This is a fantastic series of builds and very funny too! Both landscapes are great, as are both vehicles, but especially that vacuum cleaner... love the concept!

Excellent transforming vehicle msx! Looks like a pretty powerful weapon!
-
The round walls here look really good and so do the stairs! Great build!
-
Nice work, especially on the rock base! I'd suggest though that you try having the water spill over the base to make it look a touch more natural. +1 for the UoP credit.

Location: G10 Tags: Vehicle, Land Vehicle, Airplane [sort of], Exploration The lava covered landscapes of Onix provide a beautiful if harsh landscape, especially when the pitch black ignatious rock is studded with Biomass. Guy thought so too, as he drove over the planet's surface. Guy Wynd, reporting! What's the status on Onyx, Guy? Beautiful! Anything more um... practical? Breathtaking. Well, if that were literal, it would be pretty serious in a practical way, but as I suppose it isn't... Oh. How would it be if I were to take some pictures? I never was any good at descriptions! I can tell. Well, that sounds good. Okay, engaging areal transform! Here I am, up in the air! Even more gorgeous from here! *snap*snap* Augh! Oops... um... Something happened? Oh, ah, no. Nothing much. Well, signing out! After returning to headquarters: Hey Guy, so where is that camera? Camera? Yeah. You know, the little black box like thing that records images of what you aim it at? Oh yeah. I know what a camera is. Right. So where'd it go? Um... A few overview shots! The middle part of the little rover snaps off for areal function. C&C welcome! I discovered while building this that I could use some more practice with lava! I'm awfully slow!

Great build, especially the right hand side building, I really like all that's going on on the top! What?! They don't teach you slang at school? That's all I ever learned at school...

If I may say so though, AG is almost if not quite as busy as we were during the C category. In fact, one Monday I had literally four pages of new comments (and at least half of them were builds I hadn't seen before, even though I was on the previous Saturday!). At the height of the category, GoH never had more than three pages! I still routinely mark the whole AG forum as read. Anyway, I know what you're talking about. Though do still hope to keep building for GoH actively, if I can find time between my weekly AG builds at least! But I don't think I want to see any of my counter builds every again. -
Good thing Guy was there to help out! Nice work on the landscaping! I think for the last couple pictures what you were missing was the [/url]. Not quite sure though.

You can say dude, at least, I say that to my sisters. Don't know that they really appreciate it, but anyways! I would think pal would apply too. IDK.

BTW, I did get the idea that it was probably supposed to be running water. It does kind of look more like ice I think because it's all at the same level. Flat implies still. Still clear with a bit of white suggests ice rather than water. (Also the fact that there's snow in the build means that ice makes sense.) Running water has ups and downs, and especially the foam would be a little higher up, as I'm sure you know. Now, how to convey that in bricks... that's another matter! The foam could possibly be pushed up slightly if you used tiles and simply stuck them in with friction, or, if you used 2x1 tiles which have no understuds, just a gap and could thus be pushed up a little (and would also stick out down below). I'm not sure however if that would really make much of a difference. The other thing would be to tilt some of the 2x1 plates you have there and surround them with cheese. The problem with that is it may well be rather too large of a bump.

Excellent build shmails, as we've come to expect from you! The pinkish leaves and the yellow flowers go really well with the black trunks and brown scrub all over the ground. You've definitely made good use of the permission to use non-purist foliage! The mech is also really well built, and the choice of background color makes the whole scene pop. Great work!

An excellent series of builds ME! I really liked the interior scene toward the beginning, though I do think a little bit of floor texture other than the studs would have been nice. The ending twist to the story with the boy stabbing Malik was a great tie-in to the beginning!

[Ch. IV, Cat. B] Sir A. Liddel Studd's Story

Thank you guys! I think that was one of my favorites as well! Thanks! It's sort of a spin off Ska's Sir Brickalot. Since he said we couldn't actually name our character Sir Brickalot, I tried to see how close I could get... Thanks! -
Thanks pombe!

That's quite a powerful, rugged looking all-terrain vehicle!

Very nice build kabel, you've done a good job capturing the sense of the out of place ice with the sharp contrast between that and the green! The half burnt roof is really well done also!

Thanks Captain Dee! I'll admit that I kind of ran out of rubble there at the end, though I might have been able to scrape a little more together but I didn't really think of it. Thanks LJ! Thank you Adair!

Like Bob said, the rules clearly suggest that the tags should be put at the head of the post, like so, Location: X00 Tags: aa, bb, cc It is a bit confusing with the forum tags also being called, well, tags. And then, the location is usually put at the head of the title, ex, [M, X00] How to Shower on a Planet that doesn't have Water So I don't think very many people also put it at the head of their post, and I dare say I've forgotten a couple of times myself.

Really nice concept with the multi-layered idea! The little cacti look great too, as does the crossbow invention!

Thank you! Hmm... well, I just thought the scene needed a dash of bright color. You can think of them as whatever you like - shooting flags, or just long illuminated zigzag poles.

I don't think those categories will be voted on... they weren't the last few challenges, and personally I don't think they should be voted on.- 272 replies
