  1. Hmm, I'd really really like to join up, but I have a rather small Lego collection, so I won't really be able to build any outstanding/great creations . Btw, here's my map I made some time ago. I based it on official Lego maps, plus some added fantasy on my part, of course. It only includes the post-2000 factions, though, so none of the classics are incorporated. EDIT: If smaller creations are accepted, too (or other services to the guild for that matter), please sign me up for Northern Chill, as well.
  2. You can still join in, in fact there's no end to the period of time during which you can join. You're always welcome. You don't have to worry about your character being only level one, there are plenty of people who have only just joined and thus have a level one character, too. To join quests, you just present your character in the Heroica Hall first and let him/her/it sign his/her/its name on the questboard under the quest you'd like to participate in, like so . I hope this helped and hopefully we'll see your character soon .
  3. What is the nickname for Stella, if I may ask? I can't really make it out on the picture. Too bad such a good quality Belgian beer is associated with 'chavs' . Tsk, tsk, all the work and craftmanship we put into that ! On topic though, I can't really speak about the situation the figure represents, since I'm not from Britain, but I can say the custom work is really nice as others have already pointed out. Your decals look really good and are well applied . I had to look up what a 'chav' is, since I didn't know the term and to my surprise we have that kind of subculture here in Flanders, too (and to a lesser extent in Walloonia). The difference is however that over here it's middle class/semi-rich kids that dress like the English poorer chavs. We also have people of lower class joining in, but overall it used to be a subculture for the richer folks. Nowadays, the fad has died out somewhat and everybody is now impersonating American gangsta dress again (except the poorer working class folks, they stay chav now).
  4. Can't wait to see where this is heading. Can't be anything but simple excellence, though, seeing a the cream of the crop of Castle MOC'ers are united behind this project .
  5. Eric enters the Marketplace. Being already familiar with the place, he steps towards the Dwarf. Eric was loaded with weapons, but only one truly mattered to him. He took Godricsleif and handed it to the Dwarf. "This is truly a masterpiece" the Dwarf admiringly said "I would like to see it improved." "No problem, my dear man! For I am Anwyl, finest blacksmith in all Eubric!" Anwyl stated, full of himself. Eric pays Anwyl 150 gold (70 + 80), which leaves him with 143 gold. Not needing the Club anymore, Eric decides to sell it off. He offers it up to the blacksmith, who is willing to pay 20 (40:2) for it. Eric agrees and receives 20 gold. He now has 163 gold. This leaves the Nord with Godricsleif and the Sword of Courage. Even though the blade in masterfully crafted by a Norse smith, Eric decides to part with it, as well. Eric didn't need the a Sword of Courage to be courageous. Maybe some wannabe Hero or adventurer would be more interested in the blade. The Nord received a generous 35 gold from the Dwarf. Happy, Eric leaves the blacksmith with 178 gold in his pocket. Strolling through the market, the warrior notices a new shop. It looked dubious, but he decided to check it out anyway. Upon arrival Eric was slightly surprised to discover the vendor was a green woman, but not Orcish. The Nord gazed upon her wares, keenly interested. Apparently the woman would still for only a month, so one had to do his shopping fast. Eric eyed the Ruby, enabling Fire spells. Not wanting to disturb the spirit of his sword, though, he went on to buy the Opal, used for Icy spells. He paid 100 and left (with 78 gold left). He quickly returned to the smithy and merged the gem with Godricsleif for 50 gold. He now has 28 gold left
  6. Eric stepped into the great hall of Heroica once more. It had been ages since his last visit and the number of heroes had all but risen during his absence. Eric felt as if he had been gone for months. His throat was thirsty and his stomach empty. He longed for food and drink. He stepped towards the bar and sat on a stool. The Nord ordered a meal and two beers to go with it. As he waited for his order, he scanned the Hall. He smirked, "Seems like me and Haldor are still the only Nords to grace this place with our presence. Doesn't really surprise me, though. We don't need Heroica to prove our ability." It itched Eric that he had been reduced to a mere pawn of foreign employers. They gave out there orders and the Heroes had to follow them. The pay was good and some nice loot came along the way, too. Sometimes. Nothing compared to what the Norse gained from raiding others, though. The fights had been okay, so far. Eric was able to prove himself on multiple occasions. He had shown his worth to the others, cocky and arrogant as he is. Still, the lack of individual initiative bothered Eric. He had been the son of a chieftain and now he was nothing. Eric the Hero. The name rang in his ears and turned his face sour. He was no Hero. He was a realist, this was nothing but a means to a purpose. Scheherazade brought Eric's meal. He downed the first of his beers immediatly. Suddenly his throat started to itch and he started up coughing some blood. His hand reached for his throat. As he stared at his hand, he saw a bit of blood. His neck was wounded, no doubt by some adversary in the Arena. Even though the wound seemed to be healed, this was only superficial. "You alright, Nord?" the Orcish bartender asked. "I'm fine, leave me be. Please." Eric replied bluntly. He voice was coarse and gruff. His vocal cords seemed to have suffered from the blow. Biting through the pain, Eric ate his meal. He needed the food. As he drank his beer, someone tapped on his shoulder. Eric turned around, somewhat angry. He hated to be disturbed during his meal. "What?" he said. "No, I'm fine. Thanks anyway." The reply was short and to the point. Eric turned about and finished his food. The last battle in the Arena stung. He had revived the Ranger instead of fighting and he hated it. The "boss battle" and he missed it. The Ranger's offer was kind, but the gods wanted it this way. The Norse need to stick together, help their own kind. After all they were forced North by Southerners, so why should they help each other out? As Eric finished his meal, he got up and headed straight to the Quest Board and read the messages posted there. He laughed silently as he read about the pirates. "Oh please, you've got to be kidding me? Little Southerner wants to play pirate? Idiots. Probably a bunch of idiots with eyepatches and parrots. They are nothing compared to the great Vikings of the North!" Eric put his name down for Quest #15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger. After some thought, he put his name down for Quest #13: The Darkstar. You never know, someone might need the expertise of the Barbarian to find this "Darkstar". With that, he left the Hall.
