  1. Was in Walmart today and got one of the 1500 pc boxes
  2. I think we have a winner!!! Thanks so much for all your hard work Xon67
  3. I have that Police Pier set!
  4. Briefly looked at the parts list for GG - several substitutions would have to be done as 1 x3 bricks don't exist in Dark Red and 1 x 8 bricks are crazy expensive in Dark Red. I'm leaning towards doing the build in Dark Bley with Dark Red accent (where the tan is on the original) but Dark Red 1 x 6 arch are hard to find and expensive so I may have to figure out another possibility. Keep the colour scheme suggestions coming - I'm sure Xon67 can render whatever you like if you ask nicely enough.
  5. Wow. Can you adopt me and my sons!?!?
  6. Well...if your renderings Xon67 don't give people lots of ideas, I don't know what will!! Thank you so much! As an aside...ran the parts list through Brickstock and changing out the Sand Green for a more common colour can save almost half of the estimated Bricklinking value (based on average 6 month sale prices)...so if you're on a budget its definitely worth at least considering a colour change.
  7. Xon67....you are a god among men. thank you
  8. Thanks for the pictures LegoSjaak. The Sand Blue is nice but given thats the colour of the Pet Shop I would probably try something else. One combination I was thinking of trying would be the colour scheme from Arkham Asylum - the dark bley/dark red combo....personally AA is one of my top 5 favorite builds and would love to have it replicated elsewhere.
  9. I was thinking of attempting to Bricklink/piece together the Green Grocer with my sons but obviously the price of the sand green bricks is somewhat offputting. I have seen a Sand Blue Grocer and I believe a Sand Yellow/Tan but am wondering if anyone has had success with other colours for their Grocer. Red? Bright Green (I know the 1 x 2 brick with groove doesn't come in bright green)? Dark Bley? If anyone has pictures of their mod could you post them so we can have a look at how the building looks? I have no idea how to use LDD to try and create/change a set so please don't suggest that. Thanks
  10. I love Prof X being there - made me laugh. Great MOC
  11. I too came late to the Modular party but have attempted to make up for it in short time. GE/PS x 2/PC/PR x 2/DO x 2 have been added to the collection. As well I am in awaiting a Bricks n Pieces order to compete a Bricklinked FB that my son really wanted. All sets have yet to be built but they will be shortly.
  12. I'm a new user to the program Brickficiency and so I will admit almost complete ignorance on how to fully and best use the program. That being said, I have attempted several times today to import a Bricklink wanted file into Brickficiency only to have the list only partially imported. And yet when I switch back to Bricklink and check the wanted list, it appears to be full and not missing anything. Am I doing something wrong? Is anyone familiar with this and can perhaps walk me through troubleshooting?
  13. Follows Closely - Do you have a Bricklink store? If so could you PM me so I could browse as I am looking to get some of the older Modular sets
  14. Thanks Peter...i'll try that now. Cross your bricks for me
  15. I too have caught the Bricklinking a Modular bug...I'm not sure if there is any cure. My son and I decided on Fire Brigade as the first one to try and assemble and I placed my first orders this morning. I placed 7 BL orders and am attempting to place 1 BnP order. I have no idea what shipping will cost on the BL orders but 3 of them are local pick ups so over all it shouldn't be too bad. As long as shipping is manageable I should come in around the $350 mark which is a pretty decent savings over what the set goes for in Canadian BL stores. I have had some issues with the BnP website and didn't know if anyone else had experienced the same thing - It allows me to confirm my order but as soon as I got to check-out it dumps me out into the general Lego shop@home website and nothing appears in my cart. I haven't called CS yet as I would like to avoid manually dictating my order to a poor rep but I may have to do that. I have tried 3 times now. Anyone else have that issues ever?
  16. I apologize if I am duplicating any previous posts/threads with my question to those of you who have modulars. I am about to take the plunge and enter the world of Modulars. I have a fair number of train sets and so I felt like this was kind of a natural progression. My question is - are there any modulars (currently available - GG/CC/FB/TH excluded) worth getting multiples of (either to create bigger building or reverse build etc)? I understand a lot of it is probably personal preference and the age-old "purists vs MOC'ers" debate but I figured it would be worth gathering opinions on. Thank you in advance for your input.
  17. I want!!!!
  18. Have you physically build any of these models or are they just LDD models at this point? I like the look of them. I missed out on the Emerald Night unfortunately.
  19. Don't forget to add the price of the PF to your total. More than likely 1 motor won't be enough. Search the forum for people's suggestions how to best set up 2 HE's. That's my local store and I'm not too far from Kitchener either
  20. Well...I know what my summer project will be now.
  21. This is just pure genius. I can barely tie my shoes most days if I'm lucky. I'm also very envious of your colour-coordinator trains no hoppers - very sharp looking for sure. I may have to copy that idea sometime.
  22. In December I ordered 60051 from Amazon UK for £61 (being Canadian I don't pay VAT) but it got damaged in shipping and never arrived. Keep watching the prices, it'll come down more. I also ordered 60052 for £80 at the same time.
  23. My guess is that you have both trains set to the same color (red or blue) and the same frequency. I would suggest you look again and put one train on 'Red 1' ( color red, frequency 1) and the other on 'Blue 1' and try that.
  24. Called Lego this am and managed to order 2 HE at the sale price. Thank you eliminator for the tip :)
  25. Any idea how many were left when you placed your order?
