Looks quite real for me! You could have told me it was a TLC official MF I would have believed you. Nice job

Well if you're complaining about North America come to Spain and you'll see what's total absence of availability. Firstly there are no many places to buy them and secondly when they bring them they disappear very very quickly. Just an example: in Madrid the only themes availables are Town (four or five sets), Creator (only the latest ones) and Star Wars, and of course no keychains, baseplates, doors and windows sets or things like that... And I really don't understand the reason because there are a lot of legomaniacs in this country, I can assure you and we even have an spanish lego magazine! I sincerely hope the Advent Calendars will be available! If they doesn't I'll have to make a little trip to Paris and buy them there (I think 6 or 7 would be enough for me and some friends around here )

I'm very sorry about the extreme delay I'm having in my Maffia Comic releasing but I needed some new Lego sets to complete my character and vehicle cast and after that my digital camera decided it was the best moment for having failures... Fortunately, during this time I've re-written the story what means I've begun all the work again so I'll hope to be able to show you the first episode the next week. I'm quite happy with the final MF cast (I'll try to take some photos) but I would need the amazing City Advent Calendar 08 to complete it so let's hope it will be available in Madrid (Sometimes I think TLC hates us for some reason... lol) For the moment here's the new Title Page: Comments are welcome!

Fantastic vignette, bravo! I love all the metallic mess you have in the center (quite realistic!) and the red flag with the fire behind

That sounds really interesting! Could you put a link or something? I don't find it...

Really beatiful and relaxing...

Nice shoes concept, and beautiful shop! Good job!

Amazing works, really. I specially like the Harry's Hardware (very well designed and with a nice color combination) and of course I the gothic Town Hall!

Could someone make for me decals from these classical stickers and bricks? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Well I had a lot of inspirations from classical Maffia films and shows: "The Godfather" (How not? ) , "Scarface", "There was a time in America", "Prizzi's Honour", "The Sopranos", "The Departed"... but also from Video Games like the GTA series or books like some of Tonino Benacquista's, specially "Malavitta". Nevertheless the main inspiration and what made me want to do a Lego comic about Maffia was the song by the french singer Renan Luce. You'll see a lot of references from this one!

Many years ago I tried and re-tried to do a Nute Gunray's MF and now I see you have done the perfect job: very similar to the model and using only official Lego parts. Congratulations!

Wonderful scenario, really! I like all the little details around like the merchants, the little bridges and the poor guy in the crane with the orcs (BTW, nice underwater effect in the rocks). Bravo!

Thanks! I have already done the first pages but I'm still deciding between doing short episodes (5 or 6 pages) or larger ones (10 or 12). What do you think? Not at all, I've never seen that show but looking for it in the web I saw that it's true this title page looks quite similar to that show advertising. Not deliberate!

Nice scene! I really like the penguins and the floating ice pieces on the cold water and, of course, I find the poor guy's expression priceless

Well I'm back after some holiday weeks and I've begun to work seriously on my Maffia Comic and here's the Title Page: I'll try to post the first episode the next weeks and I've even found a long time looked for Town Background! Comments are welcome

Maybe this has been discussed yet but I've noticed in Spain is totally impossible to find Impulse Lego Sets from any theme. I've searched everywhere but in every store they say they've been sold long ago or this year they've received no one. I just get to Paris last week and I found a nice Lego Store (at the beginning of Boulevard Des Italiens, don't miss it! ) and I had the two last Impulse sets from the City Theme of the store and the seller told me it has become quite difficult to find them in France too... I suppose this kind of sets are the best sold because they're the cheaper ones but I have been wondering if this is anormal or if it happens eveywhere

Wonderful work! I really like the tense ambiance you've created just using the light and the character's face
-
Very impressive work, really! I just love the way you did the sand and the mark of the armoured jeep's wheels in, and, of course, your nice re-interpretation of the classic safari car
-
Nice work! Bravo for Jaws! Nevertheless I don't like very much the first MF, I think a black hair and another suit (more Black&White) would work better (Thinking at Pierce Brosnan as model, of course...)

Don't worry! In fact I stole it from Brickshelf first

Ghosts in the Game Room (Pepper's Ghost)
BlueBard replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
WOW I just can say I love the ghosts, they look so real! And great scenario too -
I don't know exactly where but I saw this last one red in Brickshelf, just serach for "decals" or "stickers" :wink And please, could I re-ask for the town decals I asked for?

Lovely car collection! I really love the ambulance front (and the interior!) and I must say: welcome to the Smart Mania!
-
Impressive work! I specially like the police car with that yellow/blue pattern

Not bad, not bad at all! Anyway I know that Factory sets use to be more expensive than the others but this one is a bit too much expensive I think...
