Any market or interest in empty CMF packets or boxes?
Rail Co replied to Big Cam's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes I do this to I keep one or two sealed from every series. On another note I do keep my packets, you would think since a box with a set raises value. Why won;t a minifigure with its packet do the same. Those are my thoughts. Rail Co -
Well I at least figured out that his track is secured to the baseplates, I do not know how wide the are but they are something of ?x8. I assume they are 1x8 on each side of the track. If you would like to see yourself look at the second picture down behind the 7939 engine, at the end of that rail you can see the plate. Anyway that is a great module, I have never been big into them just because I like the biggest layout as possible in the amount of space I have , but this reminds me since its not a big layout you can put a lot of detail in without a lot of time! Looks great, Rail Co

This is really a cool thing. This would be a nice touch on a train layout and station! Thanks for sharing, Rail Co

I love these little modular shops! It seems you like hardware stores . Anyway have fun building these tiny models Looks good, Rail Co

Well, that must be so annoying to have to take up your layout like that . It is good though that you have enough room in the new place to rebuild it! Well good luck with the new place and layout Good luck again! Rail Co

WOW!!! That is a nice Loco! I've always loved to see your models! I wonder how long this took you?!?! Does it go as fast as most other steam locos with all those motors? I always think you have the best ways of hiding the PF motors, receivers, Battery boxes! I guess that is more instructions . Also what is that program you use? Looking Good! Rail Co

You can also use BlueBrick if you just want to use lego sets and (I don't use it often) you can somehow upload custom sets. Good luck! Rail Co

I really do think the 80's were best because I love Lego Trains. They had so many different options with 12 volt, automatic switches, red and green signals, automatic railroad crossings, even auto de-couplers (all buttons wired up of course). Anyway I think there is a start of a break through in trains again. I know PF is not my most favorite (much rather have and electric track) but they are starting to produce sets more often again! At least one every year (most of the time). this is what I love to see and I hope the is only the start of what is to come. I do hope they start with automatic things again. In fact A year or two ago I even suggest one of those I forgot which and the guy seemed enthusiastic about it and said he will submit it to the "idea Department" (he may not have) but there is that little hope for all train fans out there! Those are my thoughts, Rail Co

Looking for Tips & Techniques to Build Steam Engines
Rail Co replied to FlyerNut's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I have done one or two steam engines. Anyway first of all make it your own don't copy everything you see from another person's model. Also remember it won't come out the best the first time. I'm still figuring out how to finish my Flying Scotsman. I have had to change things around many times just to fit things in correctly or to this or that . Anyway and look for some odd pieces that could add the cherry on top to the train, I have seen a minifig arm on a train before . There are not really any particular ways to make one just kind of go for it and have fun! Rail Co -
I just happened to notice that you released a lot of videos of your trains lately, anyway did you get a new area to put your trains? or just a different layout? Just curious Train looks good though Rail Co.

I have many wishes, as you know we have (usually until The Red Cargo Train broke the pattern) a 2 year break for city (which should be this year) anyway for the cargo set I would love to see a small shunter mostly because we haven't seen one in who knows how long. This would include a few small little freight wagons. The passenger train I would like to see a simple steam train (like the sets we used to get) with one or two passenger cars. That would be great for those. Now for the lego exclusive train sets they have started up, I would like to see either another nice steam train (because they look so cool ). I maybe would also like a nice detailed bullet train of some sort. Another thing I've seen here is that charging station. That would be nice. I would really love to see a re-introduced metroliner. If the cant re-introduce that model I would like maybe an updated one! Those are my thoughts, Rail Co

The qouta (I had trouble too) you have to delete pic from old unused threads to free up room. So I guess it is there forever... Rail Co

WOW! I love this train! Mostly because I made a "jinty" in LDD and really like steam trains. I really like how you put all these features and packed it into this tiny little loco! I would love to see a much bigger engine with all these features in the future! Rail Co

Well, Welcome to Eurobricks 'BrettFavre' First word is: Wow! I really like the detail! I've seen a lot of these types of locomotives, but this is one of my favorites! I really love how you put the (I lack a better word) wheel covers on the bogie, plus the bogies have a good amount of detail. This is for sure a very good MOC. Great first post Brett! Keep building amazing models, Rail Co

Looks really nice . I like how you didn't use a standard piece for the front, you brick built it Keep Brickin, Rail Co

Also, is there a way on LDD to see what parts you would need to buy to complete this set. If not are you able to move LDD models into LDraw models. If so is it possible to see what parts you need in LDraw? Thanks, Rail Co

Cool, Where can I get these?

MOCs: Pennsylvania RR K4s Class Steam Locomotives #3750 & #1361
Rail Co replied to Cale's topic in LEGO Train Tech
WOAH!! AMAZING!!! That is some good detail! I'd love to have that on my railway. Keep on brickin, Rail Co -
Thanks for the compliment, I try to make models more and more detailed every time I make a new model! Also I was thinking, what could I put in that open door way to close it up? Thanks, Rail Co I am going to put everything in that mail car. Anyways I look that up sounds very interesting! Thanks, Rail Co
-
This is what I came up with for a powered carriage for my jinty. I am going to make more of the "Royal Mail" carriages later on (more of different types of mail carriages.) Enjoy, Rail Co P.S. I couldn't find anything to cover that open door bit.

Okay, Thanks for the information! I didn't know that. Thanks again, Rail Co

I don't know how I would put that in my train I want to use PF parts though.

Also any ideas on what coach or wagon I should use and what is the easiest way to power that wagon or coach. Thanks, Rail Co
