, and Lewa featured Dark Azure, Dark Orange, and Bright Green colors respectively. Do you know which have returned and which have been replaced on said Toa? Thanks.
  7. Fantastic. It's the little things like this that tell me the line is in good hands. On another note, I'm wondering if we will see the city restored at some point in the story, either after defeating Skull Grinder or some point in the future. Would be interesting to see the villagers live there again.
  8. You shouldn't have said that, they're going to come after you now, asking you to look at pictures. Is it bothering anyone else that we're so picture-hungry? They'd be nice, sure, but life will go on without them.
  9. I'm in full agreement. I'm glad they didn't change the gender of any Toa on the current team (because they already existed. Sort of). But if we get a new Toa team, I'd be thrilled for at least two to be female. Bonus points if neither of them is a Toa of Water.
  10. Haha, whoops. I figured you didn't obtain all these names from URL guessing or similar. My bad everyone.
  11. I didn't recall anyone doing a URL check of the 40168 Deleted BIONICLE Booster Pack CM4Sci found, so I gave it a shot: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/deleted-bionicle-booster-pack-40168 It yields a Product Not Available page. I'm still not certain this guarantees a release since the title itself says "Deleted." Then again, it could be a keyword purposely removed. Hard to say. Thoughts? And sorry if this is old news, but I looked again and didn't see anyone try it.
  12. I'm in the same boat. While I only got into the CCBS system in late 2014, I've acquired many used parts since then. None of them have had problems holding their own. Obviously there is some variation but they're more than acceptable.
  13. Hard to say. We don't know for certain whether the second leak's sets are winter or summer (though probably summer). Also (and I don't know if this affects anything) Hero Factory 2011 didn't have a concurrent Constraction theme alongside it. BIONICLE 2016 does. Also true.
  14. Mask powers, yes. Names, no. Reason: I dislike the masks bearing elemental powers. It implies that the Toa have no inherent elemental power themselves (in this case anyway; I know Gen 1 had elemental masks), which makes them less than what I think they should be. If they gain inherent elemental powers from the creatures AND new powers from new masks, that would make my day. I don't really care if they are Gen 1 mask powers or not, but I want them to do things they could not before. As for names, using original names helps keep Gen 2 further separated from Gen 1. We already have our six heroes; I'd like to throw new scenarios and characters at them. That's part of the reason I'm glad Umarak is showing up: he's something new we haven't seen before.
  15. Didn't realize his arm shells were 5M (thought they were 6M). Makes the figure that much more valuable to me. Regardless, nice set and nice review. It has definitely improved my opinion of him.
  16. I'm really happy the Battle Figures aren't overpriced for you European folks. Happy buying! I myself will be making a trip to a LEGO Store this afternoon in the hopes of finding Grievous. If I can't get him, perhaps Vader or Jango...
  17. That's odd, especially since they're on the US S@H right now and it's not past midnight for the whole continental area yet. Systems sets are available too, though the pictures for those are missing...
  18. I have seen no one claim that Kopaka and Melum are a summer set. The set name was discovered after the rest of the winter set names, sure, but it only makes sense that he is included with them. The (possibly) summer sets only popped up recently, weeks after the group that included Kopaka and Melum was discovered.
  19. Right, sorry. Has anyone noticed that the Toa are taking on each (set of) Skull Villain separately? They found a bunch of Skull Warriors, then Slicer. Scorpios are probably next, then Basher, and then Kulta. Interesting how Ekimu is the only one who gets to fight multiple types at the same time (and totally creams them btw). Kinda sad the Toa didn't get to do the same, even if they don't perform as well as Ekimu.
  20. I disagree with this conclusion. Like System and BIONICLE Gen 1 parts, each piece is what you make of it. Not every piece is good for every role, but each one has more uses than immediately obvious. The longer we have CCBS and thus the more new molds we get (I'm thinking specifically about add-ons), the more this becomes apparent.
  21. One badly-damaged Miru, a couple Lehvak, and some time spent outside led to this: Also made a version without words: These (1024x576) are lower resolution than the originals. Two more sizes (1920x1080 and 3648x2052) of each will be here when the folder is made public: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=558724 Hope you enjoy. Feel free to use these but credit me when necessary. NOTE: The font is "Reconstructed Matoran Alphabet font" by Zappaz on Brickshelf.
  22. Being asked for specific pictures is probably annoying, but I haven't seen a height comparison shot of Vader and Grievous. If you could sneak one of those in that would be fantastic. Thanks! If I wasn't pumped to get him yet, I am now. Good thing Force Friday approaches quickly. Hoping these guys won't sell out as fast as the others (as awful as that sounds) so I can buy one later in the day.
  23. Educated guessing and wishful thinking. We're simply speculating based on the past and what we already know.
  24. Yes please. Titan Umarak would be glorious.
  25. Rule of Cool. Besides, BIONICLE characters were biomechanical before, makes sense that they are now as well. I doubt it says anything about why they exist this time around. I'm going to say "no we don't" because that's TLG's internal information. We as fans see subjective interpretations of "how well" the sets are selling. So we're not the best judges. That being said, my impression is that the line is doing fine. Gen 2 does not need the same huge profit margins of Gen 1 to be "good." As long as we appreciate and enjoy it, it is good.
