Is the LEGO Pirates Forum too chaotic? Are sub-forums needed?
BlueBard replied to Mazin's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think this forum is becoming a little bit chaotic these last times but I really think is because of the new Pirate sets and the general AFOL's interest about it Anyway I think in some time things will come back to "normality", even if this EB sub-forum has allways been one of the most populars I really find that sub-forums to the sub-forum would only make it more chaotic -
Yesterday I took many photos of my latest Lego City creations but unfortunately the camera goes off very often and a lot of them were horrible... I'll try to repeat them and post it here as soon as possible. There will be three modular buildings with interiors (I let you speculate a bit about them... ) and some vehicles and MFs. Hope you'll like them! For the moment I post two little city gadgets I made: a baby carriage and a little segway: I know they're not specially amazing but comments are welcome!

I voted for the huttlet's bedroom. Just love the detail like this baby sarlacc...
-
A lot of people voting here! Thanks! It seems very few people really like the new maps, even if the majority is not unpleased with them (but prefer the old good ones). Well, I hope TLC will change this detail in the future pirate sets And thanks too to the admin who put that two shots of the maps

Wonderful MOC with very accurated details! Just the work you did with the boxes deserves an enormous BRAVO!

The first time I saw pictures from the new Lego pirate line I didn't like it pretty much... Well, now I've seen more detailed views and I can say they're not so bad and some of the sets quite interesting! Here, in Spain we'll have to wait until march or april but I think I'll buy a couple of it. Anyway what I can understand about these new sets are the "pirate" maps... They're from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade! They represent the road from the city with no name until the secret canyon where lies the grail, there's not even a bit of sea! I mean, TLC have allways released new map designs for its new lines (Adventurers or even Agents) and now, for the new pirates, where a map is such an essential element they give us the IJ map again that, in my opinion doesn't work at all. What do you think? Thanks for voting in my first poll! The old - And the new -

Funny, and clever use of the pieces! I think this pirate protocol droid would get along well with those astromech islanders

Wonderful idea! For the first time, that crownies are the bad ones... Love it!

CCCVI Secret Hideout -- Inn: The Empty Barrel
BlueBard replied to mrts's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Bravo! So brilliant idea you had using the barrel as a secret tunnel! And the wolfmen hideout is very well done too, it reminds me a bit to the Gondor Raiders from LOTR -
Yar, yar yar! That's all, you're welcome
-
Wonderful idea, really! I'll be looking forward
-
Wonderful design! I really like the front, man

I like this blog very much, specially because it's allways a nice "summary" of the best City&Town MOCs on the net! Keep the nice work, please! BTW, I voted for "build contests" I did not a good job in the last one and I would want to try again... lol

I already started a topic about this time ago but after seeing this on BS I was wondering if somebody knows if TLC is planning to release new sets of this kind. It would be great, wouldn't it?
-
Fantastic MOC, really! A very accurated interior: love the auditorium, the guncase and the garage! (great idea the dog in there! ) I wish TLC sells sets like this to complete Cafe Corner style...
-
Good job! Love the beck chair

I found this on BS, so it seems somebody have tried it yet (I think it was inevitable... ) Thinking about that set I asked myself a question: after buying it I will want to adapt it to my MFs so what should I do? Build a smaller car or make an adaptation from the original 4939 set? Some of you will say that's too big for a MF but remember the Agents' car What do you think? Thanks for your advice!
-
Good job, and very interesting wall-technique!
-
Nice job, here! That "modern" tudor style is very interesting and the interior is full of lovely details like the pinball machines and the black&white chair
-
So nice designs! I really like the egg-chair and the fan Do you mind if I borrow them for a Moc of mine?
-
Everything can be tried!

Thanks for the information, people! It's really a pity that models are not MF size Anyway, I'll try to modify it like Lasse D did in that topic with the white one, but, as meschepers says, I think I'll have a big problem to modify the roof...

This morning I saw the 4939 "Cool Cars" set in a store and I fell in love with that little one... I was tempted to take it but I was going really late to work and I decided to lend it for another occasion. Anyway, thinking at it I was wondering if it would be more or less a right size for MFs or it would be too big (I fear... ). I tried to search a review in EB and BS but I found nothing with MFs so, please if somebody has it could you take a photo with a MF with the yellow car and another with the guy in the car? (if it fits... ) Thank you very much!

Very nice design, and pretty close to the original!

I think it really depends if you take the Mfs faces as several differences or just one (like RedBeard's face...) But I agree with z_zadar, I also find 20 differences (I was at the 19th but looking at his list I noticed the 14th and I think you really must be told for seeing the microscopic difference on the policeman's tie ) So funny game! I think I'll do something similar
