Lovely Job! The figure is nicely done and one more time I have to say this: you're a real Lego tree artist...

Looking at old topics posted I realized KhoRne used a lovely city background for his Impulse Set Contest entry: Has somebody something similar? (Maybe BerndDasBrot could create one? ) It would be helpful for Town MOC shots presentations as that japanese guy does with his Castle ones, wouldn't it? I'm afraid I'm a disaster with images editors but I badly need a background for the MOC I'm preparing now and also for a comic I'm planning to do Thank you very much, everybody!

Yes, but I was not talking about the dates but the military capacities of the hispanic monarchy against the Dutch rebels Interesting links! The talk a bit about the Tercios but they're esentially about the Spanish Marine Infantry (oldest in the world! ) created from the old Tercios of Infantry. When I was saying the spanish Tercios were the best infantry the world has ever know I did not pretend to say there have never been a better one than them. Just saying that no one else have been so efficient and powerful in his time. Of course, infantries like the greek, macedonian, roman and of course the french or the english ones in the colonial period were the best infantries in their own time but were no so efficient. An that's because they were created as independents units needing no support from the rest of the army (excepting the heavy artillery, of course). They were composed of three kind of soldiers (that's why they were called Tercios, from "tres", the latin word meaning three): pikesmen, swordmen and crossbowman (rifleman later) fighting at the same time and be capable to beat any kind of enemy (cavalry, infantry and pikesmen even...)

The Tercios were disolved centuries ago... First, this was the beginning of the end of the Hispanic monarchy power. Second, read about the siege of Breda or the Rutyer Windmill battles... And, of course, read about Lepanto battle or the conquest of Mexico and South America

Vig 15-a Look what I've found on Brickshelf: It's a little vig of the spanish artillery from the XVI century I supposed. The author is unknown. It would be a great small set for a new line of Lego Pirates Theme, wouldn't it? I really hope we'll see conquistadores again in the new line! BTW, that flag did not represent the Hispanic Kingdoms, and specially the land army until the XVIII century. The right flag would be this one, the red cross of Burgundy, used by the famous "Tercios de InfanterÃa", the best land infantry the world has known... pir-devil: A bit of patriotism here!... If you\'re interested, here you have a little demonstration with a scene from the movie "Alatriste" showing the famous battle of Rocroi between the spanish empire and the kingdom of France. (In spanish, but well, there's not a long dialogue in a battle... )

Thanks! Oh, it's not a standard at all, in fact that's completely anti-standard It's just I don't have any "street" baseplates at all so I decided to do an elevated sidewalk It's completely deliberate. I wanted a bit of showy look for the italian building

Nice job! Looks like somebody is anticipating the 2009 Lego castle sets
-
Simple but beatiful vig! Love the MFs, specially the one on the top Nice job
-
Nice and clever construction thinking you've used a reduced number of pieces BTW, maybe someone have told you and maybe it's completely deliberate but have you noticed the clone soldier's helmet from your avatar looks like a polar bear head?

This is an awesome building, BatBrick, with amazing details everywhere and a beautiful diamond in the middle: the penguin fountain. I just... love it
-
Tasty bricks! LOL Thanks for adding it to the index! May I ask to you to add my "Around the Red Siren" MOC too? Thank you very much! Well, unfortunately I don't think I would make a replacement new ship. Instead of that I'll try to post some photos of my 6289 and 6280 versions.

W.O.W I think it's one of the biggest Lego armies I've ever seen! I specially like how you've done the imperial infantry with that colonial style, and absolutely love the two first shots you've made of them You can be really proud!

I remember to literally jump of joy when my grand-father offered it to me for Christmas... It's an amazing set, the train is really beautiful and it comes with 11 (!) MFs, so can somebody ask for more?

Lovely hut! With nice details like the orc rising from the swamp or the interior
-
It really looks far far better. I love it! Nevertheless now the rest of the pilot's equipment looks too new and clean... , but great work anyway
-
Thanks! And thanks too for explaining my MOC cannibalism to Mr. Phes

Well, finally after long days of work I can show the first shots of my modular Nighborhood MOC! The Coffee Shop: A house with a little garage: Tony's, an italian grocery: I have still a lot work to do, like the interiors, vehicles, MFs, a building in construction and a trafic circle I've planned to build this next weeks, but I've wanted to show to you these three main buildings in the case you have counsels, or constructive criticisms to make So, comments are most welcome, and thanks for watchin'!

My vote is for "anonymous" number 2 Love the idea of a crab pulling along a boat
-
Very nice work, here! I like the hight detailed face and hand of the monster, and specially the poor viking trying to escape to his fingers The whole scene really looks like if it's going to become alive in any moment

Protecting the Sake Shrine with Paws of Fury!
BlueBard replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow, I really love the design, specially the tree and the "sake temple"! And, of course, lovely Tanuki -
WOW! Your "Catch' Up" Shop is just... perfect! I really like the design and, of course, the amazing interior. It really makes me want to buy a scooter here! Great Job!

57d This is a ghost ship by now I dismantled it yesterday because I was badly needing black and yellow bricks for a Town MOC I'm working on... I did it for my last Pirate MOC, "Around the Red Siren" but I decided the view was already too full of things to put a ship on the middle I also wanted to make a ship battle between this one and my Pirate Ship but I realized it was too small and would have look a bit ridiculous so, at the end it has become what every MOC becomes: BRICKS Comments are welcome!

Lovely little Pier! I like it very much, specially because it's simple but at the same time full of great details like the bath
-
Nice MOC! I really like how you did some things in a simple but effective way, like for example the harbor (nice way to dispose the planks, BTW), the beacon and, of course, your little waves Anyway there's something I did not catch: what's that "barrel" (?) in the middle of the boat? I must say it also reminds me a lot of Lord Of The Rings Movie, even if it's seen from "the other side" LOL By the way there's a fantastic novel callled "The Last Ring" which shows the famous war of the Ring and its consequences from the orc side, maybe it would interest you

Looks like my last MOC is being re-discovered! Thank you very much for your nice comments! If you really like my MOCing style don't miss my current work in the Town & City sub-forum. Coming in August!
