Thanks. What is all this about the pharaoh being too happy though, why can't a king be happy?! Thank you, and yes that would be cool, I'm thinking of building another one, though maybe not quite the same. I may make a slightly smaller version or something like that, I'll see. :skull:

Did anyone else get the Lego Adventures magazine?
Shoc replied to Shoc's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ooh, Poland too! Sad you lost them... I have mine neatly filed in a bookshelf. Yep. I really loved those comics, probably because I love the Lego theme storylines. I might scan them sometime so other people can see. :skull: -
I used to get a magazine called Lego Adventurers, and in fact I have every issue! It was an official Lego magazine and always had brilliant comic strips and building ideas. It ran from 1999-2001 Apparently it was only sold in England (my country), Denmark, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. /\ My favourite issue. This is the only webpage I can find about it. Did anyone else here on Eurobricks get this interesting magazine? :skull:

It's an official one now, from the Farm sets. :skull:

I always find the Jedi/Sith robes from Star Wars sets to be brilliantly multiuseful! Any other ideas? :skull:

Thanks, and me too, I look forward to seeing the Legoland Windsor one when I go there soon! Thank you. You wouldn't believe the amount of behind the scenes meddling I had to do to get it just right, especially with the SNOT chin and beard! :skull:

Heh heh, I like it. Very simple, but effective! :skull:

Same experience for me actually, but I think I might have been under 10 years old. Hey... why does the male protagonist have a regonisably female name? :skull:
-
I know, but I just built this from vague memory, and it looks more minifiggy with a thicker beard. Anyway, I'm sure there must have been at least one pharaoh before with a thick beard. I've actually done quite a bit of Lego sorting recently, but I don't have anywhere near enough time to sort it all! :skull:

Thanks! I'll try. Nah, it's meant to be a statue built into a wall, and they were generally forward-facing. This is my inspiration. I saw that before. I think it was subconciously inspiring me. Maybe, though not this one as it's thouroughly built into the wall. And why can't a king be happy and smiley? Thank you! I nearly didn't put the heiroglyph pieces in, but I thought it would add to the atmosphere of it. Thanks! Yes, it took me a while to get all the right pieces together so it worked well. I can't believe I managed to find the all the right pieces in one night, and only using two Lego boxes (I have dozens of boxes of Lego)!

I was on a forum called Minifigure Customization Network (which I found in '05 via Google search for new Lego sets), and it often linked to frontpage updates on new sets on Eurobricks, so after visiting EB a lot, I decided to join. :skull:

Last night I was experimenting with SNOT techniques to make a large Lego head, and the experiment soon turned into a giant statue of a minifigure! I present to you, the statue of the great king Ramagodt (guess where I godt the name from)! Thanks for looking, comments welcome! :skull:

That's what I thought. Some really nice pieces there! I like the dome on the mech too, it's like half an egg. :skull:

Star Wars License ends next year. :skull:

They're actually sunglasses if you look carefully. :skull:

Welcome to Eurobricks skull! Your planned diorama sounds very interesting, as do your other favourite themes and hobbies; I love Castle, Agents, Space Police, minifig customising, videogaming, drawing and writing too! I hope you enjoy your time here also. :skull:

legomilk posted some set information here, too. :skull:

Nice, I really like them both. Very sleek design. Will you be making these out of physical bricks too? :skull:
-
He does - it's called Watchmen. Cool, that's good. :skull:

I love the red haired villain, the golden dino, and the great pieces in the robot set (including civilians!). Thanks for the pictures. Now where is this green Dooku hairpiece everyone's talking about?! I'd love to see that, it would be great for the Joker. :skull:

One word: Wow! :skull:

Yep, that is actually what I would love to build if I could (in minifig scale)! But I don't have anywhere near the right amount of the right types and colours of pieces for it, and probably no space to put it. I'm actually accumulating pieces to build Wayne Manor study and the main part of the Batcave, but the whole thing would be almost impossible, even though I would love to build it. At the moment I've been building a whole Wayne Manor and Batcave underneath, but it is microscale (based on the mini Wayne Manor in Lego Batman: The Video Game). I'll post it when I've completed it. I'd love to build that also! :skull:

Thanks for the set info, Legomilk! Glad to hear my country will get them. It's not obvious what they all are, but they sound cool. :skull:
-
Despite that, I'm sure half of the people that buy these will be buying them for the pieces rather than the game. I know I will (though I might have a little gameplay first)! :skull:

How many babies have you seen who have their whole faces wrapped in bandages? I see what you mean though, and a yellow Sharpie could give them normal heads anyway. :skull:
