Like the Heroes said, they went to Imperial Dastanese Army Headquarters of Farrech, colloquially known as the Barracks or even the 'racks, first. The building itself wasn't that hard to find. As the northern-most bulwark of the the army, and the Empire in general, Farrech was quite rundown, even looking dilapidated at times. It was clear that the city had seen its fair share of armed struggle in the past. Therefore, unlike most of the other parts of the Empire, the architecture of Farrech was a mixture of sporadic, yet typically Dastanese sandstone structures and the more bountiful wooden houses and buildings. The barracks, being an important building, were of the former type. A big structure pulled up in sandstone, to underline the might of the Empire. "Strangers", the captain gently nodded. "State your business with me." "We are the slayers of the rampant Wyverns. We were told there might be some sort of reward in it for us?" "So you are the ones who got rid of that problem? The doors of the Hall were slowly being pushed open once more. A cold breeze swept in, accompanied by a man equally cold of heart. Eric the Northman re-entered the heart, with a usual haughty grin decorating his smug face. The Nord had a change of attire, following his last venture into the Babeleth Darklands. His "new" armor looked ragged and worn and the only shiny parts about it were the huge opal sitting in the maw of a fell brass creature. What the creature represented, was up for debate. Some might see it as a wicked sabertooth, a fierce predator of the northern lands, while others could interpret it in a more malignant way: to them it was the head of a wolf, the symbol of the Wolfgang. No doubt it was Eric's intention to openly flaunt his newfound loyalty to Ulric the Wolfman and more important of all, the money and power that came with it. Eric paraded straight to the Questboard, only to be slightly disappointed that he had not been chosen for a quest yet. Nothing the sweet taste of free beer could wash away, though, and he went straight to the bar, mostly ignoring the other heroes. It was only once he had arrived at the bar that Eric noticed the small Imp, Hybros. They could talk later, first, the Raider's throat needed something cool.

"Goshdarn, you are speaking the truth. No one a bone that size'll just be laying at the side of the road. Wait and I'll come right down to open up the gates for you." The guardsman quickly made his way downstairs and ordered some others to help him open the gate. As the heroes entered he gave a quick salute and motioned them to stop. "Wait up, Dragonslayers! That's quite a feat you pulled there. I'm sure the captain will reward you if you swing by the Army Barracks here in fair Farrech." The heroes nodded thanks to the guardsman and ventured into the city. It was much larger than Port Glazmouth, but just as lively. The crowd, however, seemed to consist way more out of military men than merchants, though. It was clear that Farrech was a fortress town, bent on guarding the northern border of "civilized" Dastan. "I guess we'd better start asking around if anyone's heard of a missing servant of Ennoc around these parts. It's probably best if we hit the inn or talk to some shopkeepers. Of course, if you want, we can swing by the captain's quarter's first." What will the party do? As the cart wheeled closer, the heroes could see a mighty wall blocking their way into the city. Like most of Dastan's structures, the walled was built from sandstone. The mighty wall was slowly starting to crumble, though and it looked quite worn. The air was getting colder and the surroundings were definitely getting more green. It became clear to the heroes that they were reaching the northern parts of Dastan. "Halt, travellers! The fortress-city of Farrech, the Last Hearth of Dastan, is under lockdown. Reports have it that a rampant Wyvern and her Younglings are terrorizing the area." "I am looking for information about a lost pelgrim. A servant of Ennoc. Some say he was last seen in your fair city. As for the Dragons, I can assure you, they will bother you no more. We have slain them." His mind dulled from drink, Eric had silently left the table he was at and had made a difficult journey to the bar. There, he drank some more on his own, on the lookout for any hero entering or leaving the Hall. In fact, the Nord had even spent a drunk night's sleep there, face down on the bar. After slowly having sobered up enough, the Nord made his way to the Questboard. Lots of people had been going there, so new quests were bound to have been posted. Skimming over the assignments, Eric's only seemed to half understand most of what they said. The alcohol had apparently clouded the part of his mind that understood basic Common. He let his finger slide over the Quests as he muttered some words, "...woman assaulted..., mongrels torn to pieces. Women and dead dogs, eh?
