LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion
Khorne replied to whung's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, these are awesome! I already really, really liked series 6, but series 7 seems to be even better . Looks like I'll have to spend a lot of money on these bad boys. The real plusses for me here are: AZTEC WARRIOR! Viking woman, Space Marine and Poseidon. Although each and everyone of these figs is a genuine beauty. Can't wait to get my hands on them! -
Eric roared angrily as Wren's magical attack coiled through his body. "Damn you, woman! Is that all you got? Too afraid to fight us face to face that you have to depend on magic to soften us up first?" he shouted, seemingly at no one. Eric's blood coursed wildly through his face, his state of mind agitated by Wren's cowardly attack. He eyes seemed ablaze, burning with fiery vengeance. The Nord was mad. Furious even. But he kept his head cool, he had to deal with these guards first. He ran at them, swinging his mighty club around him. Eric will attack Veteran Head Guard from the front row. Hans will attack Guard A, also from the front row.
-
Eric will try to take down Guard B from the front row, while Hans will aid Cronk in bashing Guard C from the front row.
-
Invigorated by his amazing martial feat some time ago, Eric felt strong and eager to show his worth once more. He nodded at Hans and gestured him to charge the guards. Eric will attack Guard C from the front row. Hans will attack Veteran Head Guard from the front row.
-
Eric grinned. Finally, the heroes would force their break-out. He grabbed his club tightly, eager to bash a guard's skull. He preferre the finesse of his trusty sword, but he'd have to settle with the brutality of a club. Eric will attack guard B from the front row.
-
I'm loving the Arena quest so far, but I hate it that I can't participate more. Everything seems to happen when I'm not around . Damn you, different time zones !
-
"I think it would be best to stage a break-out now. Otherwhise we all risk to go down because of infighting." Eric said. "I will try and talk to the barbarian contestant, maybe he'll join us."
-
<Whoops, I hadn't realized the fight had already begun, since Peanuts was still scanning the Arena. Sorry! >
-
"This is a difficult situation we find ourselves in. Wouldn't it be best if we stood up against the guards, instead of weakening ourselves by defeating people from our own group?" Eric said.
-
"Indeed, maybe we should wait another round of combat before we try to overcome te guards. If we can show the other fighters our battle prowess by winning fights, maybe they'll join us in an uprising then." Eric stated. "I'm not afraid to fight now, but the numbers are against us."
-
Eric was surprised. How could this be happening? He was a great and experienced Norse Barbarian warrior. How could this greenhorn be besting him right now? The pain in his arm was sharp, but it was his pride that was far more damaged. Not willing to relent, Eric decided to attack Tothwick head on, hoping his bloodrage would save him. If not, he was most likely doomed. Eric will attack Tothwick from the front row.
-
Ow, sorry . I thought only Tothwick had to pick an action, since it's his round. Eric will attack Tothwick from the front row.
-
After getting over the initial surprise effect of having to fight a fellow Adventurer, Eric braces himself for combat. Even though he's not used to wielding clubs, he'd try to make the best of it.
-
Eric had been silent the whole time. The fact that he was seperated from his precious blade, Godricsleif, grieved him greatly, but he could not let it show. He glanced at the Mockthril Club an swung it around. It was nowhere near as well-crafted and strong as his own sword, but it was fit enough to kill. "Time to put down those who oppose us." Eric said, resting his club on his shoulder.
-
Eric stepped into the Hall. He had been absent lately due to sickness and others things keeping him away from the other Adventurers. News of imminent did reach him however and so Eric came to see if he was amongst those chosen to participate in a Quest. He strode towards the Questboard and was glad to see his name was written under the seventh Quest.
-
"We are strange? It think it is you people here who have strange manners!" Eric laughed. "But anyway, you are right. Life is a precious thing. We should live it to its fullest and enjoy every moment of it. That's why I strongly believe in life after death, as I would never want to lose the fun of life. The everlasting Afterlife is a reward bestowed upon mortals for great feats performed during life. A never ending feast, one I wouldn't want to miss." Eri smiled and raised his glass of beer. "But now, we are here, as mortals, enjoying ourselves in the great Hall of Heroica. To life and all of its pleasantries!" he said and downed his beer.
-
"That is quite the fine tale you have there. You could've easily become a skald with your story-telling capabilities. I don't I lived in a village nearby yours, otherwhise we would've certainly heard about one another's exploits already. I come from a village nearby the sea, so I spent most of my youth fishing and fighting, preparing to join my tribesmen on their many raids. It has been some years since I last visited my home, though." Eric face went grim at the thought of his home. "Anyway, I'm glad to see another Nord here. Maybe we'll even be able to team up in a future Quest!" Eric turned his attention to Henry, the Rogue. He nodded as the Rogue mentioned Eric was blinded. "Indeed, it is true, that wicked wench blinded me with some sort of powder. There wasn't really much my companions could do, lest we lose any of our hitting power dearly needed to bring down the Shadeaux." Eric paused, sipped his ale and then continued to answer Henry's question. "If you never take a risk, you will never gain anything in life, boy. We had to take the risk and fight her. No Nord backs down from battle, blinded or not! The only true death for a Viking lies on the battlefield. Fleeing would only bring dishonour upon oneself and his entire family!" the Nord spat. Clearly, Southerners weren't accustomed to Norse culture and knew little of its customs or traditions. "Your family and tribe are the most important things in life. There is no greater honour than dying in their name, sword at your side. Even if I had died during that battle, the Gods' servants would've come for me and taken me to the Afterlife, where I could fight and feast forever at their divine side!" Haldor nodded. Strength, honour and martial traditions were still firmly rooted in the traditionally conservative Norse culture. Even though Haldor never felt strongly about these customs, he knew them by heart for he, too, was raised listening to the many heroic sagas and myths of their ancestors and gods. EDIT While Eric was tutoring the young Southerner Henry about Norse values and culture, Tesni strolled in and joined their table. "As I was just saying" Eric paused and smiled at Tesni "we had a good time on our Quest. There were plenty of mongrels to kill, pleasing the blood-thirst of my blade. Things did look grim at the end, though, when the propietor of the warehouse showed up and blinded me." Eric grumbled. He still didn't like the fact he was blind and helpless during the last fight of their Quest. "Maybe I ought to get an eyepatch like you?" he laughed.
-
Eric looked back and was surprised to see the person talking to him was actually nearly as tall as he was, there was but a few inches of difference between the two men's height. The man had rugged features and a good deal of red hair on his head. Dressed in furs and armour of high quality and intricate detail, this man was undoubtably Norse too. "God dag, vän. Hur mår du?*" Eric said, smiling. "I am pleased to hear your interest in my exploits. Indeed, we ran into some trouble with some of those crooked Shadeaux people, but we managed to defeat them, thanks to my fine blade and great companions. We put up a great fight. So, vad är din berättelse? Vad gör du här?**" * Good day, friend. How are you? ** What is your story? What brings you here?
-
"Ja, that would be me." Eric replied, seemingly uninterested. His point of interest was no longer on his food, nor the new Adventurer sitting at the same table, rather Eric heard talk of new Quests being available. The tall Nord rose up, towering high above the seated Alex. "If you'll excuse me, apparently I have business to attend to." he said and headed downstairs, towards the Quest board. Eric read the new assignments carefully. Each one of them seemed interesting, but his past dealings obviously made it impossible to sign up for Quest #4. He decided to put his name on the list for Quest #6: WANTED! Donny Dozenhands and Quest #7: The Arena. They seemed to be the most interesting and fun ones. How could chasing a thief or some heavy fighting, maybe even in an arena, not be fun?

