So far I picked up only 4 Cannon Battle sets through TRU sale buy one get one 50% off. Im planning to buy the following: Cannon Battle X 5-10 Solider Impulse Set X 10 Kraken Attacking X1-2 Soldiers Fort X1 Debating if I should BB SHip X1 debating if I should Loot Island X1 Shipwreck Island X1 Debating if I should The main reason for my debates is this huge castle project that Id been working on for past 3 years costing me $5,000+ so far. I know, when I saw 5.00 for eache impulse set I was like nahhhh forget it. S@H now has them for 3.50 so Im actually considering getting few of those too. 6239 is a def. army and MOC builder. Those new canons are awesome and the extras that come with this set arent bad at all. Overall my rating is 5/5

Dr Lucky, I agree with you BB just doesnt seem long-big enough to be the most fearest ship. I think that BSB and BSE would destroy BB like a fat kid destroys twinky. I can see where you are coming from, I was thinking of doing the same thing when I get it. However, those sails look horrible, id preffer BSE or BSB sails much better. This one reminds me of that fake copy of BSB that we can see on ebay. I just got 4-5 huls for very cheap, around $2 a piece so im planning to build one huge pirate ship, 2 large ones (2-3 hulls plus back and front) and several small ones along with rafts. Im still debating if I should get BB now or later....

When I first saw the new pirate line, the first thought that went through my head was OMG they look like those BRICK BLOCKS or whatever they are called-that copy of LEGO. The reason for that was simply the use of colors, everything was too bright for my taste. However, I was driving down the road and spotted TRU so I decided to stop by and take a look at the boxes. I left with 4 of 6239 sets for like $16. They have that sale buy one get one half of. So after I got home and assembled all four of them I changed my perception about the new pirate line. It is not that bad actually and it has more details when compared to the old line. Now Im def. thinking about getting all of the sets and seveal more of 6239 because it is a great army builder- 1 pirate, 1 soldier and one canon ;) Def. worth getting.

Can somebody do these decals for me. I would appreciate this very much and it would be wonderful if they could be done soon. Thanks a lot new_heads.doc

Why wouldn't it be OK to mix dark minifigs with yellow ones? I think it isperfectly fine, but itis up to the builder. Some people want to stick to the old fashion yellow, same want to mix yellow and brown, and others are turning to the new color (featured in indiana Jones series). For God's sake, its LEGO- which means you can do whatever you want ;) :D Just a quick info, I am actually wokring on this huge project and part of it is going to be a new faction that consist of brown figures. I will also have some brown figures in my other factions, as generals or something else ;)

I have always liked the Wolfpack knights. I see them very similar to the Forestmen, but a little different. To me, they appear like a merciless guerilla thives, fearless warriors with smart leaders who even though they are a neutral faction, aid the good King in his battles against the evil.

Pirate. The freedom they have,the fun,and fear they spread are priceless. Id def. choose that over the Imperials.

Creative and interesting. Some of those minifigs could be used as evil leaders and army generals.

Thst cool. I have about 20-30 piratesand 20 soldiers so far. Im thinkiing about launching a huge pirates MOC ina year or two. Right now Im focuisng on castle. I like all but the first castle serious and crusaders. Everything else is fine. Have you ever though about making a castle fleets?

I absolutely like your ship collection. I was thinking of doing similar thing as well, but I have to lay low on that idea for now. Are you planning on posting pics from your pirate army? Also, just a quick question, are you a castle fan at all?

Is it just me, or it really seems like new lego pirates remind of megabloks sometimes? First the colors are really dark or bright, and that baseplate is just different in my point of view. The minifigs look detailed so thats a good thing. Everything else just doesnt d it for me :(

Wow it looks like you have a nice collection going on there. Im more of a castle-pirate fan, along with vikings ofcourse. I have the exact same thing going on very soon-assorting all the bricks and so on. The main reson for that is that I am planning to do this huge project that might take me couple of years to finish.

Black Seas Barracude is a great buy if you can catch it under hundere. As for the instructions, peeron.com offeres them there for free, so if you have a printer (color) you can get them much cheaper that way.

Nicely said, I completely agree with you. I would personally open it even if it was the most valuabe/oldest set there is. If you are one of those people who dont enjoy LEGO, but are there to make money on it then I can understand. Otherwise, there is no point keeping it unopened.

Currently working on making about 450 lego castle soldiers. Torso and faces are custom or decal or sticker, however you want to call it. Soldier are from the following fictions: -lion Knights -dragon knights/masters -bue falcon -bull knights -scorpion knights -woodsman -crusaiders-actual ones with crosses, not the old ones. Also, working on 50 orcs. Little different than the ones that came in Dwarfs mine but it works for me. Pictures will be posted once I am finished.

Love it. It is very interesting the way you did this. The flow of this creating is simply amazing.
