Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll have to look into your idea, but I don't want to spend more than $80 for the actual set. Like said though, I'll think about your idea of buying it then shipping it to me. EDIT: I looked on Shop@Home for several different European countries, but all of them had it at a higher price, from 60 euros to 70, but in the U.S, it was only $60 (about 47 euros). -Santhor

Hi, I recently found out that I had more money to spend on Legos than I thought, so I decided to buy the Winter Toy Shop from last year. But Shop@Home (in the U.S.) didn't have it, and there were none on Bricklink that I could afford, the same with Amazon and Ebay. Does anyone know where I can get one priced at no more than $80 USD? Thanks in advance. -Santhor

Really? Maybe I'm being naive, (I don't know how to do the double dot) but I still don't see a link. -Santhor

Many orcs, you have. But Yoda, I did not know was with them. Very nice, especially those brick-built trees. -Santhor

Umm...I scrolled down, but there's still no MOC. Just the 7037 set. No links that say something like 'castle tower moc' or anything like that. -Santhor

Ah yes, I remember my days as a child. I wasn't a good builder, (mostly slow) even with instructions. Luckily, I had my big brother to help me build the sets while I played with the minifigures. In fact, my "sigfig" was designed by him. Now he's lost interest in Lego, so I have all of his old sets . Back on topic, I think sometimes those panels are cheaper to produce than a bunch of little bricks, just like how they put random shades of tan, blue and red on the inside of several sets, like the 2008 Republic Attack Gunship, or the Prince of Persia Battle of Alamut (blue, inside the stairs to the palace). Overall, I think the King's Castle looks great. Now I just need to get it. -Santhor

Thanks much to all of you, I just want to be careful what I buy. I see a tiny orange line on all of my shields, but it doesn't go in the cross/plus sign (+) pattern. It's usually dividing 2 quadrants, with a small gray, or maybe unprinted, line dividing the other parts. EDIT: Oops, the "visual aid" isn't working (I deleted it). The orange divides the top and left parts, and the gray divides the bottom and right sections. -Santhor

What do you mean by "an orange line"? Are the four quadrants divided, or are they overlapping? And when you say the printing was "spot on", do you mean it had that fine glossy look to it, like in the 'normal' sets? By the way, sorry for all the questions, I have a low-ish Lego budget, and I don't want to waste 45 USD on poorly-printed minifigures. -Santhor

I think I have a couple of the sets from that theme! Unfortunately, one of those katanas is bent back very badly for me. -Santhor

Thanks, but the reason I'm interested in the BP's is because they don't come with 2 armored knights (like the Prison Carriage and Knights' Showdown do) and yes, please go ahead and merge them. -Santhor

Kingdoms Torso printing problem fixed?
Santhor replied to ThatGuyWithTheBricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Mine looks okay (yes I only have one of the checkered pattern), but in the Shop @ Home the Jester Key Chain has visible "pink disease". That made me laugh. -Santhor -
Very nice all around! Great figure, decal, and poem (I know you didn't write it). -Santhor

Hello, I'm debating whether or not to buy the Kingdoms Battle Packs. I've heard a few issues with them-item holding, and "flat" non-glossy printing. I'm one who likes my armies consistent, (weapon color too) so I don't want to spend $15 USD for 5 minifigures that stick out like sore thumbs (maybe that's why they can't hold weapons ). So, for those of you who have them, what are you're overall thoughts? Is the bad printing that noticeable, or has that issue gone away? Sorry if there's already a topic for this, if so, please close this one. Thanks! -Santhor

I like it, especially his torso printing. -Santhor

Hilarious. Very nice, and don't you love the Kraken Attackin'? Except for the tricorne. It looks funny on that guy. Anyway, good work. I should try this...do you mind if I do? Credit goes to you, of course. -Santhor

Review: 852922 Dragon Knight's Battle Pack
Santhor replied to metalandi's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Ditto. *start rant* It might be nicer for the kiddies so they don't have to open the box, find the pointless instructions, *sigh* and then build the minifigs. That's just too much work! I guess TLG just wants them to cut themselves on the plastic packaging. I remember opening Nerf guns and getting blisters from those weird twist-tie things. Anyway, I'm mostly concerned about the printing issue. Overall, would you say it's noticable when side-by-side with the default figures? *end rant* EDIT: Never mind on my second rant, online it shows the in-box picture, and everything's normal. -Santhor -
LEGO design challenge for the US Late Holiday Catalog
Santhor replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Dang it! I'm only four years old! Darn it TLG! (Just kidding) But no, that sounds like a wonderful contest. I'll bet the "surprise 2010 set" will be something like a collectable minifigure or one of those Star Wars watches. By the way, are we allowed to use a background? (Print out a snowy hill for a filler, etc.) -Santhor -
Well, I just meant that he's the main character/center of this vig. -Santhor

For my Western MOCs (after watching 5+ hours of Western shows/movies) I use flesh minifigs, and torsos such as the Rebel trooper in the Blockade Runner and Rebel Trooper Battle Pack from 2008. Also the 2008 Indiana Jones Temple Escape Satipo torso, and the 2009 Ambush in Cairo (Indy's) torso. -Santhor

Thanks Clone Commander Assassin, because I got my BA order yesterday-everything's great-and I got the heavy space rifle as a freebie! Yay! It kind of reminds me of the Wunderwaffe DG-2 from Nazi Zombies (CoD WaW) http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Wunderwaffe_DG-2 Sorry if the link doesn't work, I've been having trouble with that. -Santhor

BEWARE: Collectable Minifigures US Online Purchases
Santhor replied to legitimatealex's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Dang, all this is terrible. And I thought TLG hit rock bottom with the 2008-9 quality issue, and the Kingdoms battlepacks. -Santhor -
Very nice, but also sad. I like how someone finally put a German soldier as the good character, and not an American, as most do. Once again, very nice, to go with a good song. -Santhor

WWII US Paratrooper and Medic
Santhor replied to General Armendariz's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very nice! I believe Milan CMadge on Flickr or Madgio on BA Forums has a technique, and sorry if you're on EB too. Anyway, since I can't get the link to work, I'm just telling you where to find him. -Santhor -
I have yet to play that game. How about the AC8/XM8 in Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2? Not too shabby, IMO. -Santhor