After upgrading Godricsleif at the marketplace, Eric stepped in the Heroica Hall once more. It had been a while, but he still recognized many of the faces there. He immediatly made his way upstairs and ordered some food. He was starving after Questing for such a long time. Once he received his food, he went to sit at Boomingham's table, recognizing his fellow party member.
-
Eric strides into the market. Coming straight from a successful Quest, he was eager to spend his hard-earned money. His first and foremost wish was to restore his mighty blade Godrisleif to its full potential and unleash the hidden strength that slumbered within. Despite being a master at wielding the greatsword, Eric was no blacksmith and had no metallurgical knowledge whatsoever needed to work on his sword. As such, he sought out the aid of Anwyl, Eubric's resident blacksmith. Eric had his doubts about the man, he was dubiously tall for a Dwarf and his Mockthril weapons were obviously flawed Mithril ones, but he was all there was in the Freeport. As Eric neared Anwyl's store, he was greeted by the Dwarf. "Hello there, Nord. What brings you to my humble shack?" "I was to upgrade my sword, but I need your help to do so." "Of course, Barbarian, no biggie, hehe. Have a look at some of my other wares while I work on your sword." Eric grinned. "Thanks, but no thanks, I guess." Godricsleif was upgraded to WP: 6 by Anwyl: 215 - (40 + 50 + 60) = 65 gold left Happy, Eric left the marketplace. His greatsword seemed lighter than ever. Almost as if it was happy at being restored and not wishing to burden its master.

Slowly Eric's sight returned. He'd heared his companions rejoicing, but he hadn't seen the body of Umbra with his own eyes yet. He sheathed his sword and stared at the dogs' corpses and Shadeaux body. He was angry with himself for not having been able to participate in the final attack. "Good job, everyone. Well done!" the Barbarian complimented his friends. Eager for some more action, Eric seconded the plan to head through the door and defeat whatever it was that hid there. -

"Aaargh!" Eric roared as Umbra's underhanded attack hit. Dust flew into his eyes, blinding. He dropped his sword and kept on rubbing his eyes, but nothing helped. He vision remained blurry. He fell on his knees to search where he had dropped Godricsleif. It didn't take too long before he had retrieved his sword. With the help of one of his companions Eric got back up, but all was still black. Unsure of where the enemy was at, he raised his sword, but there wasn't much he could do. The helplessness greatly angered the fiercely independent Nord. Now, at a time when the party needed his help most, he had to let them down. OOC: What should I do? I can't attack and I don't really need to take a potion, so how should I use my turn? -

Eric hacked at the Shadeaux woman. She put up a heavy defense, but he managed to land a few bloodletting hits. Eric's blood boiled, he hoped to unleash another one of his frenzies to aid the party, but his bloodrage was fickle and unpredictable. In any case, he prepared himself to defeat Ubmra. He raised his sword high in the air and yelled something Norse at her. Eric will attack Umbra from the front row. -

He sleeps with the fishes now . The picture's supposed to be under water, looking up at the mob goons. I admit, my Photoshop skills are crude and basic .
