  1. Luckily, he forgot to say the magic words, so his letter won't be sent . Yeah, I found it a great reply, too. Haldor will have to look out for his "other mother-in-law" .
  2. "On behalf of myself and my companions here, I thank you for your cooperation" Eric smirked. Gripping Godricsleif tightly, he gestured the party to sneak up on the group of pirates. They'd deal with them first and then try to find the jailor.
  3. It was a good reply indeed. A close second to BrickDoctor's "In short, you have the wrong adress" one. IMO, that was the best one yet. There have been some great, inventive letters posted already. I love it .
  4. When I said Eric was tall, I was thinking along the lines of 1,90m to 2m, because that's pretty gigantic for your typical medieval person. But apparently everybody is that tall . Oh well, let's say Eric's around 2m, that's still pretty big for a normal man. Making him even taller would start to be kind of abnormal and not really realistic.
  5. That's cool . Thanks for posting the link to that flickr pool with Heroica pictures. I had no idea there were that many Heroica MOC's. It's great to se people expanding upon the existing games.
  6. Wow, that's pretty big for a (medieval) 18 year old . About 2 meters, right?
  7. Hahaha, lovely reply . Interesting way to circumvent replying directly to the letter .
  8. Haha, take it easy there Leo, don't rush things or you might end up:
  9. Interesting concept. I wasn't that far off about it involving letters . I don't really have a clue what I could write about though. Eric's not much of the writing person, plus he forgets about most unimportant people.
  10. Probably a crash-course in writing love letters then. It'll be useful for all those lovestruck characters (Leo ).
  11. Very interesting build. It reminds of Skyrim in some way. Can't wait for the other pictures, 'cause the ones you posted now seem a bit too grainy to make out most of the details. What I really like about this, is you that have added an interior. I'm a sucker for interiors . The combination of dark green, brown and grey works well too. Makes me think of Rohan somehow . EDIT: I forgot to ask, what does it's name mean? Or is it just something random?
  12. Funny that you mention Brugge. I'm from the province of West-Flanders and I actually go to school in Brugge, so I am confronted with medieval architecture almost daily. It's probably due to my proximity to red brick buildings and remnants of the old medieval commercial cities that makes me love this MOC so much . I would've loved to have seen the kontor a bit bigger though. But I understand it is difficult to do as dark red is an expensive color and useful parts are hard to come by.
  13. There are less female characters than male characters is the RPG, so Sandy's Valentine special will obviously involve fights to the death between the male characters so that both sexes even out .
  14. Very nice. As I've said before, I love your technique for red brick buildings. Very nice scene. Reminds me of the Hanseatic League and their kontors .
  15. "So, doc, could you enlighten us on the whereabouts of the jailor? Do you know where he's at? Does he wander through the fortress or does he stay in the lower levels, close to the jail? Speak up, miss, tell us all you know about this." Eric said in a hushed tone. There was a light hint of anger, maybe even rage, in his voice. The whole situation was visibly working on his nerves. "Listen up," he started, adressing the party, "I think it'd be best to find Reno first. If we can locate and free him, he'll be a welcome addition to the party, providing extra manpower we could use when we are going to face Roger. I have no idea where to find him, though, nor do I have a clue on where the jailor could be. That's why we need the doc here to talk." as he uttered the last words, he turned his attention to the frightened professor once again.
  16. Looks like someone's having issues about where Quest 15 is heading . It surely took a turn for the worse/darker side of things.
  17. "No, I just drank my last bottle. I'll need to stock up on this heavenly drink once we get back to Eubric."
  18. Oooh, definitely needs a Special Attack like Jigglypuff from Pokémon: putting people to sleep by playing music/singing . Bit like the Dream Sailor special class you made in your Quest.
  19. "I never said we were noble. You're right, we do work for the highest bidder. What we do ain't nice at times, but someone's got to do it. I couldn't care less about the goals and behaviour of the Bonapartes. It's a general rule in life that the weak perish and the strong live on. Jolly Roger and his bunch of idiot pirates are weak and they will perish." Eric said bitterly. He then turned to Erdathcath "We can't sneak past them, they're too close, they'll surely spot us. If we want to go to that stairs we'll have to fight." Eric took out his last bottle of mead and drank it to the bottom. "If the gods won't help me, the mead will" he grinned.
  20. Yes! Decent pictures, finally ! I've said it before, but those figs are fantastic. I'm very glad I finally got to see some crisp pictures of the Rohirrim and their designs. I must say I'm impressed. Those helmets are so incredibly detailed and I'm very glad to have more legs with printing. I'm very satisfied with the riders of Rohan and I wish to have lots of them . Helms Deep is definitely my favorite set here. They're all great, 'cep maybe the forge, but the castle is my number 1.
  21. I called him 'epic', because I was using the wording Boy Wonder used. I'd rather call him 'memorable'. Why? Because he remains cool and calculating in every situation. Maybe that comes because of the "lack of roleplaying", but I think he's a memorable character because of that .
  22. I believe this is the building he based it off: Warhammer Haunted Tower (Converted Fortified Manor House) It's not an official building, it's a modified set .
  23. What are your standards for calling someone epic? As has been pointed out, and I support that statement, I too believe you left out a whole bunch of other 'epic' or cool characters such as Mr. Boomers ( ), Bartholomew, Arthur and many others. In fact, characters having a love interest are a minority . Also, I think Leo's way too young to go after Ellaria. Even though he's "officialy" 18 now, he's still a kid in my eyes . He's lacks the maturity Ellaria has, plus his love for her seems awfully rushed. Almost as if he's trying hard to keep up with the epic heroes and desperatley wants a girl . I hope you don't feel offended, just wanted to share my 2 cents on the matter . Don't feel sad. Like CMPOD said, maybe it'd be better if you roleplayed your character some more. You know, give him some more depth and identity. You don't need to be a mass murderer, soulless killer or whatever to make your character stand out. I find the more realistic heroes to be the more interesting ones. Those whose stories aren't far fetched and seem very plausible . I have to admit though, a clown wielding a hand cannon-horn would be awesome .
  24. "I can't just let you walk off and continue your job" Eric said as he took another swig of rum with his free hand. "Those machines should've never been built. They're abominations, destroyers of beautiful traditions. How can a man truly obtain glory from battle if his opponent isn't even human? There is no honour in slaying a machine or be slain by one. Helvetia does not receive the weak in her Eternal Hall. Only those who died a true death on the battlefield, facing a living opponent. Same goes for your cannons, only a weakling would wield such a weapon in battle, too afraid to face their opponent face to face." Eric was visibly angered by the very thought of engineering the robots and magical cannons. He turned to Hybros. "We head to the stone staircase. Lead the way, companion". Eric let the scientist go free of his grip. "You're coming with us, on the same conditions I imposed upon you earlier. Anything stupid and die. Now start walking." The Nord brutishly pushed the scientist forward, keeping his sword unsheathed, ready to act when necessary.
  25. Very beautiful, both the MOC and the photo. There's something really peaceful about this. The light radiating through the stained glass window is very, very nice. Your recreation of the lion symbol in stained glass is pretty spot on as well, much better than anything I could do.
