I like Rex the most. The rest, well, they give me a bit of a headache. A few too many bright colors.

I was hoping to avoid a double post, but here's another army builder; with a twist: It's a vehicle! Insidious Invaders Price: $10 Parts: 150 Minifigure: Two Larvae Features two small ant-like creatures with movable legs and tr. red pods on their abdomen to hold the included Larva. The set would also have three much smaller ants. And one more set, just because LEGO loves this sort of thing. I believe this theme could actually pull it off in a way that makes it fun because it's fun, not just because it's a large set or for completion value. It's also inspired by the Hive Crawler and some of the old Mars Mission sets. Insectoid Mobile Base Price: $120 Parts: 1600 Minifigures: Green Robot + Two Armored Mosquitoids/Roachoids, new alien (same type as the Insectoid Lab concept) and six Larvae A gigantic, hulking lime creature as long as the Power Miners Titanium Command Rig, with six large, brickbuilt black "pincer" legs. The creature's front would have two tr. red cockpits and would also feature four tr. red dishes (so there are six "eyes"). The sides of the creature have six tr. red pods, three per side, to hold the Larvae. The back would feature a gigantic cannon.

Great, a spambot. Anyway, I'm going to try to think up a backstory for this guy.

One of the bulkiest, most armored HF builds I've seen. Nice colorscheme as well.

Modular Starfighter [LDD MOC]
DraikNova replied to vynsane's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Pretty awesome. I'm going to do my best to make a purple and black one. I'm making progress on the heavy weapons module, by the way. -
Agreed. The villain seems exciting to me as well.
-
Guess what? I found the sets today. Still going to stick to my plan, get the Ninjago sets first, then HF, and then all of the Galaxy Squad sets in one massive buy. I wonder if they're available in German LEGO stores too? I hope so, because that'll probably mean some of them will be on sale when I make my gigantic purchase.

Legends of Chima future tribes ideas.
DraikNova replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The story confirms which tribes are "bad" and which are "good", actually. -

I didn't even notice the panels at first. -
Yes, but they're really perfect if you want to add sturdy knees to a mech or if your mech's legs only move forwards and backwards when walking.
-
It wasn't too obvious that it was a crater, but it still had a very impressive look.

Probably around mid-May.

W.O.W. The best of the larger modular ships you've made so far and one of the best in general. -
Awesome. I'd suggest using some of the earlier more "technic-y" joints, which stay in place but still allow for a large range of motion. I'm talking about these parts combined.

Awesome little bugger.

Awesome mermaid-like design. And like the other posters have mentioned, the leg design is kind of strange (interesting, anyway).

I think that, for the summer wave, it should have been: Same: Fire Mech Garmatron Different: No Warrior/Samurai Bike, instead either a $30 "Saw Dog" (featuring Kozu and Kai) or an equal-price "Garmadon Mech"(with Lord Garmadon and Jay). A different Temple of Light, with a bulkier Golden Mech and some walls instead of the one we have, where both the temple and the mech look slightly skeletal. I'd rather have a good mech and a very skeletal temple than both looking slightly unfinished. And the big wallet-buster: Overlord Battle, featuring a gigantic Dragolord (like this), a small section of rooftop plus the little turret. The minifigures would be Evil Nya and Golden Ninja Lloyd. The set would cost about $120.

They'll probably be released in the summer. Actually, as far as I know, Galaxy Squad isn't available anywhere in Europe until summer.

D2C Contest: Assault on the Mountain Temple
DraikNova replied to mcfarlandman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I know this is reviving a very old topic, but it's funny how there's a similarity to the Overlord Dragon here. -
I don't think he used anything besides "real" LEGO. Those magnets are from old space sets (well, they were available in a few other lines).
-
For a several first tries it looks pretty great. Love the landscape, that's one aspect I can never make well. Some interesting part usage for the mech, too.

Even better, Vogons: Resistance is useless!

Single Pane Action Theme Funnies

Good point about the minifigure noses, actually. -
Utterly awesome. Perfect color combinations. I'm envious of the amount of rare pieces you guys have.

Beautiful AND the most impressive feat of LEGO engineering I know of.
