Wow, wonderful MOC, Hinckley! I really like the interior, I wish this lovely building could do part of my city... Now I'll have to do a better one! LOL
-
Thanks for the nice comments! I cannot check it at the TLC web, too many "not allowed" parts...
-
Some XVI or XVII centuries theme would be awesome...
-
Ok, then! Now, I'm glad to present to you the first LDD project for this MOC, the new version of the red cafe corner:
-
Wonderful Lego adaptations, specially Jim!
-
I agree with Yeow, it's a nice and colorful creation, specially the one with the blue sky. Good job! BTW, what are those white 1x1 tiles after the guy's legs supposed to represent?
-
Lovely little pub! Hey, wait a minute, I recognize my pirate accordeon!

I agree, but not only the english! French, spanish, italians (at that time there was no such countries, it's just a geographical indication) and the half of Europe and mediterranean countries saw the vikings as real demons. In fact, the image of the "demon" as the christians see it comes from the early "fight" between this new faith and the old ones. More specifically from celtic tradition where one of the principal gods, Cernunos (sorry if that's not the spell in english, I know it only in french...) that means, more or less, "the horned" and was usually representated as a man with horns or directly as a "goaty" spirit, was taken as the main representation for the evil seen in the early christian faith. What I want to say is that for the IXth or Xth century european society anything evil must have horns (you never asked yourself why dragons and other mythical evil beasts from the medieval tradition use to be horned?), and as the vikings seemed so evil for them because of their faiths and ways of life they represented them as evil things, so, horned. Sorry if all that is not very Lego related, but I'm an european medieval History freak Oh, and please, in History matters (I don't know about the rest...) NEVER trust Wikipedia, it uses to be ALL wrong. If you want my advice as historian: take a book.

I just saw it on brother-bricks blog and I coul not believe it! So lovely ship, so wonderful details! You did it again, man, you made another perfect MOC. Bravo!
-
Nice review! I think I'll take one or two if I find this set. They're the perfect complement for a City street...

Star Wars Senate Guard custom minifig concepts
BlueBard replied to strider406's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nice beginning! In my opinion these are the best options, specially concerning the helmet because I think it would be a bit too difficult to adapt that clone helmet to a senate guard one. -
Yep, I know but I've already spent a lot of money in BL for finishing this MOC and I cannot spend so much...

Well, as there's no more sigfigs propositions for the moment here goes the list: - Erdbeereis1: I dont' have neither the torso nor the head Instead of that I can propose you the modern version of the cook, as seen on the top of this page - Pencoin: The picture is a bit too blurry but I've identified the parts and, excepting the torso, I can do it. - posades: No problem. - AgentRick57: No problem. - Skinny Boy: I can only do one of the soldiers or one of the Bargotti's guys, sorry - MacK: I only have the head. There's going to be a comic store, so you could be definitely in! I could change the torso for an Imperial Scout Trooper one and the cap for a red or white one... - VBBN: I have all the parts, excepting the torso. Maybe a Vader's one? - Dennimator: No problem. - Darth Legois: No problem. - Luxor V: Don't have that torso, sorry. Do you have a decal of it? - Raven Brickroft: Don't have the head. I'm not a "modern" castle fan, sorry - Adam: excepting the black hair, there's nothing I can do... Keep proposing sig-figs! And sorry for the parts I don't have...
-
Ok, thanks!
-
Weird..., but interesting. Could you explain it to me?
-
I totally agree Thanks for the suggestions, most part of them were thought but 6 and 11 gave me nice ideas
-
So clever mechanisms! Nice work!
-
Wow, it seems this is going to be a sig-fig show! LOL Unfortunately, I don't know if I'm going to be able to do all the sigfigs, I'm very sorry... As the building is going to take me until February at least ( three weeks of exams in the middle... ) what I'm going to do is to post a list of the sigfigs posted here that I can do. Thus, you can see if your actual sigfig could apper or not. Sorry if you're disapponted... BTW, as Raven Brickroft asks, your sigfig doesn't have to be necessarily Town related so any proposition is welcome
-
I really appreciate your help but I'm going to have a LOT of exams this January so I'll be a bit busy and I can wait until February. Thank you very much anyway! Moreover I've recently discovered a little Lego specialist seller at ten minutes from my job and I've made some reservations yet (The 2009 City Advent Calendar for example! )
-
Then, we are two at least I was thinking you could be interested on appearing in a city diorama I'm preparing here. You would be most welcome and some of your decals will be in
-
Wonderful design, not extremely accurated but very effective! I specially like the bell, and how you did the interior "floor"
-
Nice work, here. Specially adapting the scale Love those knights, so well designed!
-
Wonderful and effective mime! I specially like the use of the black stick Anyway, I must feel a bit angry, because I had just finished to take photos of my own mime (exactly the same design...) and I was ready to post it here when I saw yours! Well, I suppose I'll have to be faster the next time
-
I can perfectly do your Skywalker police sigfig, don't worry, and I can choose between these two police torsos:
-
Nice ideas, thank you, people! Concerning the sig-figs I'm very pleased seeing that there's many people who wants to appear in the MOC! I'll promise to put in all the sig-figs I can build (remember that I'm in Spain, no the best country for lego..., so please understand that I cannot have ALL the MF parts ). Concerning the diorama I'm waiting a delivery from Bricklink for the next week so, as soon as I can, I'll begin to build. I have many of the building designs in LDD and I'll try to post them here during the WIP. Hope you'll like it!