  7. "Okay then, as you command" Eric begrudginly accepted Jess' order. He would not attack Draco and instead use his Phoenix Essence to revive Ranger Docken. Eric will use Phoenix Essence on Docken.
  8. Seriously? I hated 'In Bruges', I spent the whole movie waiting for something suspenseful to happen, but nothing came . I found it a pretty bland story, to be honest. I don't really understand what the big deal was about that movie. Overall, it was received rather bad over here in Flanders (where it was filmed). Maybe it's because everybody here already knows Bruges, we see that city a million times during our lifetime here. Every kid visits the city over and over with school. Plus, Flanders is really tiny, so the maximum distance you can live from Bruges is about 3 hours. Maybe it's that mysticism we lack over here and that makes the movie appealing to audiences abroad?
  9. Great MOC! I love how you portrayed the aftermath of a battle and not the battle itself, as is commonly done. The crying figs at the casket of the dead Royal Knight truly add life to the scene, as does the burning of the dead. Are there going to be more MOCs from you, portraying this "great war" story?
  10. Xarrzan's Sarrick had been handed 100 gold by En Sabah Nur, Jebediah's character, you can read it here. But you're correct, normally a level one character only has 10 gold .
  11. Eric took pride in the mighty blow he dealt Draco. He grinned and prepared himself to execute his final attack on the blonde arena master. Suddenly, he then reminded that he was carrying rare Phoenix Essence, capable of reviving fallen heroes. He was in doubt, should he revive some of the fallen, even though the odds were big that the party could end this battle for once and for all? Eric felt it was wrong. Glory and honour were there for the taking, just a sword's swing away. If he revived one of the fallen, he'd miss out on that. The feeling hurt his warrior's feeling, the action clashed with his Norse ethos. He turned to the party leader, for her wish was law in his eyes. Eric shouted: "Jess! What do you want me to do? Attack Draco and finish this, or use my Phoenix Essence to revive one of our party members? Even if Draco manages to wound me, there's no way he can take me out in one round*! If the gods will, this battle can end now!" *OoC: At least I think, so . Draco can deal 12 damage maximum, right?
  12. Eric took a few steps backward as he was hit by Draco's whip. He brushed off the attack and eyed the arena master once again. He readied himself to launch his full scale assault anew. Hopefully Eric's luck with his club would now transfer to the Sword of Courage. Eric will attack Draco from the front row.
  13. I'm amazed at your building skills . If this is "easy" I wonder what will be considered "hard"!
  14. Luckily, we have strength in numbers. Well, at least I hope we'll be able to get an advantage out of hat .
  15. "Finally, Draco. You messed with the wrong fighters. Your cries of death will be as sweet music to my ears." Eric said calmly and grinned. He eyed his new blade. It was definitely of Norse origins, the way it was crafted and the runic inscription along the spine of the blade made clear of that. He spinned the heavy blade around in his hand and prepared to fight Draco. Eric will attack Draco from the front row.
  16. "If no one objects, I'd like the sword. Will we go kill Draco after we handed out these weapons?" Eric longed to put down one of the people who was responsible for him and the party into this mess. The killing would grant him some sort of satisfaction. There's no escaping to payback.
  17. With all the off-topicness and commotion, you are all forgetting that 3001/29 is the most important colour of all, 'cause I'm the only one named after friggin' candy! 'Nuff said . Nougat out.
  18. I'm not Sandy, but I hope my attempt'll do just fine . Here you are: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Khorne/Heroica/Other/av_guts.jpg
  19. So, are the tags that have been handed out already a determinative for which faction you'll build when an eventual faction/guild based community build comes?
  20. The FINAL odyssey! IT'S THE END TIMES, they're HERE !
  21. Ah yes, I totally forgot about that. Maybe I should add an American translation? There you go .
  22. Someone who uses his imagination and is not bound by strict conventions . It's Lego, you can align factions how you want them to align, use your fantasy. Sure, you can follow the "official" storyline OR you can make one up for yourself. It's all up to yourself and how you see your Lego factions .
  23. I'm pretty sure 3001/55 is 54,5636..., 3001/5 is 600,2, 3001/22 is 136,40; etc. Are you sure you're on the right track? EDIT: For our American friends: I'm pretty sure 3001/55 is 54.5636..., 3001/5 is 600.2, 3001/22 is 136.40; etc. Are you sure you're on the right track?
  24. Yes, it's trap, most likely caused by your browser. What browser are you using if I might ask?
  25. I was just saying some ideas . If the plan is to make these guilds/factions 'joinable' for members, you wouldn't want to have too much of these guilds or else the membership of them will be spread out too thinly. If you make 20 or so different guilds/factions but only a few people are interested in the project, you're bound to have some of these guilds empty, others with only a handful members and more others would be filled to the brim. I'm just saying that it's more fun if every faction got a decent amount of members and that's a feat easier to accomplish with a smaller amount of factions, thus my point of only using the "new" factions: Fantasy Era and Kingdoms.
